NITIE Admission through GATE – The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) offers admissions to its PG Diploma programmes in Project Management, Manufacturing Management and Industrial Engineering on the basis of valid GATE scores pertaining to 2016/2017/2018. The application forms of NITIE Admission through GATE are available till March 28, 2018. Candidates must register first before filling the application and paying the application fee. NITIE Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check the specified eligibility criteria before applying for admissions. The NITIE eligibility criteria for admissions through GATE have been specified below.
Candidates must have valid GATE scores as on June 15, 2018
Candidates must have obtained 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD) in a full-time Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) degree in any branch from a recognized university.
Final year students can also apply, provided they qualify the above criteria. Such students must submit their result by September 30, 2018.
Programme wise Eligibility for NITIE admission through GATE
PGDIE: Applicants who have studied any branch in Engineering/ Technology can apply.
PGDMM: Applicants must have passed the following engineering disciplines to be eligible to apply – mechanical, production, automobile, chemical, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics.
PGDPM: Candidates with the following engineering disciplines can apply – mechanical, production, automobile, chemical, civil, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics.
A supernumerary quota of 15% is reserved for international students in the PG programmes mentioned above.
It is mandatory that the academic qualifications of such candidates should be at par with that of Indian students
Such candidate should have a valid GRE score as well as a valid TOEFL / IELTS score also( scores more than two years are not accepted)
All international candidates must submit a “Statement of purpose (SOP)” along with two Letters of recommendations (LORs).

How to apply for NITIE Admissions through GATE?
The application for the NITIE admission through GATE is online only. Candidates must enter their GATE details to register (not for international candidates). The steps for filling the application form of NITIE admissions through GATE are given below.

Password: System Generated. Candidates are advised to save this.
After registration, candidates will receive the password over email.

The cutoff is the minimum GATE score that is used to shortlist candidates for the selection process. However, shortlisting is no guarantee that a seat will be allotted. The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the group discussion and personal interview as well as past academic performance. Selection Procedure for NITIE Admissions through GATE
NITIE admission will be based on a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) with appropriate weightage to GATE/ GRE score (as applicable), academic performance and relevant experience of reputed Industrial Organization/Academic Institution.
All the shortlisted candidates will be called for GD and PI at NITIE, Mumbai.
Shortlisted International candidates are also required to attend GD and PI along with Indian students or take up an extempore speech and PI through video conferencing.

All GATE qualified candidates who take admissions will get Teaching Assistantship of Rs.12400/- per month and contingency expenditure as per rules.
SC/ST candidates will be eligible for the Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India subject to the satisfactory fulfilment of eligibility.
Waiver of Tuition Fee:
30% Waiver Scheme - Any student whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakhs in the last financial year shall be eligible for 30% waiver in Tuition fee (Academic Charges) under the Scheme. Annual family income is defined as the income of parents and spouse if any.
50% Waiver Scheme – Any student whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 1.00 lakh in the last financial year shall be eligible for 50% waiver in Tuition fee (Academic Charges) under the Scheme. Annual family income is defined as the income of parents and spouse if any.
