GATE 2019 was conducted by IIT Madras on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019. The registration for GATE 2019 was from August 31 till September 21 without late fee and till October 1, 2018 with late fee. GATE 2019 result has been announced on March 15, 2019 and the score cards of GATE 2019 will be released separately on March 20.

Eligibility Parameters for HPCL
Indians only can apply
Candidates must have passed/cleared full time 4 years bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
Candidates belonging to General and OBC (NCL) categories should have secured at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination
Candidates from SC/ST and PwD categories should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying test
Final year students
At the time of filling the application form or applying
Gen/OBC (NCL) category candidates must have secured 60% aggregate marks, while SC/ST/PwD candidates should have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks till the last semester examination
For Selection However, the condition for the final year students is that they should submit their final mark sheet by August 31, 2019
OBC NCL Reservation Certificate as on February, 2019 (exact date will be specified later)
Candidates should not belong to creamy layer. Also, the caste & community of the candidate must be listed in the ‘Central list of Other Backward Classes’
The certificate must be in the prescribed format applicable for purpose of reservation in appointment to posts under Government of India/Central Government Public Sector Undertaking as contained in DOPT Memo No. 36036/2/2013- Estt. (Res.) dated 30-05-2014 from a competent authority issued in 2018.
Age Limit as on June 30, 2019
Candidates from General Category are not required to be more than 25 years. In other words, candidates are required to be born on or after June 30, 1994
Relaxation to different category candidates as follows
5 years for SC & ST
3 years for OBC-NC
10 years for PWD (UR)
13 years for PWD (OBC-NC)
15 years for PWD (SC/ST) candidates
Candidates domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during January 1, 1981 to December 31, 1990 can avail relaxation up to 5 years
Ex-servicemen & Commissioned Officers (including ECOs/ SSCOs) – 5 years relaxation subject to rendering minimum 5 years service in Armed Forces and fulfilment of other conditions prescribed by the Government of India
At the time of interview, all candidates employed in Government/Semi- Government/Central/State
Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings are required to produce ‘No Objection
Certificate’ from their employer

Stage 1 - Registration
The first step in HPCL recruitment is registration. To do that, candidates muct click on “Career Opportunities”. Registration for HPCL recruitment through GATE 2019 will only be possible after downloading their GATE admit card 2019 on which their GATE registration number 2019 will be available. Candidates have to login and use this registration number of GATE 2019 to register.
Stage 2 - Filling application form and submission
After registration, candidates need to fill the application form by entering the following details,

Candidates may next upload their resume and photograph as per the specification mentioned above.
They must submit the application form online after which a unique 12 digit HPCL Application Number will be generated. Candidates must download their application form and take a printout of the same. They must then affix a recent passport size photograph on it and put the signature at the specified space. This printed application form must be kept safe as it will be required at various steps of the recruitment process.
Stage 3 - Application fee payment
General category candidates have to pay Rs 236 in case of debit cards, Rs 271 in case of credit cards and Rs 271 in case of payment through bank vouchers. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment.

For online payment
Payment can be done through Credit/Debit Card. Candidates will find the status changed to Payment Received on successful fee payment. Take a printout of the acknowledgement of payment and keep it safe.
For offline payment through SBI Challan
Download the challan and take a printout.
After two working days of application submission, go and deposit the amount in cash in HPCL Powerjyoti A/C Number 32315049001 at nearest SBI branch
After the fee payment, cross-check and ensure that the bank affixes ‘payment received’ stamp and Journal no. on both parts of challan.
Collect the ‘Candidate’s copy’ of part 2 of the challan from the bank and keep it safe for future reference.
On successful fee payment, the payment status will change to “Payment Received”
Note: If the fee payment status is not updated to “Payment Received” within 3-4 working days, then the candidates must mail the scanned copy of paid challan to [email protected]

Selected candidates have to undergo one year of training (mandatory) post which they will be absorbed as Officers at HPCL. Candidates can be posted for shift duties in any SBU/Division/Department of the PSU at any place in the country/otherwise.
Training & Probation
For 1 year from the date of joining, the selected Officers will be on Probation. Post successful training completion, they will be confirmed as officers in Grade A. Confirmation letters will be given to them subject to complying with satisfactory performance, attendance requirements, verification of antecedents, verification of caste status/certificate and caste validity wherever applicable and qualifying in technical competency test and project. Rs 5000 will be deducted as retention amount during the first six months of probation. This amount will be refunded after confirmation.
Pay Scale and Perks
On joining, the candidates will also be entitled to additional benefits as applicable. Besides Basic Pay, they will be entitled to allowance at 50% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach (including medical benefits for self and family members), Dearness Allowance, HRA and retirement Benefits up to 30% of Basic Pay & DA which include Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, and Superannuation Benefit applicable as per Corporation’s policy in force at that time. Apart from this, Performance Related Pay (PRP) is also paid to them as per the PSU's policy.

They declare openings. you have keep track of it and apply accordinly to get an opportunity to go through the selection process and get a job at a space center.
