The authorities have released the application form for TIET M.Tech admission 2024 in online mode. Candidates need to follow the series of steps mentioned below to apply for M.Tech at TIET.
Registration - Candidates need to visit the Thapar University official website at thapar.edu and open the link to PG application. They have to register first by entering basic information like name, mobile number, email Id and M.Tech programme. After successful TIET M.Tech registration, candidates will receive their password and instructions to fill TIET M.Tech application form 2024 on their registered email ID.
TIET Application Form - After completing the registration process, candidates have to log in using their registered email and password to proceed with the application. At this stage, further details have to be entered including personal, academic and educational details.
Document Uploading - Candidates have to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature along with their parent’s signature as per the instructions issued by the authorities.
Application Fee - After providing all necessary details and uploading documents, the last step is the payment of the requisite TIET M.Tech application fee. Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 1500 payable in online or offline mode. Candidates must take a printout of the application form before payment for offline mode and after payment for online mode.
Offline Payment - Candidates who wish to pay their fees in offline mode will have to send a DD of Rs 1500 drawn in favour of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology and payable at Patiala to:

The authorities will prepare separate merit lists for GATE-qualified and non-GATE candidates. TIET M.Tech merit list for GATE-qualified candidates will be based on candidate ranks in the exam. However, the merit list for non-GATE TIET offline test candidates will be prepared based on marks secured by them in the entrance exam.
The authorities will announce the opening and closing ranks within which, TIET M.Tech admissions 2024 will be offered. The candidates appearing for TIET entrance test 2024 will have to score a minimum 30% marks (25% in case of SC/ ST candidates) to qualify for postgraduate admission.
The authorities will conduct counselling in offline mode for candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit list and cutoff. Initially, TIET M.Tech counselling will be conducted for GATE-qualified candidates. This will be followed by counselling for non-GATE candidates.
