Aditya kumar Student Expert 16th Oct, 2019

Hello there!

Greetings !

First of all I want to make one thing clear that only scoring 75 percent in class 12th doesn't make anyone eligible for jee advance , in order to be eligible for jee advance,  you need to clear jee mains but yes since you have scored more than 75 % in nios boards so you will be eligible for nits , iits etc if you performed well in jee as nios board is a recognised board and it is accepted by nits , iits etc. So , prepare well for jee

sir i dropped for the first time in 2018 to prepare for jee mains and jee advanced, but in 2019 when i was about to give these papers i sufferd from acute pancreatitis and thus i was not able to give i have decided to give mains in january 2020 .will this 2 year gap affect me in future

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 16th Oct, 2019

Dear Vishu, the year gap will not affect your future because you had medical issues. You can appear for JEE Mains 2020 and secure a seat and take admission. During placements, there will be questions asked and so keep all your Medical documents intact. It's not that they would want to check it but it is just for your justification. But for now, your focus should remain JEE Mains 2020 and you can cross that ship when time comes. During placements, what matters is your aggregate in your Bachelors and also your performance in the Interview.

  • Performance in JEE mains,
It is essential for the candidates to have qualified JEE mains and be among the top 250,000

  • Age limit
There's no age limit, since the supreme court has said one who is 25 and above is eligible for the exam

  • Number of attempts
JEE advanced can be attempted maximum of 2 times in 2 consecutive years

  • Admission in the IIT
Candidates who had already admitted in IITs are not eligible.

  • Performance in the 12th
One should score at least 75% aggregate in 12th and if the student is SC/ST/PWD he should secure 65%.
Once you are eligible by considering the above mentioned criteria you are ready for JEE advance.
