Working through papers allows students to be clear on the structure of questions, how marking is done, and the overall level of question difficulty. This will reduce surprises, and by becoming familiar with these structures, the students will feel confident and at ease, receiving maximum points on the day of the exam.
Identifying Areas of Strength and Weakness:
After each paper is completed, students should take some time to reflect on their performance in order to identify areas in which improvement could happen. This reflection is then used to change or revise their planning, to work on their weaknesses.
Filling Students with Confidence, and Reducing Test Anxiety:
If students repeatedly work through sample papers in conditions similar to the JEE Main exam as previously mentioned, they will feel confident, and reduce test-related anxiety leading into the exam.
