IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018 - The online application form of IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018 was available from March 16 to April 16. Those candidates who wish to pursue their postgraduate engineering studies in IIT Delhi will have to successfully register themselves for admissions. All candidates should have qualified GATE examination to be eligible for allotment through IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018. IIT graduates with a CGPA of 8.5 or above do not have to qualify GATE examination for admissions. A written test will be held by the admission authorities from May 14 to June 8 and the performance of the candidates in the test will also act as an admission factor. During the selection process of IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018, both the GATE/CGPA scores and performance in the written test will be taken into consideration. IIT Delhi M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2018


It is necessary for all candidates to satisfy the required eligibility criteria set by the admission committee. GATE examination has to be attempted and qualified by the candidates. Only those candidates who are able to meet the criteria will be termed eligible for admission. The eligibility criteria of IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018 is given below for the reference of the candidates.

  • The candidates should have completed their qualifying B.E/ B.Tech degree.

  • Should have secured more than 300 marks in GATE 2018 examination. SC/ST category candidates should have scored minimum 200 marks. GATE 2018 application form is now available till October 9, 2017 (8 pm).

  • IIT graduate candidates should have secured 8.5 CGPA in their qualifying degree. For SC/ST candidates the cutoff of CGPA is 6.75 to 6.25.

  • Those candidates who have cleared AMIE or Grad IETE qualifications may also be considered for admissions on the basis of their performance in AMIE/Grad IETE. They will be required to complete 24 valid undergraduate credits specified by the concerned DRC/CRC/PEC, and must have valid GATE scores.

The application form of IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018 was available in online mode from March 16 to April 16 till 4:00 pm. It is essential for the candidates to register themselves for the admission process. 


Steps to Fill IIT Delhi M.Tech Application Form 2018

  • The link for registrations will be available here as soon as it is released officially.

  • The candidates will have to register themselves with their email id. Password has to be generated.

  • While filling the application form, the candidates will have to submit his/her personal and academic information. Contact information also has to be submitted.

  • After submission of the form, an application number will be generated. The candidates will have to use the application number for the payment process.

  • The application fees has to be paid in online mode by using the “State Bank Collect” utility of State Bank of India.

IIT Delhi M.Tech Written Test 2018


Shortlisted candidates will have to attempt the written test to be finalized for allotment. Questions related to the syllabus of the course selected by the candidate will be asked in the written test. Following the test, an interview will also be conducted by the admission authorities. The performance of the candidates in the written test and interview will be considered during the allotment of seats.

IIT Delhi M.Tech Selection Criteria 2018


During the allotment of seats in IIT Delhi, the candidates will be selected based on their GATE scores and written test and interview. For IIT Graduates, their CGPA scores will be taken into consideration. 70% weightage will be given to GATE/ CGPA scores and the remaining 30% weightage will be given to the written test and interview. All candidates should meet the eligibility criteria to be allotted through the process of IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2018.



GATE COAP is the common offer acceptance portal where all candidates who wish to study M.Tech in IITs will have to register. The candidates will be able to check which admissions have been offered to them in a singular portal through GATE COAP. Selection and confirmation of the best offer can be done by the candidates easily. Along with registering for the IITs, the candidates will also be required to apply for GATE COAP 2018 as the admission will be offered through this portal.
