The eligibility criteria of AP PGECET 2019 as officially prescribed are a set of parameters which candidates will have to fulfil to be considered for entrance exam and admission.
According to AP PGECET 2019 eligibility criteria,
Candidates need to be Indian.
They must have appeared in GATE/ GPAT/ AP PGECET in the relevant subjects.
They need to have obtained minimum 50% marks in their B.E/ B.Tech degree if they are from General category. However, if they belong to SC or ST categories, they need 40% marks for the same.
The lower age limit for candidates to be eligible for AP PGECET is 21 years.
For those candidates who are pursuing B.E./ B.Tech will also be eligible to apply for admission. However, they need to have completed their prescribed course with all subjects as passed from the university concerned till the date of AP PGECET counselling.
AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2019 for Admission
To get admission, candidates will have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
It is important for candidates to know that 85% of the seats in AP PGECET for each course will be reserved for local candidates and remaining 15% seats will be for unreserved candidates.
At the time of seat allotment for admission, first preference will be given to GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates on the basis of their scores.s
The seats that will be left unfilled will be allotted to the qualified candidates of AP PGECET 2019 on the basis of their merit ranks.
The application form of AP PGECET 2019 has been released in online mode. Candidates can now fill all the details in AP PGECET 2019 application form and submit it on or before the last date i.e., March 30.
How to fill AP PGECET Application Form 2019?
The complete procedure to fill the application form of AP PGECET 2019 can be checked by candidates as given below.
Step 1 – Payment of application fee: Candidates will have to pay the requisite application fee and provide the details required. Upon successful payment, they will receive a transaction ID which has to be kept safe.

Step 2 – Registration: To register, candidates will have to provide their payment reference ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number and date of birth.
Step 3 – Providing of details: After registration, candidates will have to fill their personal, qualifying exam, communication and Aadhaar Card details. They will also have to choose exam centres according to their preference and upload their photo and signature in the format specified.
Step 4 – Submission of form: As soon as all the details are filled in the form, candidates need to check them carefully and then submit them. A unique registration number will be generated the moment form will be submitted. This number should be noted down by candidates for future. They should also download the filled application form and take its print out.
The exam centres of AP PGECET 2019 are those colleges/ schools/ institutes where candidates will have to visit on the exam day. The answer key of AP PGECET 2019 will be released in online mode on May 5 for all the candidates to be able to check their answers as marked in the exam with the ones' provided by experts. This will help candidates to estimate their entrance exam marks and along with their admission chances. However, candidates can raise objections against AP PGECET 2019 answer key, if they find discrepancy in it.
The authorities will announce the result of AP PGECET 2019 in online mode on May 9. Candidates will be able to check their AP PGECET 2019 result by using their registration number, date of birth and entrance exam paper. AP PGECET 2019 result will contain candidates’ rank, percentile, scores and qualifying status. It is important for candidates to download their result and also take a print out of the same for future use.
Candidates will be able to download their AP PGECET 2019 rank card in the third week of May tentatively. For those who have qualified will be able to download the same by logging in and entering their Registration No, Hall Ticket No and date of birth. In AP PGECET 2019, the ranks will be allotted to only those candidates who meet the qualifying percentage marks which is 25% i.e. 30 marks out of 120. However, for candidates belonging to SC or ST categories, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking.
The cutoff of AP PGECET 2019 will be the minimum marks required by candidates for admission into the institutes participating and courses offered by them. Candidates who will score less than AP PGECET 2019 cutoff will have less chances of admissions. Therefore, candidates will have to meet the cutoff of AP PGECET 2019 to be able to get through the admission procedure. AP PGECET 2019 cutoff will be prepared by the admission authorities concerned using certain influential parameters.
The counselling of AP PGECET 2019 will be conducted only for the qualified candidates of GATE/ GPAT and AP PGECET exam. During AP PGECET 2019 counselling, candidates will have to fill their choices of colleges and courses, get their documents verified and pay the counselling fee. Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories will be required to pay Rs 1000 while SC & ST candidates will have to pay Rs 500 before they participate in the document verification process. The payment can be done either through net banking or by a credit or debit card.
