Candidates who will not satisfy the minimum NSIT M.Tech eligibility criteria will not be eligible for final seat allotment. The authorities will release the application form of NSIT M.Tech 2020 tentatively in the second week of June. Applicants will be able to apply for NSIT M.Tech 2020 in online mode. The application process will include various steps like registration, filling of application form, uploading documents and payment of application fees. Candidates can refer the given steps to understand the application process of NSIT M.Tech 2020 in detail.
Step 1: Registration - In the first step, candidates will have to register by entering basic details like name, date of birth, gender along with valid mobile number and email Id. A 7-digit unique registration number will be generated after successful registration. It should be noted that separate application forms are to be filled for each program.
Step 2: Filling of Application Form - In the next step, candidates will have to login to the candidate portal using the registration number to fill all the required details of the form like personal, educational and communication details. Following details have to be entered by the candidates -
Enter personal details - Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, category, etc.
Enter Educational details - Details of qualifying exam.
Enter communication details - Address, mobile number, email Id.
Select the type of M.Tech program they intend to apply - Full-time/Part-time/Executive.
Select whether applying through GATE scores or Entrance Exam.
If applying through GATE, enter GATE year,stream,marks etc.
If applying through entrance test, select the test subject.
Provide preferences to all the courses offered.
Step 3: Uploading of Documents - Once all the details of the form are filled, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their Photograph and signature as per the specifications provided by the authorities. The images must be in JPEG/JPG format.
Step 4: Payment of Fees - In the last step, candidates will have to pay the application fees of NSIT M.Tech 2020 in online mode through credit/debit card or internet banking. The application fees of NSIT M.Tech 2020 is Rs 1000 (For each application).
Step 5: Print out of Application Form - Candidates must download and take a print out of the completely filled application form after payment of fees. Candidates will be required to produce the print out of the application form during document verification.
The authorities will prepare a merit list of NSIT M.Tech 2020 on the basis of GATE scores and marks secured by the candidates in the entrance test. NSIT M.Tech merit list 2020 will be released on the official website. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of NSIT M.Tech 2020 merit list will be called to participate in the counselling process.
The authorities will conduct different rounds of NSIT M.Tech counselling 2020. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit list will have to report to the allotted centre for the counselling process. Candidates will be called as per their ranks in the merit list. Candidates will also be required to bring all the required documents for document verification.

Other than the above reservation, 5% of the total seats will be reserved (Horizontal Reservation in each category) for physically challenged candidates with minimum disability of 40%.
