MHT CET Counselling 2020 - Schedule (Revised), Registration Details
MHT CET Counselling 2020 - State CET Cell, Maharashtra revised the dates for round 2 MHT CET 2020 counselling. As per new MHT CET counselling dates, choice filling for round 2 seat allotment will start from January 21. Also last date for accepting seats for round 1, reporting to allotted institutes and submitting documents is extended till January 20. The round 1 result of MHT CET 2020 counselling was announced on January 13. MHT CET Counselling 2020 process includes online registration, fee payment and online document verification. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores can also have to register for the MHT CET 2020 counselling process and pay the required fee. There is no counselling fee for MHT CET qualified candidates. The MHT CET 2020 counselling will be a Centralized Counselling Process (CAP) for B.Tech admissions. MHT CET 2020 Counselling Process
The authorities have announced MHT CET counselling date 2020 on the official website. Candidates can refer to the step by step procedure of the MHT CET counselling mentioned below:
Step 1- MHT CET 2020 Conselling Registration- The first step is to register online by entering the required details.
Candidates will have to visit the official site and enter the following details.
Personal Details
- Name of the candidate
- Gender
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
- Religion
- Region
- Mother Tongue
- Annual Income of the family

- Address of the candidate
- Mobile Number

Category Details- Candidates will have to select their type of candidature according to their category. They have to select from the following categories based on their eligibility:
- Maharashtra State Candidature (Type A/ B/ C/ D/ E)
- OMS
- J&K Migrant
- Foreign Students
- NRI
- PIO/ OCI
- CIWGC
- GoI
Security Question
- Candidates will have to select the security question from the options available
- They will then be required to answer the question and remember both question and answer for future use
- The next step is the creation of Password
After filling the information required, candidates will have to create a password by following the parameters given below:
- The password must be 8 to 13 characters long
- It must have at least one upper and lower case alphabet
- It must consist of minimum one numeric value
- It must contain minimum one special character like !@#$%^&*-
Step 2 – Qualification and Examination Details: The next step is to enter the details of their Class 10th & 12th. They will also be required to submit information related to MHT CET 2020..
Step 3 – Uploading of Scanned Images: Candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature according to the specifications given below:

Step 4 – Fee Payment: Candidates are required to pay the counselling fee. The payment has to be done in online mode. There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2020 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores must however pay the counselling fee.

Step 6 – Print out of Counselling Registration Form: Candidates are required to take a print out of the counselling registration form after the successful payment. They will have to present it at the time of document verification.
Step 7 - Document Verification: The documents of candidates this year are verified online by the authority. Candidates are not required to report at designated FC for the verification of the documents.

Step 8 - Choice Filling: Candidates will have to do the choice filling by choosing the names of colleges and courses in the order of their preference. They are advised to fill maximum choices to keep their admission chances high. Choice filling will be open for every round.
Step 9 - Publication of Merit List: The authorities of DTE will publish the provisional and final MHT CET merit list which will consist of the names of shortlisted candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit list released and choices filled by the candidates.
MHT CET 2020 Seat Allotment
After filling the choices in MHT CET counselling, exam authority will release the seat allotment result. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will conduct MHT CET 2020 seat allotment through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in online mode in three rounds. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment by logging in using the required credentials. In case a candidate is allotted seat then he/she will have to download their allotment letter and report to the centre to select their preferred option (freeze, float or slide) for the seat allotted. Candidates will have to confirm their allotted seat at the institute, if satisfied. The seats will be allotted on the basis of candidates’ merit, choice filling and availability of seats in MHT CET 2020 counselling.
MHT CET 2020 Reservation Criteria
The authorities shall announce the current reservation policy applicable along with the MHT CET 2020 counselling schedule. However, the table below contains that of the previous year for reference purposes.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) under MHT CET 2020
The TFWS mentioned here refers to the one launched by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Under the TFWS scheme, upto 5% of sacnctioned seats in the technical educational institutes have to provide a fee waiver of tuition fee for eligible candidates. Only Maharashtra State Candidature candidates are eligible for seats under TFWS. Eligible candidates of Maharashtra state having their parent’s annual income less than Rs. 8 Lakh (from all sources) shall only be eligible for TFWS seats.

MHT CET 2021 APPLICATION FOEM STARTING DATE
MHT CET (or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a common state level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra every year for admission into undergraduate engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses. So the MHT CET 2021 application was expected to be out in the first week of January 2021 but it is not released yet and is expected to be released by the end of this month. It will be released on the official website as given below by The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell :-

After the release of application form you can follow the complete application process as described below :-
- You have to fill the registration form very firstly by visiting to the above mentioned official website.
- To register, you will have to enter your basic details such as your name, father's name, mother's name, contact details and so on.
- Then after you will also be required to create a username (4 to 15 characters) and password (8 to 20 characters).
- Now the registered candidates will have to visit the MHT CET home page and required to login using their username and password created in the third step.
- Now coming to the last part, you are required to enter your preferences in the MHT CET application form 2021 for exam day like language of exam, exam centers, etc.
- Then you have to proceed for uploading of images in the prescribed format :-

My son will appear 10th CBSE from Kuwaitin 2021, I am planning for him to do his 11th & 12th from Maharashtra, will he be able to get admission through MHCET,is it is enough to have 11th and 12th from Maharashtra state to be eligible for MHCET.Appreciate your response. _
Candidates should have passed SSC and also Diploma in Engineering or HSC or Bachelor of Science Exam from a recognised institution in the state ofMaharashtra. Candidate should either be aDomicileofMaharashtraand/or should be born inMaharashtra to avail the reservation for the Maharashtra state students. Others state candidate (Reserve Category ) shall be eligible for admission in B.Tech in Maharashtra through MHT CET

Yes,candidates who do not belong to Maharastra state can also appear for the MHT CET. You can get admission into the engineering colleges in Maharashtra even if you are non-resident of Maharashtra. However, non-residents can just go for the private colleges under AIQ 15% quota. They cannot appear for the government and government aided colleges for the admission process through MHT CET.
My son is OCI holder and is currently studying in 8th standard (CBSE). He shifted to Thane,Maharshtra in class 3. Can he be eligible for MH CET in near future taking in to the current rules?
