last yr cutoffs:

.2024= 79.67

good luck!!!!!!

Yes, you’re eligible for JEE Advanced 2025 as an SC category female with 70 percentile in the Jan attempt. The cutoff for SC is usually much lower (around 50–55), so you’re in a safe zone.

Even if you missed the second attempt due to health reasons, don’t worry — one attempt is enough. You’ve got this, so feel free to start preparing with confidence!

Go for it!

Hello,

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025 even if you qualify JEE Mains.

Why?

The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced state that a candidate can attempt the exam only twice in consecutive years after passing Class 12.

  • Since you passed Class 12 in 2023 , your two chances to write JEE Advanced were in 2023 and 2024 (provided you qualified JEE Mains).

  • You skipped JEE Advanced in both years, which means you are no longer eligible for JEE Advanced 2025 .

What Can You Do?

  1. Focus on JEE Mains: You can still get into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs if you score well in JEE Mains.

  2. Consider Private or State Engineering Colleges: Many top private colleges accept JEE Main scores or conduct their own entrance exams (e.g., BITS Pilani, VIT, SRM, Manipal, etc.).

  3. Explore Other Career Options: If you are open to different career paths, you can consider other entrance exams or alternative fields.

Hello,

To gain admission to the BS-MS program at IISc Bangalore , you can apply through JEE Advanced or the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT).

Here's a summary of the previous years' cutoffs:

JEE Advanced Cutoff for IISc Bangalore (BS-MS)

  • General: Around 757 rank

  • OBC-NCL: Around 755 rank

  • SC: Around 559 rank

  • ST: Around 295 rank

IAT Cutoff for IISc Bangalore (BS-MS)

  • General: Around 17 rank

  • OBC-NCL: Around 420 rank

  • SC: Around 1,236 rank

  • ST: Around 4,897 rank

Cutoffs vary yearly based on difficulty and applicants, so aim for a high score.

Hope it helps !

You cannot directly take JEE advance after 12 th grade first, you need to appear for JEE Mains.

For JEE Mains,

There is no percentage required to appear in the JEE Mains. However, to gain admission in top institutes like NIIT and IIT, you need to score at least 65% in your 12 th grade for the SC/ST category.

For the most updated and accurate information, you should check the official NTA website (jeemain.nta.nic.in)

A candidate completing 12th in 2027 will be allowed to attempt JEE Advance a maximum number of two times. The two attempts should be consecutive after passing 12th else, student will not be allowed to sit for the exam. One needs to qualify JEE Mains to be appear for JEE Advanced.

Hello Rakesh,

Yes, you can skip the JEE Mains details section and still submit the GGSIPU BTech application form . Since the JEE CRL (Common Rank List) will only be available after JEE Mains Session 2 in April, GGSIPU usually allows candidates to update the JEE Mains details once the results are out.

What to Do:

  1. Leave the JEE Mains section blank while filling out the application.

  2. Complete and submit the form before the deadline of 31st March 2025 .

  3. Once JEE Mains Session 2 results are declared, GGSIPU will likely open a correction window or allow candidates to update their JEE CRL.

  4. Make sure to update the JEE details during that window.

If you’re unsure, you can check the official GGSIPU admission brochure or contact their helpline for confirmation.

Hello there,

Your son has a strong 95.2% percentile in JEE Mains, which gives him a good chance for CS in decent colleges through COMEDK and Manipal. Here's a clear plan:

  1. Current Applications:

    • Manipal: Good chance for CS at Manipal or Jaipur campus.
    • VIT Vellore: High chance of getting CS in the second or third category.
    • COMEDK: Likely to secure CS in top colleges like RV, BMS, or MSRIT with that percentile.

    • BITS: If he's comfortable with ECE in Goa, that's a strong backup option since BITS has good placement in both CS and ECE.

  2. Additional Applications: No need to apply to more private universities unless you want extra backup.

  3. Symbiosis vs Kalinga:

    • Symbiosis: Better for management and business fields, not as strong in engineering.

    • Kalinga (KIIT): Better for engineering with strong infrastructure and placement in CS and IT fields.

Recommendation: KIIT is a better choice for engineering.

Overall, the current options (Manipal, VIT, COMEDK, BITS) are sufficient for CS. KIIT could be a backup, but Symbiosis is less suitable for CS.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
