 The rank card for AP PGECET has been announced on May 20 while the result of AP PGECET 2018 was announced on May 17. The university conducted Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) 2018 from May 10 to 12. AP PGECET 2018 is conducted by the university on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission to 13 M.Tech programmes offered by its participating institutes. The application form of AP PGECET was opened on March 21; last date of submission of application form without late fee was April 29. However, candidates could make corrections in their filled application form from April 25 to May 4, 2018. It was important that candidates check the complete eligibility criteria of AP PGECET 2018 before applying for the exam. The hall ticket of AP PGECET 2018 is available from May 5. Registered candidates can now download the hall ticket after submitting their Registration number, date of birth and exam paper for the entrance test. The admission to participating institutes of AP PGECET 2018 will be on the basis of GATE scores or the AP PGECET entrance exam result.   • The application fee of AP PGECET 2018 has been raised to Rs. 1000 for OC/BC and Rs. 500 for SC/ST category students.

AP PGECET Result 2018

 

The result of AP PGECET 2018 has been released in online mode on May 17. Candidates can check their AP PGECET 2018 result using their registration number, date of birth and exam paper for the entrance exam. AP PGECET 2018 result contains the rank, percentile, scores and qualifying status of the candidates. It is important that candidates download and also take a print out of their AP PGECET result for future use as soon as they are able to access it.

 

AP PGECET Cutoff 2018

 

The cutoff of AP PGECET 2018 will be the minimum marks required for admission in the institute and courses offered by them. Candidates scoring less than AP PGECET 2018 cutoff will be denied admissions. Therefore, candidates will have to meet the cutoff of AP PGECET 2018 to get through the admission procedure. AP PGECET 2018 cutoff will be prepared by the authorities following certain parameters.

 

AP PGECET 2018 Rank Card

 

The AP PGECET rank card has been released on May 20. Candidates who have qualified can download the same by logging in and entering their Registration No, Hall Ticket No and date of birth. In AP PGECET 2018, ranks has been allotted to only those candidates who meet the qualifying percentage marks which is 25% i.e. 30 marks out of 120. For candidates belonging to SC or ST category, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking.

 

AP PGECET 2018 Answer Key

 

The answer key of AP PGECET 2018 have been released in online mode on May 13 for all the candidates to check their answers with the ones' provided by experts. This will allow candidates to calculate their entrance exam marks and hence estimate their admission chances. Candidates can raise objections against AP PGECET 2018 answer key, if not satisfied.

 

AP PGECET Hall Ticket 2018

 

The hall ticket of AP PGECET 2018 has been released by the authorities. AP PGECET hall ticket 2018 is an important document to be carried to the exam centre as entry without it will be restricted. To download AP PGECET 2018 hall ticket/ admit card, candidates will have to log in using their registration number, date of birth and the exam they are appearing for.

  • Candidates will have to submit their registration number, date of birth and exam for the entrance test

  • Click on "Download Hallticket"

  • The hall ticket will be displayed on the screen. The candidates are advised to check the hall ticket for any discrepancies before downloading and printing it out.

Candidates appearing in AP PGECET 2018 must know how to prepare for the exam. For that, it is important that candidates know the prescribed exam pattern and syllabus to be able to prepare accordingly and perform better in the exam.

 

AP PGECET Exam Pattern 2018

 

The exam pattern of AP PGECET 2018 as prescribed by Andhra University has been provided in the table given below. It is to be noted that all candidates will have to appear in Engineering Mathematics section in the exam mandatorily. AP PGECET Syllabus 2018

 

The syllabus of AP PGECET 2018 is released by the university for all 13 disciplines of the exam. Candidates must download AP PGECET 2018 syllabus related to their discipline and follow it while preparing. It is necessary on candidates' part to practise the prescribed AP PGECET syllabus 2018 to be able to perform and score well in the exam.

 

AP PGECET Sample Papers 2018

 

Practising the sample papers of AP PGECET 2018 is important for all the candidates appearing in the entrance exam. AP PGECET sample papers 2018 will help candidates to know the type of questions and frequency of topics that will be asked. Candidates must also practise previous year question papers to prepare well.

 

AP PGECET 2018 Mock Test

 

The mock test of AP PGECET 2018 has been made available by the university for the candidates. Taking up AP PGECET mock test 2018 will allow candidates to appear in the exam confidently,  making them aware of the pattern and type of questions that will be asked. They will also be able to know their speed and time while solving the questions and improve them both, if required before appearing in the main exam.

 

AP PGECET Counselling 2018

 

The counselling of AP PGECET 2018 will be conducted separately for GATE & GPAT qualified candidates and AP PGECET qualified candidates. In AP PGECET 2018 counselling, candidates will have to fill their choices, get their documents verified and pay the counselling fee. Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories will have to pay Rs 600 while SC & ST candidates will have to pay Rs 300 before they participate in the document verification process. The payment can be done either through net banking or by a credit or debit card.

 

AP PGECET Seat Allotment 2018

 

Under the seat allotment of AP PGECET 2018 procedure, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their choice filling, merit and availability of seats. After the seat allotment, candidates will have to visit the allotted institute for admission and complete the remaining formalities.

AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2018

 

The eligibility criteria of AP PGECET 2018 contains certain prescribed terms and conditions which candidates will have to fulfil to be considered as eligible for the exam. AP PGECET 2018 eligibility criteria has been provided in the table given below.

GATE qualified candidates will be eligible for direct admissions

AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria for Admission - Candidates must not confuse between the eligibility criteria for appearing in the exam and admission. For appearing in the exam, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the table above. However, for admission through AP PGECET exam, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

  • Candidates must have appeared and qualified in AP PGECET 2018 exam relevant to the course in which the admission is required.

  • 85% of the seats in AP PGECET for each course will be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% seats will be for unreserved candidates.

  • During seat allotment at the time of admission, first preference will be given to GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates based on their scores.

  • The remaining seats will be allotted to AP PGECET 2018 qualified candidates on the basis of their merit ranks.

AP PGECET Application Form 2018

 

The application form of AP PGECET 2018 was released on March 21 for all the candidates in online mode. Candidates had to provide their personal, academic, qualifying exam and contact details while filling AP PGECET 2018 application form and submit it on or before the prescribed deadline. However, for candidates applying on the basis of their GATE scores will have to fill a separate application form for counselling purpose. 

 

Procedure to Fill AP PGECET Application Form 2018

 

The step-wise procedure to fill the application form of AP PGECET 2018 can be checked by candidates as mentioned below.

  • Step 1 – Application fee payment: Candidates were required to pay the application fee (as mentioned in the table below) and fill in the required details. After making the payment, the candidate received a transaction ID which had to kept safely for future.

  • Step 2 – Registration: Candidates had to register themselves by providing their payment reference ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number and date of birth.

  • Step 3 – Filling of details: Candidates had to provide their personal, qualifying exam, contact details and Aadhaar Card details mandatorily in this step. They were also required to choose exam centre according to their preference and upload their photo and signature in the specified format.

  • Step 4 – Submission: After filling all the details in the application form, it was important that candidates check it carefully and then submit the same. When the form is submitted, a unique registration number was generated that had to be noted down by the candidates for future use. Candidates had to download the filled application form and also take a print out of the same.

AP PGECET Application Fee

 

The application fee of AP PGECET 2018 had to be submitted by candidates as the first step of the application procedure. The prescribed AP PGECET application fee had been provided in the table given below. Category 1 belong to changes that can be done and Category 2 belong to changes that cannot be done in the filled application form.

Note that for applications filled after April 20, there is a late fine of Rs. 2000. The last date to fill AP PGECET with late fine was May 4. 

 

AP PGECET Application Form 2018 Correction 

Candidates could make corrections in their filled application forms from April 25 to May 4, 2018. However, there were certain things in which corrections could be made and there were some in which corrections were not allowed. It was important that candidates made changes in their filled application form very carefully.
