IIIT Delhi M.Tech Entrance Exam 2019 - Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIITD) has released the second round result of M.Tech CB admission. The allotment candidates will have to pay the admission fee before July 5, 2019 (4 PM). IIIT Delhi M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2019

The conditions and requirements which the candidates have to satisfy for admissions constitute the eligibility criteria of IIIT Delhi M.Tech entrance exam 2019. The candidates are requested to check the criteria before filling out the application form. Inability to meet the IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019 eligibility criteria may lead to the disqualification of the candidates.

  • All candidates must have CGPA of at least 6.5 out of 10 or 65% in their qualifying exam.

  • Candidates must have at least 60% in all previous degrees including 10+2.

  • IIIT-Delhi gives relaxation to SC, ST, OBC, PWD and CW category candidates. Specifically, candidates under these categories have CGPA of at least 6.0 out of 10 or 60%. They must have minimum 55% in all previous degree including 10+2.

*For Point 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, candidates must have done the following either during their qualifying degree or from recognized institution / online education portal:

  • at least one computer programming course, and

  • at least two Mathematics courses

Valid GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET is not mandatory, but candidates having any one of these will be given additional weightage:

Candidates in the final year of their programs and who expect to complete all their qualifying degree requirements before the date of registration are also eligible to apply for admissions. For shortlisting and selection purposes, their performance until the preceding semester will be considered but their admission will be provisional, subject to their meeting the minimum eligibility criteria after their final qualifying examination results are announced.

Candidates should have qualified JNU CEEB (for CB).

M.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering)

For CSE programme, both GATE and Non-GATE candidates are eligible to apply for admission with B.Tech/BE or MCA/MSc in CS/IT (& its allied areas) with a CGPA of at least 7.00 out of 10 or 65% marks.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Application Form 2019

The authorities had released the application form of IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019. To participate in the entrance examination, the candidates had to fill the application form with valid information and submit it before April 15 for CB and April 18, 2019 for ECE & CSE. Invalid or incomplete applications was not accepted.


Steps to fill IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019 Application Form

The candidates could follow the given steps to successfully fill and submit the application form of IIIT Delhi M.Tech Entrance Exam 2019.


Step 1 - Registration: To register for the entrance examination, the candidates had to submit their name, email ID and mobile number. A password also had to be created by the candidates.


Step 2 - Filling of Online Application Form: After the candidates were registered, they had to provide the following details:

  • GATE 2019 Result Details

  • Personal Information such as Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category and more.

  • Corresponding Address

  • Contact Information such as email address and more.

  • 10+2th standard details

  • B.Tech/B.E details

  • B.Tech/B.E Marks

  • Declaration of Information


Step 3 - Uploading of Photograph: The scanned copy of the candidate’s photograph as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities had to be uploaded. The photograph should have been recent and in JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF format.


Step 4 - Application Fee Payment: Next, the candidates had to pay the required application fee. Payment of the fee could be done in online mode i.e., net banking/debit card/credit card. Failure to make the payment will not allow the candidates to move forward with the application process.

Step 5 - Submission of Application Form: A unique application ID was generated for the registered candidates after the payment process was completed. The candidates had to keep the application ID safely for future login purpose. A print out of the filled application form had to be taken for future use.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Admit Card 2019

Registered candidates could access the admit card of IIIT Delhi M.Tech Entrance Exam 2019 in online mode. The admit card is an important document that had to be kept safe and secure since it had to be produced at the examination centre. If the candidates failed to provide the admit card at the exam centre, then they were disqualified.

  • The registered email address and password has to be provided by the candidates.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Selection Procedure 2019

The stages of IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019 selection procedure is given below for the candidate’s reference. All stages must be completed for admission into the institute.


Stage 1

Candidates are screened as per their performance in GATE as well as their academic records (B.Tech/B.E and 10+2). For the next stage, maximum 430 CS & ECE (250 for CS and 180 for ECE) and 100 candidates for CB will be called in.


Stage 2

The candidates have to attempt the IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019 entrance exam which will test the candidate’s on their Mathematics, Analytical Abilities and Comprehension Skills.


Stage 3

The qualified candidates have to report to the institute for an interview. After the interview, document verification will be done. Confirmation of admission can be done by paying the required fee.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Counselling 2019

Qualified candidates can apply for the counselling of IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019. The authorities are conducting the counselling process in offline mode. However, the list of allotted candidates is released online. Payment of fee has to be done in online mode by the selected candidates. Reporting for interview has to be done to the institute and the candidates who pass the interview will have to undergo document verification. After the documents are verified, the candidates will be able to confirm their allotment. Three rounds of seat allotment and counselling of IIIT Delhi M.Tech 2019 is being conducted.

Basic Requirements for Getting into IITs for M.Tech is that B.Tech percentage must be above 60%.
Some IITs take direct admission on the basis of your Gate score.But some also take written exam and interview followed by Gate score.

You have to be in final year to write the entrance test ie apply for  IIIT Delhi .

So start preparing for it  but it's only for those who are in fourth year .

IIIT Delhi is a very good institute with excellent placements for postgraduates.

Why iiit Hyderabad is not mentioned in josaa counselling choices

IIIT Hyderabad is an autonomous university and is thus free to choose its own means of admission. It's undergraduate admissions are carried out directly by the institute and the institute clearly states that it has no other companies providing indirect admission services. JoSAA is thus not involved in their admission procedure. The many modes of admission in IIIT Hyderabad are the following-

1. JEE main score 

150 seats of B.tech( 90 CSE and 60 ECE) are filled by this process. A separate application portal is to be filled in their website. Rounds of allotment then take place based on JEE Main total percentile.

2. Undergraduate Entrance Exam (UGEE)

This is for admission to dual degree programmes of ECE and CSE.  Applicants appear for a computer based test having two sections: Subject Proficiency Test and Research Aptitude Test. Shortlisted candidates have to clear an interview to get admission.

3. Special Channel of Admission (SPEC) 

20 seats for B.tech(10 CSE and 10 ECE) are filled by this process. This is for students with extraordinary talent or background who have either qualified the UDAAN scheme of CBSE or are in an integrated 6 year 12th + B.tech programme after class 10. They appear for an entrance followed by interview.

4. Olympiad/KVPY

Students who have secured distinctions such as being selected for Olympiads at the national level or got a high rank in KVPY are exempted from writing UGEE and directly called for interview to secure admission for the dual degree programmes.

5. Direct Admissions for Students Abroad (DASA)

This is based on SAT score. 41 seats are available by this. It is applicable for both single and dual degree programmes.

Hello,

Since the first round of IIIT-H counselling has been declared. It is definitely the right time for asking this question. IIITH counselling happens in 4 different rounds. The demand for CS branch is traditionally high in IIIT Hyderabad due to its high packages and unique environment. As the first round closed in 573 rank.

Your rank is still around 300 above the cutoff for the first round. While the closing rank definitely goes down as further rounds continue and some other results get declared. Predicting further rounds is indeed difficult due to a changed ranking pattern of JEE this year. I won't give you false hopes though, your chance of getting CSE in IIITH moderate. We cannot exactly predict what happens in counselling but as seen from previous year trends the drop in marks is 15-20 until round 4 (in 2018 it dropped from 287 marks to 256 marks). Thus, considering trends, the rank will come down around 850-900. It's possible, yet difficult if the closing rank will come further low. While you still have a bleak chance getting CSE but don't just hang on it.
