TANCET 2019: How is Marks Normalized?
The exam conducting body will follow the marks normalization process in order to ensure an even level for all candidates. To normalise the scores, a formula is taken into consideration. The authorities use normalization process because the mean (m) score and the standard deviation (s) of the raw scores (r) obtained for Part III may vary from one to another discipline. This is because this section will be dependent on the discipline selected by the candidates.
Formula for marks normalization: 40 + (10/s) (r - m) = Normalized Marks
TANCET Cutoff 2019
The authorities will determine the cutoff of TANCET 2019 after considering various factors. A total number of available seats, applicants for the course, previous year cutoff trends etc will be the few factors which be considered while determining the cutoff. TANCET 2019 cutoff will be used to screen the admissions of the candidates into various M.Tech programmes offered by its participating institutes. Candidates who will meet the cutoff will have higher chances of admissions. The admission conducting authorities will release two different cutoff list, one for TANCET qualified candidates and another for GATE 2019 qualified candidates.
TANCET Counselling 2019
For admission through TANCET, all the qualified candidates had to register for TANCA 2019 counselling session. The Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) 2019 is being held separately. Both GATE and TANCET 2019 qualified candidates are eligible for the admission process from TANCA counselling. The merit list for the two categories are released separately based on which candidates are called for counselling. During TANCA 2019 counselling, document verification and allotment of seats will be done on the basis of the merit of candidates secured in TANCET or GATE examination.
