Grid India/POSOCO Recruitment through GATE 2025 - Grid India formerly known as POSOCO will recruit executive trainees in Electrical engineering based on the GATE 2025. The authority has released a detailed notification for POSOCO 2025 recruitment through GATE on the official website posoco.in. Candidates can check the detailed eligibility criteria, selection process, compensation and more on this page. Candidates who qualify the GATE exam can register for Grid India recruitment through GATE 2025. The authority will release the application form a few days after the GATE 2025 result is announced. The authority has announced 37 vacancies for Grid India recruitment through GATE 2025. The final number of vacancies, along with the category-wise break-up and reservation details shall be announced later. The selection process is based on GATE 2025 only. To apply for Grid India recruitment through GATE 2025, candidates have to register using their details of the GATE 2025 exam.

Power System Operation Corporation Limited’ was renamed ‘GRID INDIA' in 2022. Candidates who qualify the GATE Electrical Engineering paper will be eligible to apply for POSOCO recruitment through GATE. Unreserved (UR): Not exceeding 28 years. (Candidates should have been born on or after August 1, 1997)

Relaxation:

  • OBC (NCL) candidates : 3 years

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years

  • PwD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation

  • J&K Domicile / Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots: As per Govt. of India directives

How to fill the application form for the Grid India Recruitment through GATE

  • Candidates have to first choose which post they are applying for

  • They have to provide their GATE 2025 details like GATE Application No., Registration No., year and scores

  • Following this, they have to enter their personal details, PwD details if applicable, working experience with Grid India in case of departmental candidates, mailing details, contact address, qualification details, bank details (for TA), and transparency/ relationship declaration.

  • Candidates have to submit and pay the application fees of Rs 500 online. However, SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-SM/ Departmental candidates were exempted from fee payment.

  • Upon successful payment, candidates will be required to take a printout of the application form.

  • Candidates are advised to remember not to use special characters like ',$,<,>,., etc while filling the application.

  • They have to fill OTP during the Application Process which will be sent to their respective mobile phones.

  • The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of their marks obtained in GATE 2025 (out of 100).

  • Candidates are required to log in to check their status and download the call letter.

  • Candidates who will be shortlisted will have to bring the documents mentioned in their interview call letter.

  • Candidates will have the option of appearing in Hindi for GD/ Interview.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be paid Rs. 50000-160000 during the one-year training period. On successful completion of training, they will be absorbed as Engineers.

Service Agreement: Selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years. The bond amount is Rs. 1,00,000/- for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates and Rs. 50,000/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates

Yes, it will be acceptable. In GATE registration, the name should match your valid photo ID proof in terms of spelling, not the order. Many Indian IDs have surname written first, while the portal generates it as first–middle–last. Since all three parts of your name (Vikash, Rameshbhai, Bhagel) are correct, there won’t be any issue. Just ensure you upload the correct ID proof. During verification, they check spelling, photo, and signature, not the word order.

Yes, you can change your category from General to OBC during the GATE 2026 correction window.

GATE always allows candidates to correct details like category. You will need to pay a small correction fee for this change. Make sure you upload a valid OBC certificate as per the format and date mentioned by GATE.

So, wait for the correction window, log in to your application, and update your category to OBC.
