IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2025 - IIT Delhi has commenced the IIT Delhi 2025 M.Tech registration process on March 22, 2025 (12:00 PM). Candidates have to fill out the form by April 7, 2025. They need to provide the scored obtained in the GATE exam for MTech admission to IIT Delhi. The GATE 2025 results were declared on March 19, 2025. Aspirants must meet the GATE cutoff 2025 and the IIT Delhi M.Tech cutoff for admission to the institute. IIT Graduates with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are eligible for direct IIT Delhi M.Tech 2025 admission. Such candidates are not required to appear for the GATE 2025 exam. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for IIT Delhi M.Tech admission 2025 before filling out the application forms. Applicants will be eligible for final admission only if they satisfy the IIT Delhi M.Tech eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below.
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria for IIT Delhi M.Tech admission 2025 -
Candidates must have passed or appeared in the final year of their qualifying degree programme.
Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks/ 6.0 CGPA in their qualifying degree.
Applicants who are in their final year will be shortlisted based on their marks up to the seventh semester or 3rd year, provided that they satisfy all the aforementioned requirements before the third week of July 2025.
Candidates must have valid GATE scores.
Candidates who passed or are appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree from any Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 are eligible for direct admission to IIT Delhi, without having to qualify for GATE. Such candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks in graduation. The institute conducts personal interviews of shortlisted candidates and IIT Delhi M.Tech admission is offered based on the performance in the interview.
The authority is conducting the registration process for IIT Delhi M.Tech admission 2025 at the official website. Candidates have to register for COAP and then fill out the IIT Delhi M.Tech application form. The detailed steps for the IIT Delhi M.Tech 2025 admission process are provided below.
Step 1 - Registering at COAP Portal - Candidates applying for admission to IIT Delhi M.Tech admission 2025 through GATE scores must register for the Common Offer Admission Portal (COAP). Registering for COAP is mandatory for IIT Delhi M.Tech 2025 admission as seat allotment is done only by COAP. Students who are IIT graduates will need to check the schedule for the personal interview and appear for the interview as per the allotted date and time. The process of COAP registration is as follows-
Registration: Candidates will have to provide details about the GATE paper they have qualified and their “Date of Birth” to register for COAP. Students have to enter the following details at the time of COAP registration

After entering the above details, candidates will be required to click on the “Validate” button after entering all the above details to confirm the details submitted.
Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates will have to provide their preferred choices of the institutes to which they want admission. Candidates must fill and lock their choices within the specified dates failing which they will not be considered for the seat allotment process.
Step 2 - Filling application form - Candidates have to complete the following steps to fill out the IIT Delhi M.Tech application form-
Open the official portal of IIT Delhi PG admission and register using your mobile number, email address, and other basic details. Candidates will receive an email and message with their registration number and password.
Log in using the registration number and password to fill IIT Delhi M.Tech application form. Fill in choices of courses for which admission is desired. Also, candidates need to input the COAP registration number.
Upload scanned images of the passport-size coloured photograph and signature
Pay the required application fees
Finally, submit the application form and take a print of the system-generated filled form.

Step 3 - Seat Allotment - Candidates can check allotment status in COAP and IIT Delhi M.Tech admission portal as per the schedule of seat allotment. Those who are allotted a seat through COAP will have to confirm their admission by accepting the allotted seat. Students have to log in and check their seat allotment results as per the schedule of COAP.
