    NTPC will announce the number of vacancies in the official notification of GATE 2027 NTPC recruitment. As per the short notification released for the NTPC recruitment through GATE 2027, vacancies will be for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Information Technology and Computer Science Engineers.

    Eligibility Criteria for NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2027

    Candidates aspiring to work for NTPC must meet the eligibility criteria for NTPC recruitment through GATE 2027 as mentioned below in the given table. This includes the age limit, nationality, academic qualification, and marks required that are parameters for selection.

    • Upper age limit is 27 years for candidates belonging to the general/EWS category.

    • Upper age limit is relaxed by five years for candidates belonging to schedule caste and Schedule tribe category

    • The age limit is relaxed by ten years for PwD- General

    • For PwD OBC age limit is relaxed by 13 years

    Academic Qualification

    • Candidates must have passed the full-time degree in engineering in the below-given disciplines. They must have scored at least 65% marks in B.E/B.Tech/AMIE. The average of all the years is taken irrespective of any weightage that is given to any university or institute.

    • Final year students are also eligible to apply provided they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of joining. Such students must obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.

    • Candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 65% marks, with an average of all four years

    • Candidates belonging to ST, SC and PwD must score at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam

    Medical Requirement

    • Candidates must meet the requisite health criteria that are laid down by NTPC.

    • Candidates must be of sound health and they will have to undergo a medical examination which will be conducted by the medical board of NTPC. The decision of the board will be final.

    How to Apply for NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2027

    • Open the NTPC website and visit the "Careers" section.

    • Click on “Apply Now”.

    • The application form window will open.

    • Enter the GATE 2027 registration number in the application form.

    • Upload a photograph and signature in .jpeg/ .jpg format (max. file size can be 1 MB),
