NITIE Admission through GATE 2024: Candidates will be able to apply for NITIE admission 2024 through GATE by April 2024. The NITIE 2024 application form for admission through GATE will be available online at nitie.ac.in. Candidates must register before filling out the application and paying the application fee.
The GATE 2026 admit card has not been released yet, and IIT Guwahati has postponed its issue. Candidates will be able to download it from the official portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in using their login credentials once available. The hall ticket will carry details like candidate name, paper code, exam date and time, and test centre, and should be carried with a valid photo ID for the exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.

Candidates who will be shortlisted for NITIE admissions through GATE 2024 must attend the group discussion and personal interview on the given due date in online mode. Candidates can check the specified eligibility criteria before applying for admission. The NITIE eligibility criteria for admissions through GATE 2024 have been specified below.
General Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have valid GATE 2024 scores.
Candidates should have obtained 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD) in a full-time Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) degree in any branch from a recognized university.
Final-year students can also apply, provided they qualify for the above criteria.

The academic qualifications of such candidates must be at par with that of Indian students
Such candidates should have a valid GRE score as well as a valid TOEFL / IELTS score also ( scores more than two years are not accepted)
All international candidates must submit a “Statement of purpose (SOP)” along with two Letters of recommendation (LORs).
A supernumerary quota of 15% is reserved for international students in the PG programmes mentioned above.
The authority will release the window for the online application form on the official website. Candidates have to deposit the application fee before the last date after which the payment gateway will be closed. To apply, candidates have to enter their GATE details to register (not for international candidates).

The cutoff is the minimum GATE 2024 score that is used to shortlist candidates for the selection process. However, shortlisting is no guarantee that a seat will be allotted. The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the group discussion and personal interview as well as past academic performance. NITIE admission is based on a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) with appropriate weightage to GATE/ GRE score (as applicable), academic performance, and relevant experience of a reputed Industrial Organization/Academic Institution.
All the shortlisted candidates will be informed about the GD and PI which will be conducted online.
Candidates shortlisted for admission to the Programme at NITIE will be intimated by email and/ or online notification.
All GATE-qualified candidates who take admissions will get a Teaching Assistantship of Rs.12400/- per month and contingency expenditure as per rules.
SC/ST candidates will be eligible for the Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India subject to the satisfactory fulfilment of eligibility.
Waiver of Tuition Fee:
30% Waiver Scheme - Any student whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs in the last financial year shall be eligible for a 30% waiver in Tuition fees (Academic Charges) under the Scheme. Annual family income is defined as the income of parents and spouse if any.
50% Waiver Scheme - Any student whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 1.00 lakh in the last financial year shall be eligible for a 50% waiver in Tuition fees (Academic Charges) under the Scheme. Annual family income is defined as the income of parents and spouse if any.

Mediclaim policy is mandatory for all students (including sponsored candidates) enrolling in various programs. Annual premium coverage for Rs.1,00,000/- will be collected along with other fees.
