JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2018 - Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for determining JoSAA 2018 eligibility criteria. All of the qualifications and conditions that the candidates need to fulfil for allocation of seats will be present in the eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2018. It is important for all candidates to carefully check the eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2018 before registrations. Ineligible candidates will not be able to register themselves for the process of JoSAA 2018. The candidates will have to note that the eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced will be used for admission into IITs and JEE Main criteria will be used for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. However, just the fulfillment of eligibility does not guarantee admissions into the institutes. JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2018
All of the candidates will be required to meet the eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2018 to participate in the counselling and seat allocation process. If any candidate does not meet the required JoSAA 2018 eligibility criteria, then he/she will be disqualified. JoSAA eligibility criteria 2018 are different for each category and admissions will be done according to the fulfillment of the criteria.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2018
Candidates should have successfully qualified JEE Advanced 2018 examination.
The candidates should have scored at least an aggregate of 75% marks in their 12th standard qualifying examination. SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates should have secured aggregate marks of 65%.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2018 (Preparatory Courses at IITs)
The candidates should have secured the required cutoff marks in JEE Advanced 2018.
Admissions to preparatory courses will be open only for the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PwD. The candidates will have to score aggregate marks of 65% in 12th standard qualifying examination.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2018 Paper I (B.Tech)
Candidates should have secured above the cutoff rank in JEE Main 2018 Paper I.
The candidates should have qualified 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject. For admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, the general candidates should have scored 75% and OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates should have secured 65%.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2018 Paper II (B.Arch)
The candidates should have qualified JEE Main 2018 Paper II.
Candidates should have had Mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th Standard (or equivalent) examination.
For admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, the general category candidates should have obtained 75% aggregate marks and the OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates should have scores 65% in total five subjects including Mathematics.
JoSAA 2018 Eligibility Criteria for Admissions into Other States and Institutes
For admissions into other institutes of various states, the eligibility criteria will depend upon the admission authorities of the individual institutes. Each institute or state will have their own eligibility criteria for admissions.
Before applying for any course, the candidates are advised to check if there are any restrictions in the applied course. The authorities of JoSAA 2018 will announce the details on the course restrictions which the candidates will have to be informed about.
