The status of applications usually takes a pretty long time to reflect on online portals.
Here's what you can do:
Scan the Portal Regularly: Check the portal regularly and see if anything has been updated. Sometimes it might take a couple of days for the system to compute the changes.
Contact Helpdesk: You can contact the helpdesk of eGATE 2025 or concerned departments. They can let you know the status of the application and what exactly should be done to make the process smooth.
Upload and Clear Documents: Confirm all required documents are uploaded clearly.
If still nothing results from these steps, contacting the relevant authorities head-on to seek clarification and assistance is advisable.
Hello aspirant
If you want to change your name in Gate application form and it is asking to upload the name change document then you must upload the document that have same name you want to get in Gate application form.
If your tenth Std certificate shows the name that you want to be in Gate application form then you can upload your class x certificate.
if you don't receive your EWS certificate in time for GATE counseling, your category will automatically change from GEN-EWS to GEN, meaning you will be considered under the General category during seat allocation.
It is safer to apply as EWS category to get reservation quota because at the time of counselling the respected authority will ask you to represent your income certificate so first apply for income certificate then EWS even if you haven't received the certificate yet, to avoid any last-minute issues and ensure you are considered for the appropriate seats.
THe only consequence is they will degrade you to general category thats it
Hello,
If your signature is still unclear after re-uploading, you may receive another notification from the GATE authorities to correct it. To avoid further issues, ensure the signature is on white paper with dark ink, scanned clearly, and meets the required size and format specifications mentioned in the guidelines. If issues persist, consider reaching out to the GATE helpdesk for assistance or re-uploading until accepted to prevent application rejection.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
