GATE Cutoff Category Wise 2026- IIT Guwahati has uploaded the GATE 2026 cutoff table on the official website. The authority will release the GATE cutoff 2026 for each category separately at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The category-wise GATE cutoff 2026 marks is different for all papers as well. It is the minimum marks that one should obtain out of 100 marks in GATE 2026 exam For CSE, the General category GATE cut off is 30. While the EE GATE cut-off for General category is 27.7.

As per the latest GATE cutoff trends, candidates from the General category will likely have to secure a minimum of 25 marks to be eligible for any one of the GATE subjects for the 2026 exam. Note that 25 is only the qualifying marks for GATE; for admission to top NITs and IIITs, candidates will have to secure more than 40 marks.

The expected GATE cutoff or OBS and EWS category is likely to range from 20 to 23 for low-end, and 33 to 36 for the high-end. OBS and EWS students must secure the mentioned marks to pass the GATE 2026 exam. Check the cutoff marks for the top GATE subjects.

For the SC/ST category, the GATE cutoff can be expected to be 17-23 marks at the low end across subjects. The cutoff is generally lower compared to GEN and OBC. However, admission into top institutions might require 30+ for SC-ST students.
