ISI Admission Test 2018 - The authorities of ISI have announced the result for third and final round of seat allotment for admission to M.Tech programmes on July 11. Candidates can check the result from the link given in the article below. The result for second round of seat allocation was announced on July 9. Candidates can check the list for all three M.Tech programmes from the article given below. Earlier, the list of selected candidates for M.Tech Computer Science & CrS interview was also released. Candidates had to appear for the interview as per the schedule. The authorities had also given some important instructions to such candidates. It was necessary that candidates follow these instructions while going for the interview. The final answer key of ISI admission test 2018 was released on May 21 in online mode.
The institute has opened the gateway to challenge the online answer key on May 18. Candidates who were not satisfied with the answers provided in the answer key could challenge it till May 22. The answer key and recorded respones of candidates in the entrance exam were released on May 17 in online mode. The institute conducted ISI Admission Test 2018 on May 13 in offline mode for M.Tech admissions in CS, QROR and CrS programmes. The admit card of ISI admission test 2018 was available from April 12. Through ISI Admission Test, qualified candidates will be offered admission into 35 M.Tech seats in CS, 25 seats in QROP and 20 seats in CrS. ISI Counselling & Seat Allotment 2018
The counselling of ISI 2018 is being held in offline mode in the month of July 2018. Qualified candidates are being shortlisted and called for counselling based on their performance in ISI admission test 2018. In order to participate in the counselling of ISI admission 2018, the candidates have to download their call letter and participate in the counselling in person as per the date and time specified on the call letter.
At the counselling venue the candidates have to produce their original educational certificates/documents along with a set of photocopies of the same for verification.
After qualifying the interview and document verification, candidates must complete the other admission formalities to confirm their seat.

ISI Seat Allocation 2018
The result of ISI admission test 2018 will be declared tentatively in June 2018. The result of ISI 2018 will be declared in the form of merit list. In order to check ISI 2018 result, candidates had to download the published merit list. In the merit list of ISI Admission Test 2018, candidates have to check their registration number and name. GATE qualified candidates will be eligible for direct admission if they have secured marks above the given cutoff
The cutoff of ISI admission test 2018 may be released by ISI Kolkata along with the result. ISI Admission Test 2018 cutoff is the closing score below which admission to the candidates will not be offered. This means that candidates have to either secure scores above or equal to the cutoff. ISI Admission 2018 cutoff will be pre-determined by ISI Kolkata to screen the admissions. ISI Admission cutoff 2018 is determined by various factors like total number of applicants, total number of seats, difficulty levels of the test and cutoff of the previous years. The cutoff of ISI Admission Test 2018 will be different for different M.Tech courses. For GATE qualified candidates, the cutoff will be announced separately.
ISI Answer Key 2018
The answer key of ISI 2018 was released on May 14. Candidates could download the answer key for M.Tech CS, CrS and QROR from the links below. Candidates could also challenge the answer key of ISI M.Tech admission test 2018 from May 17 to 22, in case they find any discrepancy in the answer key of ISI admission.
How to challenge the answer key of ISI 2018?
- Click on the link given above
- Pay the answer key challenge amount. The prescribed amount for challenge of each recorded response/ answer key is Rs 100 plus 2.5% bank/ credit card related charges which will be required to be paid online only.
- Check the respones as marked in the exam with the ones' provided in the answer key.
- Challenge the answer key within the time specified, if not satisfied.
Important Instructions to be followed while challenging the answer key
- If the challenge will be found valid, the challenge fee paid will be refunded to the candidates after deduction of the applicable bank/ credit card related charge.
- In case, an error occurs in the answer key released, a policy decision will be notified on the website which will be applicable to all candidates who appeared for the test and the challenge fee will be refunded.
- In case, if the recorded responses is not the same as marked by the candidate on OMR sheet, corrective action will be taken and candidate's score will be updated accordingly.
- It is to be noted that challenges submitted by post or in person will not be accepted.
- If a candidate does not submit the challenge regarding recorded responses by the prescribed date and time, it will be presumed that his/ her recorded responses is the same as that marked on OMR sheet.
- The decision of the institute on the challenges will be final and no further communication will be entertained in this regard.

The eligibility criteria of ISI admission 2018 includes eligibility conditions related to qualifying exam, subject combination in qualifying exam, marks scored in qualifying exam, age, number of attempts, etc. Only those candidates were considered eligible to take ISI Admission Test 2018 for M.Tech admission who had met the eligibility criteria. M.Tech Computer Science (CS)
Candidates who have passed a Master's degree in any one of the following:
M.Tech in Quality, Reliability and Operations Research (QROR)
Aspirants should have passed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent if they have applied for the engineering stream.
Candidates applying for the Statistics stream must have passed a Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics with Probability and Statistics as majors
All applicants must have studied Physics and Chemistry at the Higher Secondary level in school.
They must have studied Mathematics in their graduation.
M.Tech in Cryptology and Security (CrS)
The eligibility criteria for this programme is same as that of M.Tech Computer Science (CS).
ISI 2018 Admit Card was available in online mode from April 12 onwards. Candidates could get access to and download their admit card of ISI Admission Test 2018. Candidates also got a notification about the availability of the admit card. Registered candidates had to download ISI admit card online by logging in. They must download the admit card and check if all the information reflected on it was correct or not. Then they had to take printout of the admit card. It must be noted that candidates must carry the ISI 2018 admit card to the exam centre on the day of the exam. Without any admit card, no candidate was allowed to enter the exam hall or take the test.
Note: It was advised to take 2 or more than 2 printouts of the admit card.
ISI Exam Centres 2018
The exam centres of ISI 2018 were the venues where the entrance test for M.Tech admissions was held. While filling the application form, candidates were needed to enter/ select the exam centres as per their choice where they wanted to take the test. Last year, ISI Admission Test was held across exam centres in 37 cities while in 2018, ISI Admission Test was held at exam centres in 38 cities.

It’s quite important for aspiring candidates to know the exam pattern of ISI Admission Test 2018. ISI Admission Test 2018 consisted of two parts - Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 was mandatory for all candidates. Part 2 of the test was based on the subject/ discipline selected.
ISI 2018 Exam Pattern (Part 1)
This section was mandatory and had multiple choice/ Descriptive questions in Mathematics of UG level. Part 1 carried 30 questions against a total of 120 marks. Candidates were given 2 hours to complete this part.
For Statistics/ Mathematics Stream of Part 1, there may be 5 questions from Statistics & Probability. Candidates had to answer 6 questions, taking a minimum of 2 from each.
ISI 2018 Exam Pattern (Part 2)
This section carried multiple-choice or descriptive questions as per the different disciplines chosen. Candidates had to complete the part 2 in 2 hours.
Part 2 carried a total of 70 questions from 5 sections. It was mandatory for candidates to answer 1 section.
For Computer Science candidates, there were 5 sections in the part 2 paper with questions from Computer Science, Engineering Mechanics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Thermodynamics, Engineering Drawing, Engineering and Technology of B Tech level. .
For Engineering Stream, there were 4 questions from Mathematics and 6 from Engineering & Technology. Candidates had to answer minimum 2 questions from each.

The application form of ISI Admission 2018 was available from February 7 to March 20 in online mode. However, the fee payment window was open only from March 9 to March 22, 2018.
How to fill ISI 2018 Application Form?
First of all, candidates had to register using their Name, Email ID, Mobile Number to create a login ID.
Now, they had to log in and enter personal and academic details.
Now, they had to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the table below.
Now, application fee payment had to be done.
Application Payment mode - Online - Through Net banking/Debit/Credit Card. For online payment, candidates had to note their transaction ID after payment.
Application Payment mode - Offline - Through cash using e-challan at the nearest SBI branch. For payment through e-challan, the candidates had to download the challan from the online application form and could make the payment 2 days after downloading it. Candidates paying the fee through offline mode, had to ensure that the challan was duly stamped with the journal Number and code of the branch. The challan copy must be kept safe.
