    DTE MP Counselling 2026 - The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh, has released the DTE MP B.Tech 2026 Phase 1 common merit list on June 29, 2026, through its official website, dte.mponline.gov.in. Earlier, the DTE MP BE 2026 choice filling and counselling registration process concluded on June 28, 2026, for JEE Main and qualifying examination (QE)-based admissions. Candidates whose names appear in the common merit list will be eligible for the seat allotment process. The DTE MP B.Tech 2026 seat allotment letter will be released on July 3, 2026, based on candidates' merit, preferences filled, and seat availability.     MP DTE 2026 Counselling & Seat Allotment

    Step 1- DTE MP 2026 Registration and Online Verification of documents: Eligible candidates have to register first and then get their documents verified. The registration process and document verification for MP BE 2026 counselling will be done in online mode. After the document verification process, candidates will get an online generated slip. However, if candidates will only register themselves successfully but do not get their documents verified, the slip only for registration will be generated. Moreover, these candidates will have to visit the help centres to get their documents verified in person.

    Documents required for MP DTE Counselling 2026

    • Class 10 and 12 marksheet.

    • MP domicile certificate (If applicable).

    • Reserve category certificate (If applicable).

    • Family income certificate (for TFW & OBC category candidates).

    • Aadhaar Card.

    • Other essential documents.

    Step 2- Choice filling and fee payment: Once the above step is completed, candidates will be required to submit their choices of colleges and colleges in order of their preference. Candidates need to make sure that they lock their choices once filled in. Once choices are submitted, candidates will have to pay the requisite, a nonrefundable MP BE 2026 counselling and part tuition fee. The fee payment will be done either in online mode (through Paytm, credit/debit card or net banking) or in offline mode (through cash at help centres).

    Step 3 - MP DTE Seat Allotment 2026: Based on the common merit list, availability of seats, and choice filling, candidates will be allotted seats in the MP BE 2026 participating institutes. Authorities will release the MP BE 2026 seat allotment results for JEE Main 2026 qualified candidates on the official website. Candidates can download their seat allotment letter from here once released.

    To download their MP BE 2026 seat allotment letter, candidates will have to log in to the counselling portal using their roll number/application number, date of birth, round number, and password.

    Step 4- Reporting, document verification, and admission in the allotted institute: Candidates who will be offered seats will have to report at the allotted institute to get their documents verified. Moreover, they have to pay the admission fee at the institute to confirm their MP BE 2026 admission.

    What after MP DTE seat allotment 2026?

    Candidates have two options after a seat is allotted to a candidate. He/she will have to choose any of the options mentioned below if they are not satisfied with the allotment.

    • Option 1- Upgrade seat: If candidates are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can choose to upgrade it. However, this option can be opted for only by candidates who will be applying based on JEE Main 2026 scores. Candidates who will be applying based on a qualifying exam will not be able to access this option.

    • Option 2- Internal branch sliding: Once a seat is allotted to the candidates, they can opt for internal branch sliding in the same institute against the vacant or dropout seats. However, to opt for this option, candidates will have to pay the portal fee of Rs.100.

    If seats remain vacant, a special round of DTE MP counselling and seat allotment 2026 will be held for admission to govt., private, self-financed, and government-funded institutes. The round will be conducted on the basis of JEE Main 2026 and class XII merit. In case, there are vacant seats, a round of MP DTE 2026 counselling and seat allotment will be conducted for private institutes only.
