Odisha Diploma 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Courses

Eligibility Criteria

Diploma in Engineering and Technology

Qualifying Exam- Candidates must have passed HSC exam conducted by BSE Odisha or any other equivalent Class 10th exam with at least 35% marks in aggregate and 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with English, Math & Science subjects.


Age Limit- Candidates must be of 14 years on 1st July 2020 and there is no upper age limit.

Diploma in Mining & Drilling Engineering

Qualifying Exam- Candidates must have passed HSC exam conducted by BSE Odisha or any other equivalent Class 10th exam with at least 35% marks in aggregate and 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with English, Math & Science subjects.


Age Limit- Candidates must be of 16 years on 1st July 2020 and there is no upper age limit.

Diploma courses under Part-Time Programme

Qualifying exam- Candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent Class X exam scoring at least 35% aggregate marks with English, Maths and Science as subjects. In addition, candidates must also score 30% marks in each subject individually. Candidates also need to have completed two-year ITI after 10th.

Must have passed Class X exam scoring at least 35% in aggregate marks with English, Maths and Science as subjects. Candidates also must score 30% marks in each subject individually. Finally, Candidates must have two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational and /Government, Autonomous Organizations in a relevant field in which admission is sought.

Qualifying exam- Candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination in Science/ Arts/ Commerce recognized by CHSE securing 30% marks in each subject of the qualifying examination.


Age Limit- The lower age limit is 16 years as on July 1, 2020. There is no upper age limit.

Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HM&CT)

Qualifying exam- Candidates must have passed +2 Examination from CHSE, Odisha or its Equivalent examination with Science/ Arts/Commerce with at least 35% marks in aggregate and 30% marks in each subject of the qualifying examination.


Age Limit- The lower age limit is 16 years as on July 1, 2020. There is no upper age limit.

Pharmacy

Qualifying exam- Candidates must have passed +2 Science Examination from CHSE,Odisha or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as approved by PCI with 30% marks in each subject of the qualifying examination.

Beauty Culture

Qualifying exam- Candidates must have passed HSC examination conducted by BSE,Odisha/ 10th standard examination declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate with 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with English, Math & Science subjects.


Age Limit- The lower age limit is 14 years as on July 1, 2020. There is no upper age limit.

Domicile Requirements for Odisha Diploma Admission 2020

The candidates will fall under three categories-

1. S-Category- Candidates who belong to Odisha fall under this category.

2. Z-Category- Candidates who are from outside Odisha or does not belong Odisha fall under this category. 15% seats are reserved for such candidates.

3. L-Category- Odia candidates living in outlying Odia speaking areas fall under this category. 0.5% of the total seats are reserved for such candidates.

Odisha Diploma Merit List 2020

The authorities will prepare a merit list of Odisha Diploma admission 2020 for all the candidates on the basis of marks secured by them in the qualifying exam. Odisha Diploma 2020 merit list will include a general list and separate category-wise merit list. There will be a separate merit list on the basis of domicile and category of candidates. On the basis of Odisha Diploma merit list, candidates will be invited to participate in the counselling process.

Tie-Breaking Guidelines of Odisha Diploma 2020 Merit List

In case of same marks of two or more candidates in the qualifying marks, following rule is followed to determine the inter se merit.

For Diploma in Engg./ Technology, Non-Engg. (Beauty Culture only) and Part-Time-

  • Candidates with higher percentage of marks in Mathematics will be given higher rank.

  • If a tie still persists, Candidates with higher percentage of marks in Science will be given higher rank.

  • If a tie still persists, Candidates with higher percentage of marks in English will be given higher rank.

  • If a tie still persists, Candidates older in age will be given higher rank.

For Diploma in Non-Engineering (Except Beauty Culture)-

  • Candidates with higher percentage of marks in English will be given higher rank.

  • If a tie still persists, Candidates older in age will be given higher rank.

Odisha Diploma Counselling 2020

The authorities will conduct the counselling of Odisha Diploma admission 2020 tentatively in the first to second week of July. Odisha Diploma 2020 counselling will be a web-based process and will be conducted in two rounds. Candidates whose names will be included in the merit list of Odisha Diploma admission 2020 will be called for the counselling process. The process will include choice locking by the candidates where they will have to choose their choice of institutes and courses. In addition to this, document verification will also be conducted for candidates who have not validated their documents online will also be conducted. The final seat allotment will be on the basis of merit list, availability of seats and choices locked by the candidates.

Original documents to be produced when reporting at the Nodal Centre For Counselling (NCC):

  • Mark sheet and pass certificate of High School Certificate (HSC) /10 standard examination.

  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST)

  • Sports Certificate

  • NCC certificate (A, B or C) from the appropriate authority (in case of candidates claiming reservation under NCC) Green Card of parent issued by concerned CDMO (in case of candidates claiming seats under Green Card category).

  • Certificate in Form-II from the competent authority for reservation under Ex-Servicemen Quota.

Z-Domicile candidates have to produce the following certificates:

a) Residential Certificate

b) Mark sheet of HSC examination /10 standard examination of the institute located in their State, declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha.

L-domicile candidates have to produce the following certificates:

a) Residential Certificate from the Revenue Officer not below the Rank of Tahasildar that he/she belongs to outlying Oriya speaking tracts in Form-III (Part-I).

b) Mark sheet of M.E. or H.S.C examination in support of having Oriya as a subject at M.E. or H.SC examination in Form-III (Part-II).

  • Employers’ certificate in Form-IV as applicable.

  • Permanent Residence Certificate (in case of reservation category / Lateral Admission) in Form-V as applicable.

  • ITI Pass/ +2 Science (PCM) / +2 Vocational pass certificate & mark sheet issued by SCTE&VT, Odisha/CHSE/ 12 standard examination declared equivalent by CHSE, Odisha respectively.

  • Annual Income certificate

  • Medical fitness certificate

  • Sponsorship/ Working experience for candidates who intend to take admission in Part-Time courses.
