NPCIL Recruitment through GATE 2021 - Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has released the NPCIL recruitment through GATE notification at its official website on February 23. The last date to apply for NPCIL Recruitment through GATE 2020 was March 9. This year NPCIL is not considering GATE 2021 score for the recruitment. The recruitment is done for the position of Executive Trainees. Engineering graduates in Mechanical. Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, Industrial and Fire Safety engineering are eligible. Candidates with a valid GATE score (2018/ 2019/ 2020) can apply for the NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020. Selection will be based on the GATE Scores. Steps to fill the online application form of NPCIL Recruitment through GATE
Step 1: Registration
Candidates are required to first register for COAP 2020 before filling the NPCIL application form.
Candidates have to register using the GATE 2020/ 2019/ 2018 application number mentioned on the GATE admit card. Enter COAP registration number, discipline of GATE, name, date of birth, email, phone number and category.
On successful registration, an activation link will be sent to the applicant’s email.
Candidates have to click on the link to activate the registration process and complete the registration process.
Step 2: Login to fill the application details
Candidates have to login using their login id and password to fill their personal details, GATE details, Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, choice of Written/Online Test centre in case a test is being conducted for the post etc.
This stage is a multi-stage one and candidates are allowed to go to next stage only on entering the information required for current stage. The sequence of the details that have to be filled are given below:

The State Bank Collect facility can also be operated through the www.onlinesbi.co.in website by selecting State Bank Collect option.

After payment take the print of the transaction for proof of payment
Important: All applicants should mention the NPCIL Application No. while paying the fee using State Bank Collect. The information entered while making the online payment through ‘State Bank Collect’ should be the same as entered in online NPCIL application. The details of the application fee will be updated after three working days from actual payment date. Once the details of payment are updated, candidates can check their application details using the "Application Fee Payment Details" link given below
Step 4 - Printing of the NPCIL application form - Candidates will able to view or print their NPCIL application only after verification of payment of fee. Candidates must print the same and submit it at the time of the interview along with the printed receipt of ‘State Bank Collect’
Shortlisting and Selection for NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the availability of the ‘Interview Call Letter’ through email and SMS.
The date, time and venue of the interview will be mentioned in the ‘NPCIL Interview Call Letter’.
Candidates must login, download and print the interview call letter of NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020.
They are required to carry the same to the interview venue failing which they will not be allowed to appear for interview.
All the shortlisted applicants must carry with them the following document when reporting for the personal interview. They must carry the originals as well as a set of self-attested copies of the same.
Photo identity proof of PAN Card/Driving License/AADHAR Card/Voter ID/College ID/Government issued ID
Interview Call Letter bearing photograph of the candidate.
NPCIL application form.
Date of Birth (DOB) proof - School Leaving Certificate/ Xth STD Passing Certificate indicating Date of Birth.
Degree Certificate/ Provisional Certificate (in case Degree Certificate is not issued)
Applicants who have been awarded CGPA/ GPA/ SGPA or letter grades will be required to produce the authenticated conversion table from the Institute/College/University. If not, standard formula provided by AICTE will be applied to derive the percentage of marks.
No Objection Certificate for candidates working in Central/State Government/PSUs/Aided Institutions
Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in case of PWD candidates.
SC/ ST/ OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates must produce Caste certificates, as per the format prescribed by the Government of India.
Note: OBC applicants who belong to "Creamy layer" are not entitled for relaxations and concessions admissible to OBC Category (Non Creamy Layer). OBC (Non Creamy Layer) applicants are required to submit caste certificate in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued after April 1, 2017.
NPCIL recruitment Selection Process - Weightage given to GATE and Interview
- GATE scores are only used to shortlist candidates.
- The performance in the interview is given weightage for final selection.
- Qualifying marks for a candidate in interview - 70% for Gen/OBC candidates while it is 60% for SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwBD candidates
Training and Placement:
All selected candidates will have to undergo one year orientation training in any of the Nuclear Training Centres of NPCIL located at Tarapur Maharashtra Site, Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site, MAPS Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu), Kaiga Site (Karnataka) and Kudankulam (Tamil Nadu).
Trainees who successfully complete one year orientation training will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C and posted at one of the Units/Sites/Offices of NPCIL located at different parts of the country.
Additional increment/s, as per extant rules, depending upon performance during training program may also be granted.
In addition to emoluments as above, other things like PF, LTC, Medical facility, Canteen Subsidy, Performance Incentive, Group Insurance, Gratuity, Housing, transport etc are available as per extant rules depending on place of posting

Question: I am ME / M Tech, Can I apply for NPCIL recruitment through GATE?
Answer:
Yes. You can provided you have passed BE / B Tech / B Sc (Engineering) in the prescribed discipline with a minimum 60% marks.
Question: In my Degree Certificate, only CGPA / GPA / SGPA or letter grade is mentioned . How can I enter the grade in my application?
Answer:
In such a case, applicants should follow the conversion table of the Institute / College / University from wherever they have passed. During the interview, they will be required to produce the authenticated conversion table from the Institute / College / University. If this is not available, the standard formula provided by AICTE will be applied to derive the percentage of marks
Question: I have appeared for my final year exams and the results are yet to be announced. Can I apply for the NPCIL recruitment?
Answer:
Yes. You can but if you are selected and offered traineeship, you will be required to submit the final results on or before last date.
Question: I have forgotten my Registration Number and also forgot to take a print out of the ‘Online Application Form’. How can I retreive it?
Answer:
Please check your e-mail. After registration, an e-mail is sent to each applicant along with the registration number and name. The printout of the online Application Form will be required at the time of Interview only, so its advisable to take one and save it.
Question: Is there any means to check my application status for NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020?
Answer:
Yes. You can click on "Applicant's Login" menu and check the status of your application by entering your relevant details and keep a track on it.
Question: I did not get the activation email after I finished registering. What should I do?
Answer:
Please check the spam folder. It may have gone in there. If not, please register again as it means that the registration was not successful.
Question: I did not receive any SMS once I completed my registration for NPCIL recruitment. What can be the reason?
Answer:
You may have registered for DND (do not disturb) and hence it may be in the TRAI NCPR. This means that you will not receive SMS alerts related to the registration. If you want to receive future SMS alerts from NPCIL, please remove your mobile number from the NCPR list through your service provider.
Question: I have completed a 5 years integrated (dual degree). What should I fill in my application form?
Answer:
Select the 5 year integrated M Tech option given in the UG degree column of the application form for NPCIL recruitment.
Question: My degree is in subjects like "Electrical & Electronics", "Electronics & Instrumentation", then what is discipline I should put in my application form?
Answer:
Candidates with dual degree can apply under one discipline only and this should be the discipline for which they have appeared in GATE examination. Their degree should have explicit mention of the discipline either as a first discipline or second discipline e.g. candidates with degrees in disciplines like "Electrical & Electronics" or "Electronics & Instrumentation" may apply under any one of the two relevant disciplines i.e. "Electrical" or "Electronics" in the former case and "Electronics" or "Instrumentation" in the latter case. Candidates are not permitted to simultaneously apply under two disciplines.

As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam,difficulty level of paper etc.based on previous year data you have tough chances to fetch seat at iit bombay based on last year cutoffs it was more than 700.also for iit madras ,iit hyderabad the cutoff rose to more than 600 last year.however you can have few chances in NIT kurukshetra,NIT roukela based on last year cutoff.note that as each year cutoff changes so are your chances into colleges.for more information refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff

The minimum marks required to qualify the examination comprises GATE Biomedical Engineering cutoff. Candidates can access the qualifying cut off marks of GATE 2021 for Biomedical Engineering. This year the highest marks is 64 and the cut off marks for this course is 25 out of 100.

I hope you are doing good. I would glad to aware you that you need have to score 6.0cgpa or 55 percent in aggregate in your bachelor of technology degree for getting admission into IITs . You also need to have good rank in gate to get admission tier-1 college of India . Dont wait for the last year of bachelors to start preparation , just make a proper roadmap and start asap
