AAI Recruitment through GATE 2019 – The Airport Authority of India (AAI) will release the application form for AAI recruitment through GATE 2019 tentatively from the first week of April. Candidates will be able to apply for the AAI recruitment through GATE till the last week of May tentatively. Graduates in Civil, Electrical or Electronics engineering and Architecture will be eligible to apply for the recruitment by AAI through GATE. Candidates having valid GATE 2019 scores only are eligible to apply for the AAI recruitment through GATE. Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 300 online (reserved category, female and PwD candidates are exempt). Candidates will be shortlisted and selected on the basis of their GATE 2019 scores. The shortlisted candidates will have to report for document verification for final selection. Candidates must have passed a full time 4 years bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology
Candidates should have secured at least 60% aggregate marks. Candidates applying for Architecture must be registered with the Council of Architecture.
Final year students
Age Limit as on April 30, 2019
The maximum age limit for the General category candidates is 27 years.
Relaxation to different category candidates as per government guideline
OBC Candidates: Not more than 30 years.
SC/ST Candidate: Not more than 32 years.
Ex-servicemen: age relaxation as prescribed by Govt. of India orders issued from time-to-time.
J&K Candidates domiciled during the period 01.01.80 to 31.12.1989: not more than 32 years.
All candidates employed in Government/Semi- Government/Central/State Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings are required to produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer during the interview if they are shortlisted.

GATE Score Card
Step 1 - Sign Up:
Candidates must sign up to register first by entering the post
Next they should fill in their GATE Year, Paper, Registration Number, All India Rank (AIR), Score and Marks (out of 100)
They must then enter their name, a valid Email ID and mobile number
After successful registration, a user name and password generated by the system will be sent to the Email ID of the candidate
Step 2 – Log in
Candidates have to login by using the User ID and password sent to them via email. They have the option to change the password if they need to.
They must change the given password to one that is suitable to them.
After logging in, candidates should fill up their personal, academic and other details as required.
They must check the details before submitting the same
Step 3 - Uploading the photograph and signature
Candidates must upload their signature and photograph as instructed. The dimensions and specifications for the same are given above.
They must submit the form and wait for 24 hours to make the payment
Step 4 - Payment of the application fee
Candidates must wait for 24 hours after submission of the application form to make the payment
Female/ Pwd/ SC/ST candidates need not pay the fees and can directly go to the print option to print their application form.
The application fees are Rs 300 to be paid online through Internet Banking/Debit/Credit Card only from State Bank Collect System.
Candidates must note the 10 digit Transaction Reference Number starting with “DU” that is generated after payment for their future reference
Step 5 - Printout of the application form
Candidates must take a printout of the application form to be furnished if shortlisted.
Candidates who are shortlisted will be sent the call letter for document verification to their registered email ID.
They must report to AAI for document verification on the specified dates as mentioned on the call letters
Candidates must take a copy of the call letter and carry it for document verification.
Candidates must carry their Original Certificates along with a proof of identity and one set of self-attested photocopies of the Certificates.
After verification is complete, the selection will be finalized on the basis of a merit list prepared using the GATE 2019 marks of the candidates
Selected candidates will be sent appointment letters subject to verification of various original documents relating to Age, Qualifications, Caste & Medical fitness certificate.
Pay Scale for AAI Recruitment through GATE 2019:
Candidates will be paid a pay scale of Rs.40000‐3%‐140000 and appointed in E-1 grade.
The Emoluments paid will consist of Basic Pay, increment @ 3% of Basic Pay per annum, Dearness Allowance, Perks @ 35 % of Basic Pay, HRA and Other benefits which includes CPF, Gratuity, Social Security Schemes, Medical Benefits, uniform allowance etc., as admissible as per AAI rules.
The Cost to Company per annum would be around Rs. 9.1 lakhs approximately
Service Bond - Selected candidates for the post of Junior Executive will be required to execute a surety bond for an amount of Rs 5 lakhs to serve AAI for a period of three years after completion of training.
AAI is yet to announce the cutoff of 2019 for the recruitment through GATE. However, candidates can check the previous years' cutoff by then. The details are given in the table below

Mos of the recruiters allows a academic gap of 3 years at maximum. So if you have 3 years of academic gap, then you will be okay with most of the companies. However, if you have total gap more than that then it will shrink your opportunities but that does not mean you'll not get a job. It is just some recruiters won't allow you.

In order to take the GATE exam, you have to have to have a graduation degree of at least four years.
In your case: B Sc. (Research)/ B.S.- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Post-Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2)
So it is has to be either B.Sc Research or if you have done BS from IISER, then you will be eligible to write the GATE exam.
