APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID) is a unique 12-digit number assigned to each student that helps track their entire academic record. The APAAR ID helps in maintaining verified records through the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) platform, making academic transfers and record verification easier. Details such as the candidate’s mark sheets, degrees, and awards will be available in a single secure platform integrated with DigiLocker and linked to Aadhaar. The ID is designed to track student progress, simplify transfers between institutions, and streamline record-keeping.
Candidates can find the APAAR ID in their Digilocker account, as well as their ABC accounts. Candidates can also contact their respective schools for the APAAR ID.
According to the JEE Main 2026 information brochure, it is not mandatory for candidates to enter their APAAR ID while filling out the registration form. Additionally, the authority has also listed the APAAR ID in the candidate’s personal and academic details. Therefore, candidates should ensure they have an APAAR ID before commencing the JEE Main 2026 registration.
The provision to enter the APAAR ID is a separate step in the JEE Main 2026 application form. Candidates will be able to enter their APAAR ID under the “Additional section” details.
The APPAR ID page will look like this:
Once the candidate enters the APAAR ID, they have to then validate their number. If the ID is successfully validated, the details will automatically be fetched by the server.
The reasons why the APAAR ID is not validated could be because of a typo, the ABC account not linked to Aadhaar properly, Server delay, a recently created APAAR ID, or a mismatch in personal details. The following solutions can be applicable in such a case.
Recheck the APAAR ID by logging into the digiocker app. Copy and paste the APAAR ID once again as is to avoid a mismatch.
In case the APAAR ID was generated recently, it might not be active yet. It takes around 24–48 hours for new IDs to reflect in the validation system. So wait for that period and try again.
In case the ABC account is not linked to Aadhaar properly, candidates must log in and re-link their Aadhaar with the ABC account.
Server delays can also cause delays in fetching details. Hence, wait for a bit and try again in some time.
If none of these work, candidates must contact ABC/ Digilocker or NTA support for resolution.

Hello,
If the ten years question paper file is not opening, it may be due to file corruption, unsupported format or incomplete download. Try downloading the file again and make sure the download completes fully. Check if your device has an updated PDF reader or file viewer. If the file still does not open, try using another device to check whether the file is working. If none of these methods help, you should request a fresh copy of the question paper file.
Hope this helps you.
