Eligibility Criteria for KRCL Recruitment through GATE 2024

Candidates who wish to apply for the KRCL recruitment through GATE 2024 have to meet the eligibility criteria. The authority will release the eligibility criteria for the KRCL recruitment through GATE along with the official advertisement. • Candidates should be citizens of India.

• Attested copy of the Aadhar card has to be submitted at the time of Group Discussion

• Full time regular Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology with not less than 65% marks in aggregate taking average of all the Semesters/Years

• Candidates must qualify and have a valid score in GATE 2023.

• Upper Age limit is 25 years

• The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). Relaxation in age for Ex-Servicemen will be as per directives of Govt. of India

• Candidates who are presently employed in Central/ State Govt./ PSUs/ Autonomous bodies must submit a “ No Objection Certificate” from their present employer at the time of the personal interview failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the personal interview

Note: Female applicants may kindly note that if selected, they may be called upon duties which are arduous in nature and include working on railway station at odd hours, at the roadside station or in mid-section in difficult terrain as well as away from headquarters.

How to apply for KRCL Recruitment through GATE 2024?

• Complete the form with valid information

• The details should match the GATE score card like name, date of birth, address, etc.

• After submission, a unique application number will be allotted to the candidates which have to be noted and kept safe for future reference

• Candidate will be allowed to apply for a single post only.

Application fees: Candidates must send a Demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favor of FA & CAO/KRCL payable at Navi Mumbai along with the printout of the application form and other documents. The examination fee is non-refundable. There is no fee for SC/ST candidates.

Submission of the application form for KRCL recruitment through GATE:

• Candidates must take a printout of the online application.

• Put the signature in the given space on the form.

• Affix a self-attested photo in the space provided

• Attach the required documents along with the application form.

Documents to be attached with the application:

• Two attested passport size photographs

• Attested Xerox copy of Valid GATE- score card

• DD of Rs 500/- (Not for SC/ST)

Selection procedure:

Below is the selection process for KRCL recruitment through GATE

• Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the GATE scores, Group Discussion, a Presentation and a Personal Interview

• The weightage of marks will be
  GATE score- 75%,
  Group Discussion-5%,
  Presentation-5%,
  Personal Interview-15%.

The minimum overall qualifying final mark will be 60%.

Selection and Training: Selected candidate will be appointed as Assistant Engineer. They will have to undergo training & probation for a period of two years

Pay Scale: During training, candidates will be paid 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level -8 (As per 6th CPC, CDA Pay scale of PB-2, 9300-34800 with GP Rs.4800/-). After the completion of training and probation payment will be regularised in pay Matrix level 10 of 7th CPC- ) (As per 6th CPC, CDA Pay scale of PB-3, 15,600-39,100 with GP Rs.5400/-)

Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates have to execute a service agreement bond to complete the training as well as the probation period and serve the organization for at least five years. Candidates who fail to serve the organization or resign from service during training/probation or within a period of five years after the training &/or probation period will have to refund the whole cost of training & probation, cost of boarding and lodging, stipend/pay and/ allowances of any kind as well as any other amount paid during the period of probation with 12.5% as interest on the whole amount.

Note: Suitable candidates who are shortlisted will be placed in a list that will be valid for a period of 1 year from the declaration of the result. Any future vacancies that may arise within the year will be filled from this list subject to the decision of KRCL in this regard
