JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates seeking admission must refer to eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2020 to know the criteria required to be met to get a seat in desired programme and institute. Those candidates who will not meet the eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2020, they will not be offered admission. JoSAA 2020 eligibility criteria will vary for each course programme and participating institutes offering admissions and candidates will be offered admissions only if they meet the eligibility criteria.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2020
It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify JEE Advanced 2020.
Candidates applying for admission through JoSAA 2020 must have secured a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in their Class 12th or equivalent examination. Relaxation of 10% will be offered to candidates belonging to reserved categories. Thus, SC/ST/PwD category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks in qualifying examination
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2020 (Preparatory Courses at IITs)
Candidates applying for admission must have secured marks higher than the cutoff of JEE Advanced 2020.
Admissions to preparatory courses will only be open for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category. These reserved category candidates will have to secure at least 65% marks in Class 12th or equivalent examination
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2020
Paper I (B.Tech)
Candidates are required to score higher marks than the cutoff of JEE Main 2020 for Paper
Candidates must have qualified Class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of either Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject as optional subject
In order to get admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, general category candidates must have secured minimum 75% aggregate marks while reserved category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks
Paper II (B.Arch)
Candidates are required to qualify JEE Main 2020 Paper II
Candidates must have studied Mathematics as one of subjects in Class 12th or equivalent examination
In order to get admissions to IIITs, NITs and GFTIs, candidates belonging to general category needs to have secured at least 75% aggregate marks while candidates belonging to reserved categories needs to have secured a minimum of 65% marks in total of five subjects including Mathematics
JoSAA 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Admissions into Other States and Institutes
Eligibility criteria for admission into other institutes of various states will be based primarily upon the admission authorities of individual authorities offering admission. Each institute or state offering admission to candidates will have separate eligibility criteria for the admission process.
Along with the JoSAA eligibility criteria 2020, candidates are advised to go through the course restrictions to check whether there are any restrictions to the course they are applying for. There are various eligibility criteria to apply for the 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme. These are given below.
- The student must have passed 12th with atleast 75% marks in PCM, and atleast 50% marks in English only.
- He has given JEE Mains .
Now the call for SSB will be issued to you on the basis of your rank in JEE Mains.Now as you have good marks in 12th but you have low rank in JEE Mains, so it is diificult for you to get a call for SSB. I get 246235 rank in JEE main 2020 Can I get any NIT or IIIT college
Because cutoffs of these colleges are very high.
Even cutoffs changes every year but Nit, IIIT are government colleges and are top colleges of India.
You can apply for Csab counseling which takes place after Jossa counseling.
I would recommend you to apply for other states government and private colleges which takes admission through Jee mains marks.

You need to mention the state you are coming from.Considering the given rank as your category rank I will try to answer this question without considering HS quota.You don't have much chances for getting into top NITs but you can try for NIT Agartala but you won't be getting a proper branch for more clarification you can go through the below link and check the cut-off for other NITs
