RGIPT M.Tech Admission 2017 - RGIPT has announced the list of selected candidates for the M.Tech programme. Candidates will have to pay the fees by July 27, 2017. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the admission. Candidates are selected to the Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme in petroleum engineering or chemical engineering at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) on the basis of the GATE score, as well as the written aptitude test and/or personal interview. RGIPT is the exam conducting body for the national level written test for admission to M.Tech programmes. RGIPT M.Tech Admission 2017 lays down the information related to the important dates, eligibility criteria and application form. Candidates must have timely knowledge about the activities related to admission in M. Tech as this will enable them to prepare well in advance about the written test. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) offers admission to candidates who seek admission in M.Tech subject to their fulfilling the RGIPT M.Tech 2017 eligibility criteria.
1. It is important for candidates to have a valid GATE score in the discipline in which they were applying
2. It is mandatory for candidates to score at least 60% marks or 6.0 CPI in the qualifying exam.
3. Candidates who belong to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe, they are required to score minimum 55% marks or 5.5 CPI in the qualifying exam
4. Candidates will be able to be secure admission only if they have cleared Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in the disciplines that are mentioned by RGIPT
Note: Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the written test, interview, GATE score and the academic performance of the candidate.
The application form for RGIPT M.Tech 2017 is available from April 12, 2017 and the last date for submission of it is June 30, 2017.
Candidates who are eligible to take up admission in M.Tech at RGIPT are required to fill the RGIPT M.Tech 2017 application form, where first they will have to pay the fees and register all the other details related to academics, personal information, contact details. Candidates can make the pay application fees either online or through debit card, credit card or through e-challan.
Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 400 while those belonging to schedule caste (SC) and schedule tribe (ST)will have to pay Rs 200
Candidates are required to upload their scanned picture and signature according to the dimensions and the format that is mentioned in the application form.
RGIPT M.Tech Counselling 2017
The counselling of RGIPT M.Tech 2017 will commence in July tentatively. At the time of the written test and interview for RGIPT M.Tech Admission, candidates will be required to furnish all the original documents for verification.

Candidates are required to present their marksheet of all four years of graduation

Candidates must furnish their caste certificate according to the central list for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Class category

Physically Handicapped candidates are required to present a valid certificate
Those candidates who belong to Other Backward Class category will have to present a non-creamy layer certificate and a self-declaration which has to be signed by the candidate.
Candidates are required to fix four passport size coloured photograph on the RGIPT Application form of 2017
On confirmation of seats candidates are required to pay their fees and confirm their admission.
