What is B.Tech Management Quota Admission?

Most state counselling processes and deemed universities allow a percentage of seats to be reserved as management quota. These are essentially payment seats and the cost of admission as well as the fee is higher than regular seats. States like Andhra, and Telangana offer admission to B.Tech courses to as many as 35% of the seats in the private engineering colleges in the state. In other states, it may be up to 15%. Some states offer a separate B.Tech counselling for the management quota while many club it with the regular one.

Candidates who have not appeared for any entrance exam or have secured low scores in entrance exams can apply for the direct B.Tech admissions through management quota. The other avenue for direct B.Tech admissions is the institutional quota which is offered through the spot rounds of most counselling processes. Another pathway is to approach the college or institute for admission.
