An aspirant must know how the JEE Main percentile score is calculated? The authority uses a formula to bring out the percentile score. This process is called a JEE Main normalisation formula. This calculation will provide equal treatment to all the candidates who appeared in all the shifts of the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main percentile score is calculated in the method below.
Raw Score: The JEE Main marks that candidates get out of a total 300 marks is called the raw score. The raw score is obtained by adding the 4 marks for each correct answer and deducting 1 for each wrong answer and giving zero for unattempted questions.
JEE Main Percentile Score = 100 (Number of candidates with raw score equal to or less than candidate's score / total number of candidates who appeared in the session)
