To get the online JEE Mains application link, candidates need to visit the official website. Alternatively, candidates can visit this article to access the JEE Mains application form link. To apply for the JEE Mains 2026 without any hassle, use the registration link within the given duration. During the registration last date, candidates can face issues while accessing the JEE Main form link.
Indian citizens, NRIs, OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) and PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) who have completed/ appearing in Class 12 are eligible to apply for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2026. There is no minimum or maximum age limit to access the JEE Main registration link. However, candidates can appear for three consecutive years after qualifying 12th standard.
After the release of JEE Main application form link, candidates first need to visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Now, register for the exam by entering the basic personal details like name, date of birth. Gender, father’s name to generate the application number.
With the system generated application number and password, candidates need to login to their account and fill in the information asked for which are education details, complete address, test centre preference and more.
Now, upload the requisite documents and pay the application fee online.
Lastly, click on "Submit" to fill the JEE Main application form.
Only candidates who will submit the JEE Main online form on time will be able to get their JEE admit card.
After accessing the JEE Main application link, candidates should carefully upload all the mandatory documents in the mentioned specification. Failing to do so may lead to cancellation of the JEE Main registration.

You can fill the JEE Main form even if you are a private candidate
Write the
name of the school/board from where you are appearing as a private candidate
.
If your Class 12 admit card or registration slip shows a school/centre name, use that exactly.
If your board lists you as a “Private Candidate” under the board name , then write:
CBSE – Private Candidate
(or your board name – Private Candidate)
Use the pin code of the examination centre/school mentioned on your Class 12 private candidate admit card or registration details.
If your board does not give any school address and only shows the regional office address, then use the regional office address pin code given by your board.

You should not leave the OBC-NCL certificate ID blank in the JEE Main form it can create problems later.
NTA wants the certificate details while filling the form, not just at counselling. If you can, apply for the OBC-NCL certificate immediately so you get the ID on time.
If you fail to submit the certificate during counselling, your category will shift to General. It’s safer to enter OBC-NCL only if you’re sure you’ll get the certificate before counselling.
