Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of IIT Ropar M.Tech Admission 2025 beforehand to know the conditions and requirements to be fulfilled by them. It should be noted that only those candidates who have a valid GATE score or are an IIT graduate/graduating with a CGPA of 8.0 can apply.

Chemical Engineering

Candidates having B.Tech/B.E/M.Sc with valid GATE score can apply.

Civil Engineering

Candidates who have done B.Tech/B.E in relevant areas with a valid GATE score can apply.

Computer Science & Engineering

Candidates who have done B.Tech /B.E/MCA or M.Sc in the appropriate area with a valid GATE score in Computer Science and Information Technology(CS), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), and /or Mathematics (MA) can apply.

Electrical Engineering

Candidates who have done B. Tech./B.E or M. Sc. in the relevant area with a valid GATE score in EE can apply.

Mechanical Engineering

Candidates who have done B.Tech./B.E in Mechanical Engineering or relevant area and have a valid GATE score can apply.

Biomedical Engineering

BE / B.Tech with at least 8 grade points on a scale of 10. In case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum requirement is 7.5 grades.

OR

Along with having a valid GATE score, candidates should have obtained at least 60% marks (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10) in MSc / MS in MCA or equivalent discipline. SC/ST candidates need only 55% marks(6.0).

OR

MBBS, B.Pharm, BVSc, or BDS degree holders with at least 60% marks (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10) can apply provided they have valid GATE scores. For SC/ST candidates minimum requirement is 55% marks(6.0).

How to fill IIT Ropar M.Tech 2025 Application Form?

Candidates can refer to the step-by-step detailed procedure to fill IIT Ropar M.Tech application form -

Step 1: Registration - In the first step, candidates will have to register for IIT Ropar M.Tech admission 2025 by submitting their log-in name and valid email ID. After all the details were entered, the authorities send a verification mail on the registered email id using that has to be verified by candidates. They also had to set a password. Candidates who wished to apply for more than one programme have to apply separately using the same mobile number.

Step 2: Filling the application form - After successful registration, candidates have to log in to the account and fill the required details such as the GATE roll number, and GATE scorecard. Candidates were also required to upload the following documents:

  • Recent passport size photograph
  • Resume
  • Self-attested copies of exams qualified (including mark sheets/grade cards of all semesters)
  • Self-attested copies of GATE scorecard
  • Copy of any published publications/patent
