Details about ISI Admission Test: The Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata offers M.Tech programmes in two disciplines at its Kolkata campus. The admissions to these programmes are through the ISI Admission Test which was an offline exam conducted by the ISI for admissions to the M.Tech programmes at the institute. ISI Admission Test Result 2017
The result has been announced for ISI admission test 2017 in the form of merit list. Candidates will have to download the announced lists and check their ISI Admission Test Result 2017. Candidates must check for their Registration No and Name. GATE qualified candidates may qualify for direct admissions if they have scored marks above the given cutoffs.
ISI Admission Test Counselling 2017
- Candidates who have qualified in the ISI Admission Test 2017 will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance and will be called for interview.
- Such candidates will have to download their call letters and attend the counselling in person as per the scheduled dates and time.
- They must furnish their original documents according to the specified list of documents along with a set of copies.
- After verification and qualifying in the interview, candidates must complete their admission formalities to confirm their admissions
ISI Admission Test Admit Card 2017
The admit card for ISI Admission Test 2017 was available from April 12, 2017. Candidates had to log in to access and download the ISI Admission Test Admit Card 2017. They must check all the details printed on the admit card and bring any discrepancy to the notice of the authorities. The admit card must be carried to the exam hall while appearing for the exam on May 14, 2017. Candidates without any admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

ISI Admission Test Eligibility Criteria 2017
The eligibility criteria is one of the most important parameters that every candidate must look at while applying for any entrance test. Applicants must meet the given eligibility conditions to be able to avail admissions at ISI for the various M.Tech courses offered by the institute. Some important Criteria are:

M.Tech in Quality, Reliability and Operations Research (QROR)
Candidates must have passed a Bachelorâs degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent if they have applied for the engineering stream.
Candidates applying for the Statistics stream must have passed a Masterâs degree in Statistics or Mathematics with Probability and Statistics as majors
All applicants must have studied Physics and Chemistry at the Higher Secondary level in school.
They must have studied Mathematics in their graduation.

ISI Admission Test Application Form 2017
The application form of ISI Admission Test 2017 was available in online mode. ISI Admission Test application form 2017 was available from February 8, 2017. The last date to fill the application form was March 10.
How to fill the ISI Admission Test Application Form 2017?
Candidates must first complete the registration formalities by entering their Name, Email, Mobile No details to create a login ID.
They must log in thereafter and enter their personal details along with the details of their academic qualifications.
Next they must upload their scanned signature and photograph as per specifications (The specifications are available in the table below).
They can pay the fees online through Net banking/Debit or Credit Cards. Candidates can also pay offline at the nearest SBI branch through the challan that must be downloaded while filling the application form. The payment must be made 2 days after downloading it.
After submission, candidates will receive an SMS notifying them of their registration and application
Candidates paying online must note the transaction ID after successful payment.
Candidates paying offline must ensure that the challan is duly stamped with the journal No and code of the branch. They must safe keep the challan copy.

The admission test for the M.Tech admissions at ISI Kolkata was held across 39 centres in the country. Last year there were 37 test centres. Candidates had to choose the Test centres while filling the online application form for the ISI Admission Test 2017. Candidates had to choose the exam centres from the given list. ISI Admission Test Pattern 2017
Candidates appearing for the ISI Admission Test 2017 must have a knowhow of the exam pattern for the same. The test consisted of two parts out of which the first part or section is mandatory for all applicants. The second part of the test was based on the subject/ discipline chosen.
Details about the ISI Admission Test Pattern 2017
Part 1: This was a mandatory section and consisted of multiple choice/ Descriptive questions in Mathematics at the undergraduate levels. This had 30 questions for 120 marks and a duration of 2 hours.
Part 2: This section was discipline wise consisting of multiple-choice or descriptive questions.
Computer Science Aspirants had five sections in the part 2 paper with questions asked from Computer Science, Engineering and Technology at the B Tech level. Questions were asked from Engineering Mechanics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Thermodynamics, and Engineering Drawing.
Part 1 had 30 questions which have to be answered compulsorily
Part 2 had 70 questions from 5 sections. Candidates have to mandatorily answer one section.
Part I (for Statistics/Mathematics Stream): There were 5 questions from Statistics & Probability where candidates had to answer 6 questions taking a minimum of 2 from each
Part II (for Engineering Stream): There were 4 questions from Mathematics and 6 from Engineering & Technology where candidates had to answer 2 minimum from each
The duration of the exam was 4 hours with each part given 2 hours each.
