    How will the WBJEE 2026 merit list be prepared?

    The following factors will be considered to prepare the WBJEE merit list 2026.

    • Ranks will be allotted based on the score obtained by candidates in the WBJEE exam.
    • The marks will be calculated after considering objections raised against the provisional WBJEE answer key.
    • There will be a General Merit List (GMR) and a category-wise merit list for WBJEE 2026.
    • WBJEE rank list shall be ordered from highest to lowest rank based on the marks obtained by candidates.
    • In case of two or more candidates have the same marks, the normalisation/tiebreaker rule shall be followed.
    • 10% of seats in all Self-Financed Engineering & Technology colleges in West Bengal are reserved for JEE Main qualified candidates.

    With a GMR around 65,000 and SC rank 7,663 , getting a seat in the most sought-after government colleges and branches (CSE, IT, ECE at KGEC/JGEC/JU) is unlikely.
