OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017 – The application form of OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017 is now available online for all eligible candidates. The registration process will be open till November 17, 2017. The candidates will have to submit all of the required information to register themselves for the recruitment process. It should be noted that only GATE 2017 scores will be accepted to prepare the merit list and shortlist candidates for the personal interview. The call letter for the personal interview will be published 21 days before the interview date, which will be announced later. All of the eligibility criteria has to be met by the candidates otherwise his/her application form will be rejected. The final selection of the candidates for recruitment will be based 85% on their GATE scores and 15% on their performance in the personal interview. The candidates are requested to read the OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017 before filling the online application form. Only those candidates who meet the declared criteria will be considered eligible for the recruitment process.
The candidates should be of Indian nationality.
Should hold a valid GATE 2017 score. Previous years’ GATE scores will not be accepted.
The candidates should have passed the qualifying degree examination. The bachelor’s degree in B.Tech should have been awarded to the candidates as per the table mentioned below from recognized Indian Universities/Institutes.
Candidates applying for Unreserved posts should have scored a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying degree examination. Minimum aggregate of 50% should be secured by candidates applying for reserved categories.
The qualification must be from a UGC recognized University/Deemed University or AICTE approved Autonomous Institution/Concerned Statutory Council/Board of Technical Education.
The engineering degree can be 4 years course of B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering.
If the candidates are pursuing or have completed M.Tech in any disciplines other than those mentioned below, then he/she must have atleast completed B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc in one of the mentioned qualifying degree exam and must also possess valid GATE 2017 score.
Integrated ME/M.Tech candidates will also be eligible if they have already qualified B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering and have completed M.E./M.Tech.
The percentage/CGPA obtained in B.E./B.Tech by integrated M.E./M.Tech candidates who are awarded two separate degrees will be considered for eligibility. If a single degree was awarded, then the consolidated marks obtained by the candidates at the end of the integrated programme will be considered.

Age Criteria and Reservation of Posts of OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017

28 years for UR category
For SC/ST category, 5 years of age is relaxed only for the posts reserved for SC/ST.
For OBC NCL reserved seats, the age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
10 years of relaxation in age limit belongs to Persons with Disability (PwD) category having minimum 40% disability.
For regular employees of OMPL, the maximum upper age limit is 45 years subject to meeting all other criteria.

Things to Keep Ready Before Applying for OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017
Various information related to the personal and academic details of the candidates has to be submitted in the application form. Therefore, the candidates should keep some documents ready before filling the application form for OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017.
Email ID and Mobile Number – The candidates should keep their valid email id and mobile number ready before filling the application form.
Photograph – A recent colour -passport size photograph should be kept scanned and ready by the candidates to be uploaded. The photograph should not be ore than three months old and the size of the file should be between 20KB – 40KB.
Signature – The signature should be done with a blue or black pen against a white background and scanned to be uploaded.
GATE 2017 Score Card – Candidates should keep a scanned copy of their GATE 2017 score card in PDF format (File size should be less than 100 KB)
Category Certificate – The reserved category candidates should keep their scanned category certificates ready to be uploaded. The file size should be within 100 KB and in JPG/PDF format only.
Step 1 – Filling of the Application Form
The candidates will have to fill all of the required information in the application form. The following details has to be filled in:

Whether Departmental (OMPL) Employee or Not
Written Test Centre
Click on “Submit” after making sure all of the submitted information is correct.
Step 2 – Uploading of Scanned Documents
Next, the candidates will have to upload their photograph, signature, GATE 2017 score card and category certificate. All of the scanned documents have to be uploaded according to the specifications mentioned above. The candidates will have to note that the application form will not be accepted unless the candidate successfully uploads all of the specified documents. After uploading, the candidates will be able to preview their uploaded documents to check for any error.
Step 3 – Submission of Application Form
After reviewing the filled application form, the candidates can select the declaration and finally submit the form.
Step 4 – Payment of Application Fee
Application Fee – Rs. 750 for General and OBC NCL category. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen category and regular employees of OMPL are exempted from payment of application fees.
Candidates Exempted from Application Fee – SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen category candidates do not have to pay the required application fee. After submission, a unique registration number will be generated . The registered application form has to be printed out using the registration number and date of birth. The candidates will have to keep the registration number safely as can be used to download the Call Letter too.
Candidates who have to Pay Application Fee – The candidates will be able to make their payment online through net banking/credit card/debit card or through E-Challan. To pay the fees through E-Challan, the candidates will have to download the e-challan and visit the nearest SBI branch to pay the fees. The SBI Collect Reference Number (10 digit alphanumeric reference number starting with DU) printed on e-receipt and deposit date has to be submitted in the online portal. The application will be treated incomplete if the candidate fails to submit these details.
Selection Process for OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017
OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017 selection process will consist of two stages – Shortlisting as per GATE 2017 scores and Personal Interview.
The candidates will be shortlisted based on their obtained percentage of marks in GATE 2017 examination. Scores obtained out of 100 in GATE 2017 score card will be taken into consideration to short list the candidates. For further selection process, the candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:5. If more than one candidate has secured the same GATE scores then the candidate who has secured higher marks in the basic qualification will be given preference.
The shortlisted candidates will be able to download their call letter, which will consist of the time and venue of interview, only 21 days prior to the date of Personal Interview. The candidates will also receive the call letter via post.
The next step will be the Personal Interview of the shortlisted candidates.
The final merit list will be prepared by giving 85% weightage to GATE 2017 scores and 15% weightage to Personal Interview.
Document Verification Before Interview
All of the shortlisted candidates will have to verify their documents before appearing for the Personal Interview. The original documents have to be presented and one set of self attested photocopies has to be submitted.

The category certificate (as per the individual’s eligibility) has to be submitted. The certificate must be issued by a competent certificate.
No Objection Certificate (NOC)
A No Objection Certificate has to be submitted in case the candidate is employed in Central/State Government organizations/ Public Sector Enterprises/ Autonomous Bodies owned by the Government
Probation and Emoluments
All selected candidates will be placed on probation as per the rules of the Company. An annual CTC of Rs. 4,00,000 will be offered to those candidates selected through GATE 2017. Basic Pay, HRA, other allowances, Provident Fund, Gratuity and variable pay will be covered in the annual CTC.
Important Points of OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2017
B.Sc. Engineering (4 year course) also can apply along with B.E./B.Tech. candidates having any other degree/combination degree, example Production Engineering. Automobile Engineering. Mechatronics, Construction Engineering. etc. other than those specifically mentioned above are not eligible to apply.
The candidates should possess valid GATE 2017 score card.
The application form has to be submitted only once. The candidature will be rejected in case of multiple applications.
Preference will be given to candidates having in line experience in Oil & Gas Sector/Petrochemical Sector.
Candidates working in Government /Public Sector must have minimum one year experience in the next lower pay scale.
