Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2020 (Seat Allotment) - Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will commence the counselling of Karnataka PGCET 2020 tentatively from last week of August. All the shortlisted candidates will have to register for Karnataka PGCET 2020 in online mode. After registration of Karnataka PGCET counselling 2020, they will have to get their document verified by visiting help centres as per their GATE/PGCET rank. Authorities will issue the high security key for choice filling post document verification. Candidates will have to login to their Karnataka PGCET portal using high security key and fill and lock their choices of colleges and courses in order of their preference. Candidates must note that Karnataka PGCET 2020 counselling will solely based on merit list prepared by the authorities on the basis of score in GATE/ PGCET. Candidates will be able to apply for admission either through GATE or PGCET score however, authorities will give first preference to GATE qualified candidates. Candidates who will apply through GATE 2020 score will have to register for Karnataka PGCET 2020, however, they will be exempted from the examination. Authorities will also set up help centres across the state to facilitate students in the Karnataka PGCET counselling 2020. Candidates following mentioned below Karnataka PGCET 2020 eligibility criteria for counselling process will be eligible:
Candidate must have passed qualifying degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category)
Candidate with valid GATE 2020 score will be eligible to apply. Also, such candidates must have filled and register for Karnataka PGCET 2020
Candidates' names should appear in Karnataka PGCET 2020 merit list (GATE and PGCET merit list will be prepared separately. Preference will be given to GATE 2020 qualified candidates)
Candidates seeking admission in Part-Time M.Tech/M.E.must have work experience of not less than 3 years.
Note: GATE qualified candidates need not to appear in Karnataka PGCET 2020 test but should fill online application form
Candidates who will be applying for admission through Karnataka PGCET 2020 counselling process must keep following points in mind:
Candidates will have to visit the Karnataka PGCET counselling 2020 help centres as per their rank and schedule only.
Students will have to carry all the requisite documents, both original and xerox copies for verification to the help centres.
Students are suggested to fill choices in order of their preference. Karnataka PGCET 2020 seats allotment will be done only as per the choices filled based on the rank and category of students. Also, candidates must verify and lock their choices before the final date.
Students who will be allotted a seat in any round must download the provisional seat allotment letter and visit the allotted institute within the given due date and time.
Students who do not visit the allotted institute within the date mentioned in provisional seat allotment letter will themselves be liable for cancellation of their seats.
Students who will be allotted a seat in first round but wish to participate in the second round of counselling of Karnataka PGCET 2020 will have to first confirm the seat by paying seat acceptance fees at the help centre.
Students who will be claiming reservation under any category must submit proper certificate duly attested by competent authority.
Income certificate for claiming fee waiver must be recent and obtained from competent authority on or after 01.01.2020
Candidates who will be applying for admission through GATE 2020 score, non-Karnataka students and PwD students have to visit Bangalore help centre for document verification.
Candidates who will be applying for admission through GATE score will be required to apply online for the Karnataka PGCET 2020, however, they need not to appear in the entrance test.

Candidates will have to follow the mentioned below procedure while appearing for PGCET counselling 2020:
Students who will be applying for admission will have to visit help centre for registration as per their ranks and schedule. KEA will set up help centres across the state for all the process regarding registration and counselling. Registration will be done using PGECET 2020 application number where candidates will have to submit all the details as requested. During the process of registration, candidates will be briefed further counselling procedure by the officials conducting counselling of Karnataka PGCET 2020.
Document verification will be done at the designated centre after successful registration of Karnataka PGCET 2020 is done. Candidates will have to carry all the documents, both original and xerox copies to help centres. Also, candidates will be issued a document verification acknowledgement card and verification slip which they will have to retain till the entire admission process gets over.

GATE 2020 score card (if applying through GATE)
Two passport size recent colour photograph
SSLC/Class 10 marksheet
Class 12/ 2nd PUC marksheet

Qualifying exam mark sheet and degree/provisional certificate
Category certificate (In case applicable)
Income certificate if availing fee waiver
Candidate claiming Hyderabad/Karnataka region reservation must submit certificate in prescribed format duly attested from competent authority
Work certificate if applying for M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch Part-Time course
Candidates who will be eligible for Karnataka PGCET 2020 seat allotment after document verification will be allotted a high security key. All candidates will have use this high security key to login for choice filling. Candidates must change their password right after logging through the security key. Also, candidates will be able to see a seat matrix as per their rank and category once logged in. Students are suggested to carefully register their choice as per their order of preference and lock them before the last date, failing which the choices will be locked automatically.
Note: Candidate can enter any number of choices available to them and can also modify the list till final submission.
The mock seat allotment for Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2020 will be conducted to make students familiar with the seat allotment procedure and give them an idea about their seat allotment. Candidates will be able to change/modify their choices on the basis of mock allotment result. Candidate should note that mock seat allotment will not be the process for allotting seats. It will only be an imitation of the actual seat allotment process organized for familiarising students of the actual counselling procedure.
Karnataka Exam Authority, the organizing authority of PGCET 2020 will allot the seats on the basis of merit prepared from candidate’s score in PGCET/GATE exam, category and choice filled by them. Seats will be allotted in priority to GATE qualified candidates on all India basis without any reservation. After the allotment of seats to GATE qualified candidates, remaining seats will be offered to PGCET/GATE candidates on the basis of reservation criteria for Karnataka region/other reservation in the order of merit. Students who will be allotted a seat had the option of withdrawing from counselling after accepting the seat, move to second round after accepting the seat or withdraw from the counselling without accepting the seat.
Candidates who will be allotted a seat will have to download their provisional seat allotment letter and visit the allotted institute within specified date and time, otherwise their admission/seat get cancelled. Student who wish to appear in subsequent rounds of counselling will have option of modifying their choice within stipulated date and time.
Candidate who will not get any seat in the first round appears for the second round of counselling. All the procedures and criteria remained the same for the second round of seat allotment of Karnataka PGCET 2020. If seats that remain vacant after the second and final round will be converted into general merit category. All such seats will be allotted to students under GM category in the order of merit.
Candidates who will be allotted a seat after the first, second or special round (if any) will have to visit the allotted institute within specified date and time. They will be issued a provisional seat allotment letter which candidates will be able to download by logging into Karnataka PGCET 2020 Counselling portal.
Note: Candidates must carry all the documents in original and their xerox copies while visiting the college and must deposit the requisite fees as charged by college.

You can register for Karnataka PGCET 2020 by filling the application form via the official website i.e. kea.kar.nic.in. The forms are available from 30th may. The last day to fill the application form is June 20, 2020 (tentative) .Go to the ‘New User or Register here tab.Fill the required details such as Name, Gender, Contact Details, etc.You will then receive a User ID and Password on the email ID and mobile number provided by them. Pay the required fees. The payment can be made through any branch of the specified bank but not online.
