IISc BS Eligibility Criteria 2018

 

The eligibility criteria of IISc BS 2018 include eligibility requirements related to the qualifying examination (12th/II PUC) and eligibility criteria related to selection based on channels like JEE Main, JEE Advanced and KVPY. It must be noted that candidates have to meet both the eligibility criteria in order to be considered for Bachelor of Science (Research). IISc BS 2018 Common Eligibility Criteria for all candidates (Qualifying Examination)

  • Candidates passed II PUC/12th class in 2017 and appearing in 2018 are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in the qualifying exam.

  • Candidates studied Biology, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc., along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible.

  • With the subject combination mentioned above, candidates need to have secured first class or 60% or equivalent grade are eligible.

  • SC/ST candidates are given relaxation in pass percentage. They only need to pass II PUC/12th class in order to be considered eligible for admission.

IISc BS Application Form 2018

 

The application form of IISc BS 2018 will be available in online mode tentatively from the first week of February and will continue till the last week of April. All aspiring candidates have to fill the application form based on the different respective channels – JEE Main, JEE Advanced and KVPY. IISc BS admission 2018 application procedure include registration, entering personal details, uploading scanned images and documents, entering educational qualification and fee payment.

How to fill IISc BS Application Form 2018?

 

Candidates need to go through and complete the following stages to submit the application form of IISc BS 2018.

 

Stage 1 – Registration

Stage 2 – Log In and Enter Personal Details

Stage 3 – Uploading Documents and Images

Stage 4 – Enter Educational Qualification Details

Stage 5 – Enter Qualifying Exam Details

Stage 1 – Registration for IISc BS 2018 Application Form

 

Candidates will find the registration process on TAB 1. Candidates need to register by entering the following details,

  • Go to the “New User registration/Log in” link and click on it (Link will be updated later)

  • Enter Name of the candidate (As appearing in 10th standard certificate)

  • Nationality

  • Password (You can choose password as per your choice)

  • Date of Birth

  • Category (Candidates need to upload the scanned copy of their caste certificate wherever applicable).

  • Email ID

  • Choose security question and answer the security question. (You must remember the security question/answer always).

  • Submit the registration form

  • You will get an email for verification. Click on the link and verify your email ID.

 

Stage 2 – Log In and Enter Personal Details

 

Now log in and enter the personal details as mentioned below,

  • Details related to 10th and 12th standard

  • Registration number/score of JEE Main/KVPY/JEE Advanced

  •  Gender

  • State of domicile

  • Mother Tongue

  • Category

  • OBC - Sub-Classification

  • Sub category

  • Contact Details

Stage 3 – Uploading Documents and Images in IISc BS Application Form 2018

  • Digital/scanned copy of recent passport size colour photograph

  • Digital/scanned copy of signature of the candidate

  • Digital/scanned copy of parent’s signature

  • Category certificate (if applicable).

  • Click on “Save and Proceed”

Note: The images and documents must be in JPEG, GIF, TIFF or PNG formats in less than 1 MB.

 

Stage 4 – Enter Educational Qualification Details

  • Go to Tab 2 and click on “Qualification” link

  • Choose qualification from the drop down menu

  • Select SSLC/10th Standard and enter details related to year of passing, name of school, place, board, subjects studied, aggregate percentage of marks and overall letter grades (if applicable).

  • Select II PUC/12th Standard and enter details related to year of passing, name of school, place, board, subjects studied, aggregate percentage of marks and overall letter grades (if applicable).

  • Click on “Save and Proceed”

 

Step 5- Details of the qualifying test

 

Go to Tab 3 – National Entrance Test and enter details related to your respective channel you are applying in – JEE Main/KVPY/JEE Advanced.

Stage 7 – Application Submission

 

The last stage for IISc BS application form 2018 is application submission. Before final submission, candidates must click on “Preview your application form” button and edit/change/update any details that you find is not entered correct. Preview again and ensure all details and correct.

 

Click on “Confirm and Submit” button.

 

Note: On submission of the application form, the candidates will get a PDF file of the submitted application. Candidates must download it and take printouts of it. Keep the printouts safe with you.

 

IISc BS Counselling 2018

 

The counselling for IISc BS 2018 will take place based on the merit list of JEE Main, JEE Advanced and KVPY. Merit lists will be prepared separately for candidates applying under different channels – JEE Advanced/KVPY/JEE Main. Seat allotment will happen based on the merit of the candidates, category-based merit list and the seats available. Candidates qualified in all 3 national exams – JEE Main/JEE Advanced/KVPY will be featured in all merit lists.

 

Document verification will be done before admission.
