Candidates seeking admission to 2nd year of engineering degree course should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. Candidates failing to meet any criteria will not be allowed to participate in the admission process. The detailed eligibility criteria of the UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020 are mentioned below.
Candidates should have qualified the 3-year engineering diploma course from a recognized institute in Uttar Pradesh or candidates whose parents are domicile of U.P. will be eligible to apply.
Candidates should have passed the diploma engineering course with at least 45% aggregate marks. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the minimum required aggregate marks is 40%.
Candidates should have passed three years B.Sc. degree and class 12th with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
Candidates who are appearing for their final semester exam are also eligible to apply for UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020, but only if they meet the eligibility criteria by the time of counselling.
Candidates will be able to access the application form of UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020 tentatively in the third week of January. Candidates are advised to check that they fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria in order to be considered for admission. The admit card of UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020 will be released on the official website tentatively in the third week of April. Candidates will have to download it from the official website and should check that the details mentioned in the admit card is correct. In case of any discrepancies, candidates should contact the helpline as soon as possible. Without admit card of UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Also, candidates are advised to keep the admit card safely till the completion of admission process.
The authorities will declare the results of the UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020 tentatively in the first week of June. Candidates can check their result on the official website by clicking on the “Result” link. The result will consist of the total marks scored by the candidates in the examination along with some other details.
All the candidates who will qualify the UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020 will be a part of a merit list that will be released by the authorities after the declaration of result. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of a candidate in UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020 and a separate merit list will be prepared for each course.
All the candidates who will be a part of the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling of UPSEE Lateral Entry 2020. The authorities will release a notification regarding the counselling schedule and candidates should make sure that they reach for the counselling on the scheduled date and time.
After counselling, authorities will allot the seats to the candidates in the order of merit to all the students who take part in the counselling. All the candidates should reach the allotted institute on the date and time prescribed by the authorities. Failing to report on time will lead to forfeiture of a seat. Candidates will have to deposit the college fees and confirm their seat while reporting to the institute.
