IMU CET Counselling 2025
Only IMU CET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling of IMU CET 2025. The link for IMU CET counselling is updated on the official website. All candidates must register for the counselling within the duration notified by the authorities. During the counselling, the candidates will be allotted to the campuses of Indian Maritime University. The counselling of IMU CET 2025 will be held only for the campuses. For admissions into affiliated colleges of IMU CET, the candidates will have to apply separately.
Procedure of IMU CET 2025 Counselling
Candidates can check the IMU CET counselling procedure below.
Step 1 - Registration- Firstly, the candidates will have to go to the official website of IMU CET 2025 and click on the counselling registration link. IMU CET Counselling fees of Rs. 10,000 have to be paid by the candidates through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card).
Step 2 - Choice Filling- After registration, the candidates will have to choose their preferred programme and campus in online mode. The selection has to be done in the order of preference. The candidates are advised to select as many options as possible to have a higher chance of allotment.
Step 3 - Seat Allotment- Candidates will be allotted to the participating campuses on the basis of merit, preferences and availability of seats. The social category of the candidates will also be considered. To confirm the allotment, the candidates will have to pay Rs. 25000 (non-refundable).
Step 4 - Document Verification- Finally, the candidates will have to download their provisional allotment letter and report to their respective allotted institutes. All of the required documents will be verified by the authorities to confirm the admission.

The authority is conducting the IMU CET spot counselling registration in online mode. Students who have registered online to participate in the IMU CET spot counselling 2025. must visit the institute on July 29, 2025. Moreover, the students have to carry the demand draft in favour of Indian Marine University. Candidates should carry important documents along with them.

Make sure that your primary study material would be NCERT for mathematics, physics & chemistry and go for RS Aggarwal books for reasoning and aptitude.

If you have scored 505 marks in your Class 12, your eligibility for IMU CET will depend not on the total marks but on your subject wise percentage. For undergraduate courses like BTech Marine Engineering or BSc Nautical Science, IMU requires that you have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and at least 60 percent aggregate in PCM along with 50 percent marks in English either in Class 10 or 12. So even if your overall score is 505, what matters is how much you have scored in PCM and in English. If your PCM aggregate is 60 percent or above and you satisfy the English requirement, then you are eligible for IMU CET. If your PCM percentage is below 60, then you would not be considered eligible for technical programs though some non technical maritime courses may have different criteria.
