How Many Students Appeared For GATE 2026 - IIT Guwahati will release the number of students who appeared for the GATE 2026 exam on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. In the previous year, there were 9,36,019 registrations for the GATE exam, and 7,47,319 candidates appeared for it. The authority is conducting the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026.
In 2023, 75,000 candidates appeared for the GATE exam; In 2024, the number increased to 123,000 candidates; and in 2025, 170, 000 candidates appeared.
