RTU CAM 2018 - Rajasthan Technical University Centralized Admission for M.Tech/ M.Arch (RTU CAM) 2018 will offer admission to all eligible candidates into the 48 affiliated engineering colleges and one constituent college namely University College of Engineering (UCE) in Rajasthan. To be eligible for RTU CAM 2018, candidates must have valid GATE scores. The candidates who will qualify GATE 2018 with the required marks will be given priority during the admission process of RTU CAM. If seats remain vacant, Non-GATE candidates will be provided admission to courses offered by the participating institutes. RTU will be conducting the centralized admission procedure for the engineering seats offered by the Government aided and Private unaided Technical Institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Institutes). To participate, candidates will have to register, fill application form, upload documents and fill and lock their choices. Rajasthan Technical University will begin the registration process for RTU CAM 2018 tentatively in second week of June in online mode. Based on the merit and preference of the candidates, seat will be allotted to them. RTU CAM Eligibility Criteria 2018
To get admission in the participating institutes of RTU, it is a must for the candidates to meet the eligibility criteria of RTU CAM 2018. Admission for the session 2018 will be based on valid GATE 2018 scores. However, candidates without GATE Score but have B.Tech/ B.E degree or equivalent from the recognized board can also apply. Mentioned below is the detailed RTU CAM 2018 eligibility criteria for the candidate’s reference:
Qualifying Examination: Candidates should passed B.E./B.Tech examination of RTU or any other recognized University. Not only this, Candidates who have obtained qualifications through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by MHRD/UGC/AIU/UPSC/AICTE will also be eligible for admission.
Qualifying Marks: Applicants belonging to general category must have minimum 55% (6.25 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) marks in the qualifying examination. For reserved category, there is the relaxation of 5%. That is, for applicants belonging from SC/ST category must have minimum of 50% marks.
Applicants having M.Sc., MCA degree and seeking admission to certain M.Tech. programmes must have GATE score of the relevant branch. However, the equivalency of any degree for admission to any programme will be decided by University.
For M.Arch: Candidates seeking admission to M.Arch/ M.Plan programmes must pass B.Arch or equivalent with minimum of 50% (5.75 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) and 45% (5.25 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) in case of SC/ST, as per requirement of COA.
Note: First preference will be given to GATE 2018 qualified candidates. If seats are vacant it will offered to non-GATE candidates based on their qualifying examination.

RTU CAM Application Form 2018
The registration of RTU CAM 2018 will begin from June 15. To be eligible for the admission procedure, the candidates will have to fill and submit the application form of RTU CAM 2018 in online mode. Filling of RTU CAM 2018 application form includes three major steps, that are:

How to Fill RTU CAM 2018 Application Form
Step 1- Online registration and fee payment: To register, candidates will have to enter their full name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth and mobile number. After submitting the details, candidates need to pay the application fee through online method through billdesk gateway facility with addition of i.e., credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ other online payment gateway charges. In the payment mode through billdesk, a transaction ID will be generated. Candidates need to keep the receipt/ transaction ID details safely for future use. In order to activate the online application form for entering the required details, candidate must enter his or her transaction ID in the appropriate column of the application form. The online application will not accept entries without candidates transaction ID.

Step 2- Filling of RTU CAM application form 2018: To fill the application form of RTU CAM 2018, candidates first need to enter transaction ID to activate the application procedure. After this, candidates need to enter personal and educational details, GATE 2018 scores and address for correspondence. It is important for candidates to note that changes in the application form will be allowed before the final submission. The web page will not accept any changes after final submission of the application form. Candidates will be required to take print out of the application form after final submission as generated by the web portal and attach the self attested photocopies of all the relevant documents. The application form with original relevant documents will be required at reporting institutes. A reporting institute is where admission has been given to the candidate. The hard copy of application form is not required to be submitted to the CAM office or RTU Kota.
Step 3- Uploading the documents, online choice filling and locking: After filling the application form of RTU CAM 2018, candidates need to upload the scanned documents. The uploading of scanned photograph, signature and GATE 2018 scorecard, mark sheet of B.E./ B.Tech or mark sheet of last qualifying exam in the prescribed format and dimension has to be done. Following it, candidates will be required to login for choice filling. The available seat information related to institutes, department and programme will be displayed in seat matrix. Candidates will be free to fill in as many choice of colleges and courses in the order of their preference. Candidates will be permitted to change or re-order their choices, delete earlier choices and add new choices till they lock their final choices. Candidates must note that they should lock their choices before the last date, otherwise their last choice will be taken as final and will be taken into consideration for seat allotment purpose.

Note: Candidates need to make sure that they enter all the correct information. The changes (if required) will be allowed in online application form before final submission i.e. before submitting the application form make sure all the information given in the application form is correct.
Step 4- Seat allotment: In this step, the choices submitted by candidates will be processed and they will be allotted seats on the basis of their merit, choice filling and seat availability. There will be four rounds of seat allotment and an additional fifth round, which will be conducted as special round, if required.
First round: In this round, seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of their choices and merit. Candidates who will be allotted seats will have to report physically to the allotted institute for document verification and fee submission. If not satisfied with the allotted seat, candidate can wish to apply for upward movement in the next round.
Second round: This round is for upward movement. Candidates will have to submit their online consent for upward movement against the allotted seat in first round. After consent, the earlier allotted seat will be available for subsequent candidates only if candidate has got higher preference, otherwise seat will remain same. If candidate has not been given seat in this round, then he or she will be considered for next round where he or she can modify and relock their choices without registration fee payment.
Third round: Registration will be open for new candidates in this round. Candidates can fill their choices and lock them based on the seats available. Candidates who have already paid the registration fee need not to pay the fee again. For those who have reported in the earlier two rounds will not be allowed to participate in this round.
Fourth round: This round is again for upward movement. Candidates need to submit their online consent for upward movement against the allotted seat in round 3.
Fifth round: This will be a special round conducted only if seats remain vacant.

Step 5- Physical reporting & admission: Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to physically report at the allotted institute. While reporting, candidates need to carry the seat allotment letter, application form with 2 color photographs, 1 pasted on it and 1 extra, two sets of self attested photocopies along with original documents.

RTU CAM Merit List 2018
The admission authority will release merit list of RTU CAM 2018 tentatively in July for all the qualified candidates. RTU CAM 2018 merit list will be prepare based on the candidate’s qualifying marks and eligibility. A separate RTU CAM merit list 2018 for GATE and non-GATE applicants will be published by the admission authority.
If more than one candidates has the same GATE score, in such case preference will be given to the GATE qualified candidates.
If tie still exist, then candidate who will be older in age will be given preference. Same method will be used to determine inter se merit of non-GATE applicants.
