IIT Madras Seat Matrix 2026 - JoSAA will release the IIT Madras 2026 seat matrix for B.Tech program on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Candidates will be able to check the seat matrix of IIT Madras to know the number of available seats at the institute in each course for different categories of candidates. By knowing the IIT Madras seat matrix, candidates can make their preference for the course. Candidates need to apply for the IIT Madras B.Tech program through JoSAA. Admission to IIT Madras is based on the rank of JEE Advanced. As per the previous year's trends and data, the total number of seats is expected to be around 1120 to 1130 in IIT Madra 2026 for B.Tech.
The JEE Advanced 2026 result are scheduled to be declared on June 1, 2026, along with the final answer key. IT Madras offers various B.Tech programs for the candidates, namely Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Biological Engineering and Engineering Design.
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for conducting admission in NITs, IIITs, GFITs and IITs. Candidates who qualify for JEE Main are eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs and GFITs, while those qualifying for JEE Advanced are eligible for admission in IITs. It must be noted that all qualified candidates have to register for JoSAA counselling.
