Candidates who seek admission through JoSAA counselling must be familiar with the eligibility criteria for JoSAA 2026, as it differs for each type of institute and some courses too. By knowing the JoSAA eligibility criteria 2026 beforehand, candidates will be able to know the institutes they can opt for admission. Ineligible candidates will not be allotted any seats.

The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2026 must be fulfilled by the candidates.
Must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination with at least five subjects. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects along with one language and another subject. The authorities will begin the JoSAA 2026 registration and choice filling tentatively in June 2026. Qualified candidates of IIT JEE Main and JEE Advanced are eligible to register and fill out their choices for colleges and courses. The list of options will be displayed depending on the eligibility of the candidates. Candidates will be able to log in using their JEE Mains 2026 registration number and JEE Main/Advanced password.
