The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) offers admissions to its PG Diploma programmes in Project Management, Manufacturing Management and Industrial Engineering on the basis of valid GATE scores pertaining to 2017/2018/2019. Eligibility Criteria for NITIE Admission through GATE 2019
Candidates can check the specified eligibility criteria before applying for admissions. The NITIE eligibility criteria for admissions through GATE have been specified below.
Candidates should have valid GATE scores as on June 15, 2019
Candidates should have obtained 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD) in a full-time Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) degree in any branch from a recognized university.
Final year students can also apply, provided they qualify the above criteria. Such students must submit their result by September 30, 2019.
Programme wise Eligibility for NITIE admission through GATE 2019
PGDIE: Applicants who have studied any branch in Engineering/ Technology can apply.
PGDMM: Applicants must have passed the following engineering disciplines to be eligible to apply – mechanical, production, automobile, chemical, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics.
PGDPM: Candidates with the following engineering disciplines can apply – mechanical, production, automobile, chemical, civil, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics.
A supernumerary quota of 15% is reserved for international students in the PG programmes mentioned above.
It is mandatory that the academic qualifications of such candidates should be at par with that of Indian students
Such candidates should have a valid GRE score as well as a valid TOEFL / IELTS score also( scores more than two years are not accepted)
All international candidates must submit a “Statement of purpose (SOP)” along with two Letters of recommendations (LORs).
How to apply for NITIE Admissions through GATE 2019?
The application form for the NITIE admission through GATE 2019 was available in online mode. Candidates have to enter their GATE details to register (not for international candidates). The steps for filling the application form of NITIE admissions through GATE 2019 are given below.
Step 1 – Registration: Candidates must fill the following details
GATE Registration number (Enter Uppercase alphabets and numbers only
Email Address: Same email id which is submitted while GATE/GRE registration
Full Name: Enter in UPPERCASE as it appears in the marksheet of Xth Std.
Date of Birth
Password: System Generated. Candidates are advised to save this.
After registration, candidates will receive the password over email.

The cutoff is the minimum GATE score that is used to shortlist candidates for the selection process. However, shortlisting is no guarantee that a seat will be allotted. The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the group discussion and personal interview as well as past academic performance. Selection Procedure for NITIE Admissions through GATE 2019
NITIE admission will be based on a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) with appropriate weightage to GATE/ GRE score (as applicable), academic performance and relevant experience of reputed Industrial Organization/Academic Institution.
All the shortlisted candidates will be called for GD and PI at NITIE, Mumbai.
Shortlisted International candidates will also be required to attend GD and PI along with Indian students or take up an extempore speech and PI through video conferencing.
Candidates shortlisted for admission to the Programme at NITIE will be intimated by email and/ or online notification

All GATE qualified candidates who take admissions will get Teaching Assistantship of Rs.12400/- per month and contingency expenditure as per rules.
SC/ST candidates will be eligible for the Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India subject to the satisfactory fulfilment of eligibility.
Waiver of Tuition Fee:
30% Waiver Scheme - Any student whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs in the last financial year shall be eligible for 30% waiver in Tuition fee (Academic Charges) under the Scheme. Annual family income is defined as the income of parents and spouse if any.
50% Waiver Scheme – Any student whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 1.00 lakh in the last financial year shall be eligible for 50% waiver in Tuition fee (Academic Charges) under the Scheme. Annual family income is defined as the income of parents and spouse if any.

Dear Pramod, IIT Delhi has closed registrations for GATE 2020 as on October 5th, 2019 along with late fees. Now the correction window has been opened. At this juncture, registering for GATE 2020 is not a possibility. You may have to wait until the next year if you plan on appearing for GATE. For GATE 2020, you have been late.
