To apply for JNU 2025 M.Tech admission, candidates will have to meet certain the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. Aspirants can access the JNU M.Tech 2025 application form in online mode on the official website, jnu.ac.in. The application process comprises steps such as registration, filling out personal details, uploading scanned documents and payment of fee. All applicants must ensure to enter valid and correct details while filling out the JNU M.Tech application form. Candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps to submit the JNU M.Tech admission registration form.
Step 1 - Registration: Candidates have to register by submitting information like candidate's name, email ID, mobile number, nationality and date of birth. On successful registration, the confirmation message or email will be received at registered mobile number and email address respectively.
Step 2 - Log-in to application portal and fill the form: Log-in to the application portal to fill details in the application form. To log-in, enter the registered email/application number address and password. After log-in, enter all the requisite information in the application form. Provide personal, academic and contact details.
Step 3 - Upload scanned images of photograph and signature: After providing requisite details, it will be indicated to upload their scanned images of photograph and signature in prescribed format as mentioned below.

Step 4 - Review the filled in application form: Review the filled in application form before proceeding to the payment gateway. While reviewing the application form, if any information entered is found incorrect, it can be rectified.
Step 5 - Pay application fee: After completing the above steps, candidates will be redirected to payment gateway. The application fee will have to be paid in an online mode only. The payment can be either done through credit/debit card or SBI net banking.

The admission committee will prepare the JNU M.Tech merit list based on the marks obtained in the entrance test and the deprivation points awarded (if any). Authorities will award a maximum of 12 deprivation points to eligible candidates. The JNU M.Tech merit list 2025 will be prepared category and department-wise.
The authority will conduct JNU M.Tech admission counselling based on the CUET PG result. Admission to M.Tech in CSE and M.Tech in ECE will be done through CCMT counselling. Candidates who are ranked higher will be given preference during the counselling of JNU M.Tech admission 2025. Candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling in person. During the process, they will have to get their documents verified for JNU M.Tech seat allotment. No seat will be allotted to candidates if documents have not been verified during counselling.

Yes, you can change your category from General to OBC during the GATE 2026 correction window.
GATE always allows candidates to correct details like category. You will need to pay a small correction fee for this change. Make sure you upload a valid OBC certificate as per the format and date mentioned by GATE.
So, wait for the correction window, log in to your application, and update your category to OBC.
