The candidates will now be able to check their allotment status by logging in using their application ID and date of birth. The vacant seats for CAP Round III were displayed on July 16, 2017 by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra and the option filling for Round III ended on July 22, 2017. The Round II of provisional seat allotment of MHT CET 2017 was announced by DTE on July 10, 2017. The online registration for the counselling of MHT CET 2017 had commenced on June 5. Candidates who have qualified in the MHT CET had to register, fill the application and get their documents verified at the designated help line centres. Candidates whose name will feature in the merit list announced by the DTE after document verification are eligible for the counselling session which is being conducted through a Centralized Counselling Process (CAP). Counselling is held in three rounds. After registration, candidates had to visit the Facilitation Centres of MHT CET to get their document verified. DTE Maharashtra released the provisional merit list on June 19 and the final merit list on June 22. Thereafter the option entry for CAP round 1 started from June 23 to 26, the second round from July 5 to 8 and the third round from July 16 to 22, 2017. The applicants have to register, complete their document verification and fill their choices of courses as well as colleges to participate in the seat allotment process of MHT CET 2017. Allotment of seats will be done strictly based on the merit of the applicant and his/her secured scores in the entrance examination. MHT CET 2017 examination was held on May 11, 2017.

Steps for MHT CET 2017 Counselling Registration

 

The online registrations of MHT CET Counselling 2017 have ended. The applicants had to fill the required details and register themselves for the MHT CET counselling and allotment session.

 

Step 1: Registration:

The applicants had to register themselves in online mode. Click on “New Registration” after which the applicants had to select their nationality.

 

Step 2: Fill the Registration Form

Personal, communication and security details of the applicant had to be submitted. A password has to be selected by the applicant.

 

Personal Details:

  • Name of the applicant.

  • Father’s Name

  • Mother’s Name

  • Gender of the applicant

  • Religion

  • Region of the applicant

  • Mother Tongue

  • Annual Income of the Family

Communication Details:

  • Complete address

  • Mobile Number

  • Email ID

Choose Security Question Details

  • Select Security Question

  • Answer the Security QuestionImportant Dates

Choose Password

The password had to be created by the applicants using the Password Policy

  • Password must be 8 to 13 character long.

  • Password must have at least one upper case alphabet.

  • Password must have at least one lower case alphabet.

  • Password must have at least one numeric value.

  • Password must have at least one special character e.g., !@#$%^&*-

Step 3 – Candidature Type Details

 

The applicant had to select their category as per his/her domicile. The selection had to be done as per the eligibility of the applicant from the given categories:

 

Maharashtra – Type A: Applicants passing S.S.C. (Std. X) and H.S.C. (Std. XII) / Diploma / B.Sc from Maharashtra State and Candidate is Domiciled / Born in the State of Maharashtra.

 

Maharashtra - Type B: If the applicant does not satisfy as Type A but the applicant/father or mother of the applicant is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.

 

Maharashtra – Type C: Does not satisfy both Type A and Type B but the father or mother of the applicant is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking who has posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submitting the Application Form for CAP.

 

Maharashtra – Type D: Does not satisfy as Type A and Type B and Type C but Father or Mother of the applicant is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Maharashtra Government Undertaking.

 

Maharashtra – Type E:  Applicants qualifying S.S.C (Std. X) and/or H.S.C (Std. XII) / Diploma / B.Sc from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother Tongue is Marathi.

 

OMS: Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) applicant having Indian nationality.

 

J&K Migrant Applicant: Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Applicant: J-1 Type / J-2 Type / J-3 Type

 

Foreign Students: Foreign National / Foreign Students

 

NRI: Non-Resident Indian (NRI) applicant. 

 

PIO / OCI: Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

 

CIWGC: Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries

 

GoI: Government of India (GoI) Nominee applicant

 

Step 4 – Qualification Details

Next, the applicants had to enter their subject wise and overall marks obtained in 10th and 12th standard. The name of the board obtained by the applicants should also have been entered by the applicants.

 

Step 5 – Examination Details

The details regarding the applicant’s examination details of MHT CET 2017 also had to be submitted to be registered for the counselling session.

 

Step 6 – Uploading of Scanned Images

The applicants had to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications given below for successful registration.

Step 7 – Payment of Counselling Fees

Payment of the required counselling fees as per the category of the applicant had to be paid in online mode. The details of the fees are listed below:

Printout of the online MHT CET 2017 Counselling Application

Candidates who had successfully filled in the details and paid the counselling fee had to take a printout of their online application form for counselling to be verified at the facilitation centres.

Application Confirmation & Document Verification at Admission Facilitation Centres (AFCs)

The candidates who successfully registered themselves had to visit the Facilitation Centres (FC) in person for the verification of documents. Click here for the list of Facilitation centres. The following documents in original along with a set of attested copies had to be brought for verification:

  • 10th Standard Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet

  • 12th Standard Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet

  • MHT CET Result 2017

  • Character Certificate

  • Migration Certificate

  • Category Certificate (if applicable) as per guidelines

  • School Leaving Certificate

  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra (if applicable)

  • MHT CET Admit Card 2017

Some Guidelines

  • Candidates who failed to confirm their online filled application form at the facilitation centre will not be considered for the admission process.

  • Candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce "Caste Validity Certificate" issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Justice & Special Assistance Department.

  • Candidates belonging to ST category should submit "Tribe Validity Certificate" issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Development Department.

  • All Backward Class candidates should produce Non Creamy Layer certificate valid up to 31st March 2018 at the time of verification of documents at the facilitation centres failing which they will be considered as general category

  • Reserved category candidates who are unable to produce Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate are required to submit a self-attested copy of Proforma H on Rs.100/- Non Judicial Bond Paper to be downloaded from the DTE Maharashtra website.

  • Candidates who are unable to produce the Caste/Tribe certificate for reservation claim during documents verification phase will be required to pay the difference of fees - Rs 200/- at the FC. The payment is online only

 Note: After the confirmation of their application forms, all candidates must download the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement by logging in.

 

Online Option Entry:

  • Candidates must log in and enter their choices of courses and colleges

  • They must enter as many choices as they can in the order of their preference.

  • Candidates can fill in a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 300 options
  • Only candidates whose application is confirmed will be able to enter their choices in the online option entry form.

Provisional Merit List

  • DTE had announced the provisional merit list for MHT CET 2017. The seat allotment will be on the basis of the merit ranks awarded to the candidate as well as the choices they have filled in.

 MHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment

 

The allotment status of CAP round III of MHT CET 2017 has been announced on July 24, 2017. Candidates can check the provisional allotment status for the first round by entering their application id and date of birth. The candidates are allotted seats as per the merit number allotted to the candidates on the basis of their scores in MHT CET or JEE Main and the choices filled in by them. The seat allotment also depends on the availability of seats. The list of the allotted applicants is released online indicating the allotted course and institute.The display of the provisional seat allotment of round 2 was done on July 10, 2017. The first round of provisional seat allotment of MHT CET 2017 was announced on June 26, 2017. 

 

Reporting by the Candidates at Admission Reporting Centres.

  • After allotment, candidates have to report to the nearest Admission Facilitation Centre.  They can select the option of ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ for subsequent round(s), of seat allocation

  • The option to Freeze means that candidates accept the allotted seat and do not want to participate in any further rounds of seat allocation.

  • The option to Slide means that candidates accept the allotted seat and wish to accept admission to an academic program of higher preference within the same allotted Institution, they will accept it. Such candidates can participate in the subsequent rounds of admission;

  • The option to Float means that candidates accept the allotted seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of higher preference in any Institution is offered, they will accept it. If not, they will continue with the currently accepted academic program. Such Candidates can participate in subsequent rounds of admission;

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats should select the reporting option as ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ through their login.

Reporting at the allotted institution

Candidates must report to the allotted colleges to complete their admission formalities. They must pay the balance fees and submit the required documents before the specified dates.
