BSNL JTO Recruitment through GATE 2026 - BSNL will release the JTO recruitment through GATE 2026 notification on the official website. The authority will commence the registration process for BSNL JTO recruitment online. The recruitment will be done for the post of Junior Telecom Officers (JTO) in Civil and Electrical disciplines of telecom based on valid GATE 2026 scores.There will be no interview for this recruitment, and it will solely be based on the merit of the scores of GATE. Shortlisted candidates will be able to download their call letters by logging into their account after it is announced by BSNL.
Candidates having B.E./B.Tech in Civil and Electrical are eligible to apply and are required to have appeared in GATE 2026. Candidates are required to have appeared for GATE 2026 to be considered eligible for recruitment. Selection Procedure for the BSNL JTO Recruitment through GATE 2026
Selection of candidates will be against the vacancies of a particular Circle as per the preference of the candidate.
Candidates will be required to choose one circle while filling the application and will be considered for the same.
A circle-wise merit list will be prepared by the authorities based on the GATE 2026 scores of the applicants and the vacancies available under the circle.
Accordingly, a circle-wise cutoff will also be determined and used to screen the applicants while preparing the merit list for each circle.
There will be no interview or examination for this recruitment.
Candidates who are shortlisted will be required to get their documents verified and will be issued call letters thereafter.
There will be a pre-appointment training which candidates will have to qualify to be selected.
Candidates who do not qualify in the Pre-appointment training in the first attempt will be given a second attempt to qualify.
Documents required for verification during BSNL JTO Recruitment through GATE 2026:
Date of Birth: The date of birth entered in matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a Certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. No other certificate will be accepted.

Training: Candidates will have to undergo training as per the training plan laid down by BSNL. Candidates will be entitled to a stipend during the training period.
Salary Details for BSNL JTO Recruitment through GATE 2026
During Training: Candidates will be entitled to Stipend (Training Allowance) as per the company rules
Selected candidates will be appointed with an IDA Pay Scale of E1 Rs.16400-40500 with an annual increment @ 3% of basic pay plus IDA, HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits, etc. The confirmation will be of Grade B at the executive level as per the norms of BSNL.
Candidates will be required to serve in the circle they have been selected for.
However, BSNL has the right to post any selected JTO(T)( Junior Telecom Officer Telecom) to any of the Circles either temporarily or permanently
Service Bond for BSNL JTO Recruitment through GATE 2026: Selected candidates will be required to execute a Bond in the format as specified by the Company to serve in BSNL for 2 years from the date of their appointment as JTO(T)( Junior Telecom Officer for Telecom department) or a period as specified by BSNL for the post from time to time.

This is likely a temporary portal or validation issue, not something you did wrong. When candidates try to change category from GEN to OBC-NCL during the GATE correction window, the system checks required fields and sometimes a supporting certificate or fee is needed. Explain to them that first they should log into the GATE portal, open the Correction tab and confirm which fields are editable and whether a payment or document upload is required for category change. The GATE 2026 Agricultural Engineering (AG) paper will have a total of 100 marks. Out of this, 15 marks are for General Aptitude and 85 marks are for core Agricultural Engineering subjects.
The marks are generally distributed among major topics like Engineering Mathematics (12–13 marks), Farm Machinery (10–11), Farm Power (14–15), Soil & Water Conservation (12–13), Irrigation & Drainage (10–12), Agricultural Process Engineering (10–12), and Dairy & Food Engineering (9–10 marks).
The official qualifying marks for GATE 2026 are not yet released. However, based on previous years, the cutoff for the Agricultural Engineering paper is expected to be around 25 marks for General, 22.5 for OBC/EWS, and 16.6 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
