Yes, you can leave the EWS certificate number blank when applying for JEE 2025 if you don’t have the certificate yet. However, make sure to get the certificate before the counseling process. During the application, select the EWS category, and later, when the document is required, you can submit it. If the certificate isn’t ready by then, you might be considered under the General category.

Hi

The score required to crack JEE Mains depends on different factors , including your category , the specific college you are aiming for and the number of candidates appearing for the exam .

Here's some general guidelines :

1. General Category :

you need a score around 90 - 100+ out of 300 in JEE Mains .

To get admission in top NITs or IITs ,  score of 150 - 200+ can be competitive , depending on the branch and institute .

2. Reserved Categories ( OBC , SC , ST ) :

The qualifying marks for JEE Mains are generally lower for reserved categories .

A score of 70 - 100+ can be sufficient for qualifying , but admission to top institutions may require higher scores , similar to the general category .

ALL THE BEST

Helllo,

You can update your date of issue on an EWS certificate while there is a correction window for JEE Main. The National Testing Agency usually throws open such a window for updating fields like reservation category details, on which all applicants get updates in their application forms, including an EWS certificate. The correction window for the 2024 JEE cycle will open in December 2023 and again in January 2024. Here is your opportunity to update the issue date of EWS certificate; if any certificate issued after April 1, 2024, is not updated currently in your application.

For corrections on EWS or other categories, one can check the update announcements from the official site of JEE Main or Careers360 before availing the correction dates and guidelines.

For information about the correction process, have a look at the official guidance on Careers360: JEE Main correction window details on Careers360

Hello,

Filling in your name as per your Aadhaar card in the JEE Main 2025 application form is correct and generally recommended.

The name on your application form should match your official identification documents like Aadhaar to avoid discrepancies during the verification process at the examination center or for later admissions. Just make sure that the other details (like your father's name, date of birth, etc.) also match your official documents.

Hello,

Yes, it’s possible to join the Indian Army’s intelligence services even if you pursued computer science in classes 11 and 12. Here’s a breakdown of the process and criteria, particularly for civilian students and women:

  1. No JEE Requirement for Army Intelligence Corps : JEE is not required for joining the Army Intelligence Corps. JEE primarily facilitates entry into engineering programs, like at the National Defence Academy (NDA) or technical institutions. Intelligence roles are typically accessed through other Army pathways.

  2. Entry Through UPSC or SSC Examinations : Civilian students can join the Indian Army by clearing the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination or the Short Service Commission (SSC). Women can apply for SSC, which allows entry into intelligence or other non-combat roles.

  3. Intelligence Corps Eligibility :

    • Age : Generally, candidates should be 19-25 years old.
    • Education : A graduate degree is usually required, though certain roles may prefer technical or specialized degrees.
  4. Criteria for Girls :

    • SSC Pathway : Women can enter through SSC (Tech) or SSC (Non-Tech) schemes.
    • Selection Process : Includes written tests, Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews, and medical tests.
    • Role Assignment : Upon selection, specialized training for intelligence roles is provided based on Army requirements and candidate aptitude.

In summary, while computer science knowledge can be beneficial, JEE is not mandatory for entering intelligence. Women can join the Intelligence Corps through SSC routes.

We all know the importance of class 10th and class 12th marksheet. Class 10th is considered  like an birth certificate. These certificates play a big role in higher studies and in jobs . During, documents verification, class 12th marksheet is also seen, along with other proofs ,so it might create problems for you as your name would be different  in those documents. But don't worry.

If there is a mistake in name's spelling or father or mother name, then CBSE provide correction option to the students. For  correction in name in 12th marksheet, you can follow few steps.

Students can take the application form for name correction from the official website of CBSE board.

Fill the application form with correct details.

Submit the required documents like school leaving certificate .

Then you need to deposit some few for correction.

After completing the process, board will make the necessary corrections once the verification of original records of the school is done.

Hello,

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve this issue:

  1. Contact School Authorities : Reach out to your school immediately. Explain the discrepancy in your name between your Aadhaar card and board registration. Schools usually have a process to handle name corrections.

  2. Submit Correction Application : Schools may ask for a written application, so provide one along with proof of your correct name (e.g., Aadhaar card). Request that they initiate the correction in your board records.

  3. Check with Board Office : If needed, contact your state or central board’s regional office directly to understand the procedure and required documents for name corrections.

  4. Update JEE Application : Once the name is corrected in the board records, you may need to update your JEE registration. Check with the National Testing Agency (NTA) helpline on how to proceed.

  5. Stay Calm and Follow Up : Keeping calm and staying proactive with regular follow-ups is essential. This is a common issue, and boards have processes to handle it.

Hello,

In case you have no surname mentioned on your Class 10th marksheet but every other document has it, make sure the name is correctly uniform everywhere and also while appearing for exams like JEE Mains. Here is how you can do:

  • Wait for the Response from CBSE: Since you have already requested your school to send a mail to CBSE for correction, wait for their response. CBSE may update your marksheet by including your surname, which will match with your other documents.
  • In case the corrected marksheet does not reach you before the closing date of the JEE Main 2025 application form then you can submit your application using your name since it will be there on your 10th marksheet. You can correct the details of your application form if there's a need for it within the correction window.
  • Carry photocopies of all documents that bear your surname, including caste certificate, state ID, etc. For verification, it might come in handy.
  • Affidavit of Name Consistency: This affidavit can be made where it will be established that both the names carrying the surname and not carrying the surname refer to the same individual. It may be produced at the time of admission for verification purposes, if required.
  • Follow up: Keep follow-up with your school and CBSE at regular intervals to speed up the correction process.

This will see you well through to JEE Mains and any further admission processes.

Yes, you will be eligible for JEE Main and JEE Advanced in 2025 and 2026.

JEE Main allows candidates to attempt the exam in three consecutive years following their Class 12th examination. Since you are reappearing for the Class 12th board in 2024-25 due to medical reasons, your eligibility will start from 2025. This means you can take JEE Main in 2025, 2026, and 2027.

For JEE Advanced, candidates can appear in the exam twice in consecutive years, beginning the year they complete their Class 12th. Since your Class 12th completion year will be 2025, you can take JEE Advanced in 2025 and 2026.

Your gap year, caused by health challenges, does not affect your eligibility. The examination authorities recognize that candidates might face unforeseen circumstances and determine eligibility based on the year of completion of Class 12th, not initial enrollment. Just ensure you meet the other basic requirements, such as minimum marks in the required subjects, when applying.

Focus on your preparation and health, and when you're ready, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue JEE with full eligibility.
