University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) will conduct UPESEAT 2020 from May 8 to 15. Candidates who wish to take admission in the B.Tech programmes offered by the institute will have to apply for the exam, if they meet the eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2020 set by the institute. The application form of UPESEAT 2020 is now available in online mode. The institute offers admission to the candidates in B.Tech programmes on the basis of three channels: UPESEAT, JEE Main merit or Class 12th through the centralised counselling. Candidates who successfully qualify the exam will be required to attend the counselling of UPESEAT 2020 along with the required documents for the verification purpose. Candidates will be allotted the seat upon successful document verification.
Admission to the B.Tech programmes will be through UPESEAT for 80% of the seat intake. The remaining 20% of the seats will be for the non-examination entry - JEE Main or class 12 merit. However, if seats are unfilled for these categories, the university will use UPSEAT merit to allot the seats.

Candidates who wishes to apply for the admission in UPES are required to check the eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2020 before filling the application form of the entrance exam. The admission authority will set the UPESEAT 2020 eligibility criteria to limit the admissions and only the candidates meeting the set criteria will be allowed to appear for the examination. Candidates will be able to apply to UPES for the admission through any of the three channels. All the candidates applying for the admission in the University will be required to have an age of less than or equivalent to 22 years i.e., they should be born on or after October 1, 1998 to be eligible to apply.

The admission authority of the University has released the application form of UPESEAT 2020. The application form is available to the candidates in online mode. The final date to fill the application form of UPESEAT 2020 is May 3. Candidates will be required to pay Rs. 1350/- as the application fee of UPESEAT 2020 through online mode.
Procedure to Fill the Online Application Form of UPESEAT 2020
STEP 1- Registration: Candidates will have to register first before filling the application form of UPESEAT 2020. For the registration candidates will be required to enter the following details: Name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Email ID, Mobile number, City, State, Course you are applying for, etc. Click on the submit option.
STEP 2- Input the One Time Password (OTP): Candidates after submitting the details in the application form will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Submit the OTP received in the box provided. Once, this step is confirmed, a confirmation mail will be sent to the registered email of the candidate comprising of the username and password.
STEP 3- Log-in & Confirm the Details: Candidates should log into the portal by using the username and password received on the email. After log in, check all the details filled in the application form and then submit it by clicking on “Confirm”.
STEP 4- Payment of Application Fee: Candidates will be redirected to the payment page for the payment of application fee. The candidates will be required to pay Rs. 1350/- as application fee of UPESEAT 2020 can be done in online mode (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card).
STEP 5- Entering Academic Details: After the payment of application fee has been completed, candidates will be redirected to the application form to enter the academic details of the qualifying examination. Candidates must provide all the valid information and then submit. After submission, application form will be available for download.

The admit card of UPESEAT 2020 will be released by the authorities on April 18. Candidates will have to complete the slot booking process to access the admit card. Details regarding the examination such as date, timing, venue details and more will be available in the admit card.
The admission authority of the institute does not release the answer key of UPESEAT 2020. If in case, the authority releases the UPESEAT 2020 answer key, it will be made available to candidates from this page. Even if the answer key is released by any of the coaching institutes, it will be available to the candidates as soon as it gets released.
The result of UPESEAT 2020 will be declared in online mode. UPESEAT 2020 result will comprise of the aggregate marks, section-wise marks, overall rank and category-wise rank of the candidates who have appeared in the examination. The candidates will have to log in to their admission portal by using their application form number and date of birth after which the result will be displayed on the screen.
The cutoff of UPESEAT 2020 is the minimum marks that would be required by the candidates to qualify for the admission process. The candidates who will meet the cutoff criteria will be required to proceed to the counselling process in the institute. UPESEAT 2020 cutoff will be determined on various factors such as availability of seats, number of candidates appearing in the exam, difficulty level of the exam and previous years cutoff trends.
Mode of Counselling:
The counselling of UPESEAT 2020 will be the centralised counselling based on the JEE Main 2020 score, Class 12th Board and UPESEAT 2020 merit list. Candidates will be invited to attend the UPESEAT 2020 counselling process. The candidates will be required to bring along the required documents for the verification purpose and seat allotment process. Only those candidates will be allotted the seat whose documents verification will be done.
UPESEAT 2020 Scholarships
The following scholarships will be provided to eligible candidates by the authorities.
Merit Based Scholarship - This scholarship will be provided to those candidates who had secured an aggregate of 80% marks in 10th and 12th standard and 80% marks in PCM for B.Tech in CBSE/ICSE/State Examination Board. Only 10% seats of each B.Tech programme will be given the scholarship and will be based on merit. 50% of tuition fee will be waived off in the first semester. Continuation of Scholarship in the subsequent years will be as per the University policy.
Scholarship for Uttarakhand State Board Toppers - The seats under this category will be within 15% reservation for Uttarakhand resident students. Under this scholarship, 25% tuition fee waiver will be provided for boys and 35% fee waiver will be provided for girls. The scholarship is renewed as per merit scholarship policy of the University. The candidates under this category should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate).

The application fees for exam is 1350 Inr for online/offline mode. Exam is conducted online mode for 3 hours. Application can be made between 19 September 2019 - 3 may 2020. Exam date is between 8-15 may 2020.
Eligibility criteria: Max age allowed upto 22 years. The candidate must be 10+2 passed with min 50% marks aggregate in maths, physics, chemistry. Also 50% min is required in his 10 & 10+2 class overall from a recognised board.

Now, there are two ways by which you are eligible for this program
1. Examination Pathway
Here candidates applying for this program must score atleast 50% Marks in there Higher & Senior Secondary level. Then only they can apply for ULSAT 2020 and after qualifying it they will be called GD and PI.
2. Non-examination Pathway
Now, to apply for this program without giving ULSAT 2020, you have two options
1. Here candidates with minimum 50% marks in 10th & 12th and CLAT AIR up to 15000 or L-SAT India percentile of 60 or above will be exempted from ULSAT and they wiil be called directly for GD and Interview.
2. Or candidates with minimum 80% marks in Higher & Senior Secondary with main five subjects (where English as one of the compulsory subject) are exempted from ULSAT and will be called directly for Group Discussion and Interview.
