    How to Calculate JEE Main 2026 Jan 29 Percentile?

    The authority calculates the percentile of the JEE Mains 2026 exam with the help of a normalisation formula. The percentile score is different for each shift of the JEE Main exam. Many factors influence the percentile score, like the number of candidates appearing for the shift, the highest marks scored by the candidates, the difficulty level of the exam, etc. Candidates percentile score is calculated upto seven decimal for every shift. Below is the percentile formula that is used to get a candidate's percentile score.

    Percentile Score = 100 x Total number of candidates appeared in shift with raw score eual to or less than the candidate / The total number of students in that session.

    Raw score refers to the score achieved by the candidate by out 300 by adding 4 marks to the correct answer and minus 1 to the incorrect answer.
