JEE Main 2026 Exam Date: The National Testing Authority will soon announce the JEE Main exam date 2026 in October 2025. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held in January 2026, and the session 2 exam will be conducted in April 2026. Candidates can check the JEE Mains 2026 exam date on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The exam dates will consist of all dates, including registration date, admit card date, result date and more. The authority has activated the demo link of JEE Main 2026 registration on October 7, 2025. The Joint Entrance Examination Main will be conducted in two sessions. JEE Main 2026 is expected to be held in two sessions. NTA holds the entrance exam in two sessions to provide the following benefits: 

  • Candidates will get two opportunities to improve their scores in the exam if they are not able to give their best in the first attempt. 
  • In the first attempt, the candidates will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which can be improve while attempting the test for the second time. This will reduce the chances of dropping a year and the candidates would not have to waste an entire year.
  • If anyone misses the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as the board examination or health issues), then candidate can appear for the second session. 
  • A candidate is not required to take both the sessions, however, if someone appears in both the sessions, then their best NTA scores will be considered for merit list preparation.

The National Testing Agency will start the JEE Mains registration 2026 for session 1 in October 2025. JEE Mains 2026 Application Form Correction Date

National Testing Agency will announce the JEE Mains form correction date along with the official notification. Candidates will be able to make changes to details such as the name/parents' name, category, sub-category, city preferences, exam medium, qualifications, passing year of Class 10 and 12, and selected course.

JEE Mains City Intimation Slip Date 2026

The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main Advanced city intimation slip in January 2026 for session 1, while the city slip for session 2 will be released in April 2026. The authority will activate the JEE Main 2026 April session city intimation slip link on the official website. Applicants should download the city intimation slip of JEE 2026 to know which exam city is allotted to them. The detailed JEE exam centre information will be released through the JEE Mains hall ticket. To download the JEE Main 2026 city allotment, the application number and password are required.

JEE Mains 2026 Admit Card Release Date

NTA will activate the JEE Mains session 1 admit card link in January. The authority will release the session 2 JEE Main 2026 admit card in the Last week of March 2026. The JEE Main 2026 admit card download link will be updated on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic admit card. Candidates will be able to download the admit card by entering their application number and date of birth. JEE Main hall ticket will comprise details such as the candidate's personal details, exam date, time, and exam centre. It is important to carry the JEE admit card 2026 on the exam day.

JEE Mains 2026 Exam Date for Sessions 1 and 2

NTA will declare the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam date on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam will be held in January, while the session 2 JEE Main dates will fall in April 2026. The authority will hold the JEE Mains 2026 exam in shifts over multiple days. JEE Mains 2026 Answer Key Date

Is income certificate required during registration of jee mains of current year??

Hello,

Generally an income certificate isn't required for the JEE Main registration, but if you want to claim the EWS quota, then you need this. You must provide the certificate, issued by a government authority, as proof of your family's income being below the specified limit for the reservation category you wish to apply under.

Yes, as JEE does accepts improvement examination scores, so you must go for it but most of the state boards have already conducted or are conducting their 2025 improvement exams. If you have already given your improvement that's fine. If you have not given improvement this year then you can take your improvement next year.
