GATE 2017 Paper Analysis for ME by GateForum (Session 2)

In 2017, the GATE ME paper in afternoon session had more formula based questions. As compared to the previous year, the weightage given to Strength of Materials and Thermal Science has come down while weightage gave to Vibrations and Fluid Mechanics has increased. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate.

GATE Paper Analysis for ME by GateForum (Session 1)

As per the session 1 of GATE 2017 paper analysis for Mechanical Engineering (ME), the question paper was more conceptual in nature. Formula based questions were less in number as compared to concept-based questions in session 1. When compared to the previous year, it was found that weightage given to Engineering Mechanics has seen a dip, while weightage given to topics like Strength of Materials, Thermal Science and manufacturing Science has witnessed an increase. Rest of the topics were given more or less like the same weightage as last year. The overall difficulty level of the paper was higher when compared to last year.

GATE 2019 answer key: will be released by IIT Madras, tentatively in the third week of February 2019. Candidates can download the answer key for their respective paper and calculate their probable score after comparing their answers with the answer key.

GATE 2019 Score PredictorBefore the actual result announcement, candidates can also use the GATE Score Predictor to predict their scores. GATE Score Predictor is a creative and simple tool which predicts scores for the candidates based on their inputs which they enter in the tool. In order to use GATE Score Predictor, the candidates have to log in using their FB or Google account.

GATE Result 2019: The result of GATE 2019 will be declared for all the papers on March 16. In order to check GATE result, candidates have to log in to GOAPS (GATE Online Application Process System) and enter their GATE 2019 Registration ID, Enrolment No and date of birth in the specified space.

If you looking for Job then the best alternative for GATE exam is the UPSC IES examination which is conducted for engineering graduates.This is the best way possible you can get a job and that too in government of India and also there is a long list if perks and perquisites you will get once to crack IES examination.

As you are still in your 3rd year, you might not be still aware of the complete GATE syllabus. So analyse the topics and syllabus that you have learnt for the past 3 years and practise as much Mathematics as you can. Try as many mock tests as possible and get a hang of the exam pattern. Dear Harish, IIT Delhi has scheduled diiferent correction windows for different correction categories. The tentative dates to make corrections to your Category would be from the last week of October to 1st week of November. This is tentative and so please keep an eye on the official website. You can change your Category but you will not be refunded any additional amount that you paid towards your application form. Dear Pramod, IIT Delhi has closed registrations for GATE 2020 as on October 5th, 2019 along with late fees. Now the correction window has been opened. At this juncture, registering for GATE 2020 is not a possibility. You may have to wait until the next year if you  plan on appearing for GATE. For GATE 2020, you have been late.
