MHT CET Counselling 2018 - DTE Maharashtra has announced the result of MHT CET 2018 seat allotment for round CAP round-3. Earlier, authorities have published the provisional vacant seats for CAP-III on July 13. Also, they have announced the MHT CET 2018 seat allotment for CAP Round 2 on July 9. Candidates who had allotted seat for first time in second round will have to report to the ARC as per allotment within July 10 to 12. The result of CAP round-I was released on June 30. The facility of option entry for round 1 was available from June 25 to 28 in online mode. Candidates could submit the grievance, if any, for all type of candidates at FC till June 23. DTE Maharashtra has concluded the online registration and choice filling for MHT CET 2018 counselling from June 21. All the qualified candidates had to register for MHT CET counselling 2018 and to report at the facilitation centres to verify their documents. Online submission of preferred choice of courses and colleges also had to be done by the candidates to participate in MHT CET 2018 counselling. Only MHT CET qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The MHT CET allotment process will be done through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The allotment of seats will be done according to the merit of the candidates and their preference of seats. Registration Procedure for MHT CET Counselling 2018
The process of counselling of MHT CET 2018 had started from June 7. Registrations for the counselling process had to be done by the candidates. The given steps can be followed by the candidates to register for the counselling session:

Step 1 – Registration – For the first step, the candidates will have to register.
Click on “New Registrations”
In the next page, the selection of nationality has to be done by the candidates.
Next, the candidates will have to submit their personal, contact and security details on the registration form. The candidates have to remember that all of the submitted details have to valid in nature. A password also has to be selected by the candidates after filling their information.

Selection of Password
A password has to be created by the candidates after submitting the required details. The listed policies have to be correctly followed by the candidates while creating the password:
The password must be 8 to 13 characters long
The password must have at least one upper and lower case alphabet.
At least one numeric value must be present in the password.
The password must contain at least one special character i.e., [email protected]#$%^&*-
Step 2 - Selection of Details on Types of Candidature – While registering themselves, the candidates will have to select their type of candidature according to their category. The selection has to be done from the following categories by the candidates as per their eligibility:
Maharashtra State Candidature (Type A/B/C/D/E)
J&K Migrant Applicant
Step 3 - Enter Qualification and Examination Details – The candidates will have to submit their 10th and 12th standard subject wise and overall marks along with the name of the school board. All of the information related to the MHT CET 2018 examination will also have to be submitted by the candidates.
Step 4 – Uploading of Scanned Images – Next, the candidates will have to submit their scanned photograph and signature according to the specifications mentioned in the table given below:

Step 5 – Payment of Counselling Fees: After submitting all of the required information and scanned images, the candidates will have to pay the counselling fees. The payment of the counselling fees has to be done in online mode.

Step 6 – Take Print out of Counselling Application Form – After payment of the counselling fees, the candidates will have to take print out of the filled application form and present it for verification at the facilitation centres.
Reporting at Admission Facilitation Centres (AFC)
All registered candidates will have to report at the admission facilitation centres for verification of documents. The original documents along with a set of attested copies have to be presented at the facilitation centres. Those candidates who do not report at the facilitation centre will not be allowed to proceed further in the admission process.

Selection of College and Course
Next, the candidates will have to log into their accounts to submit their choice of college and course. Minimum 1 and maximum 300 options can be selected by the candidates. All of the options have to be selected in order of preference since this factor will also be considered during the allotment of seats.
Release of Provisional Merit List
The concerned authorities of MHT CET 2018 has released the final merit list on June 24. MHT CET 2018 final merit list consists of the names of the shortlisted candidates. The provisional merit list was published on June 21. The authorities will be allotted the seats according to the merit of the candidates along with his/her preference of courses and colleges.
MHT CET 2018 Seat Allotment
The candidates will be allotted into the participating institutes through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) The allotment of MHT CET 2018 CAP Round I will be done from June 29. The candidates will be able to check their allotment status by submitting their application id and date of birth. Allotment of seats will be done according to the merit of the candidate and their submitted choices. Another factor of allotment is also the availability of seats. The allotment list will be published only in online mode.
Reporting at Admission Reporting Centres
After allotment, the candidates will have to report at their neared reporting centre to “freeze”, “float” or “slide” their allotted seat. If the candidates do not wish to participate in the further round of seat allotment, then they will have to select “Freeze”. The option of “Slide” is selected if the candidate accepts the allotted seat but is open for admission into a higher preferred course within the same institute. “Float” is selected when the candidate accepts the allotted seat but shows interest if any higher preferred choice of course or college is open for admission in the further rounds of allotment.
Reporting at Allotted Institute
Allotted candidates will finally have to report to their allotted institute to complete the admission process. Payment of the balance fees has to be done to confirm the allotted seats. The confirmation process has to be completed before the final date.
