JEE Main 2026 Student Reactions Session 2 - NTA has concluded the JEE Main 2026 April 6 shift 1 exam. As per JEE participants, the JEE Main 2026 April 6 shift 1 exam paper was easy compared to the January shift, but slightly more challenging than the exam held on April 5. The Physics paper was moderately lengthy and time-consuming. The chemistry paper was moderate to hard. And the Math paper was a bit harder compared to the two papers. The JEE Main 2026 April 6 shift 1 exam was overall moderately difficult but easy compared to the January session. However, in comparison to the April 5 exam, the shift was a bit challenging. The exam paper difficulty level was Maths> Chemistry> Physics.
The JEE Main April 5 shift 1 & 2 exam was easy to moderate. Candidates found the April 5 question paper comparatively easier than the January 2026 session. The Math paper was easy but lengthy. The Physics and Chemistry were manageable.
The JEE Main April 2 Shift 1 exam was concluded at 12 PM. The students found the exam shift to be easy, stating that the session 2 exam was doable compared to the JEE Main session 2 exam. The Math paper was lengthy but manageable with proper time management. Physics and Chemistry were easy to moderate with a variety of questions on the statement board.
The JEE Main 2026 shift 2 April 2 exam has concluded. The shift 2 exam was of an easy difficulty level, ranging from Math>Physics>Chemistry. Overall, the April 2 exam papers consist of simpler calculations, balanced subject coverage, and manageable time pressure.
As per the latest reaction, students found the JEE Main session 1 2026 exam moderate to easy. Math was a challenging aspect of the paper, but the drawing and aptitude were mostly easy. Further, students found the Jan 28 morning shift hard and the afternoon shift easy. The Math paper was difficult in comparison to the Math and Physics paper over the two shifts.
As per the students' reaction to the Jan 28 shift 2 exam, the paper was easy to moderate. The difficulty level subject-wise: Mathematics, followed by Chemistry and Physics. The Math paper has lengthy questions, with an average time taken of 90 minutes. Next Physics was easy with formula-based questions and easy calculations. Finally, Chemistry was at a moderate level. The paper was mostly statement-based and had lengthy integer-type questions. Overall, Math was lengthy, Chemistry was balanced, and Physics largey formula based.
As per the students' reaction, the Jan 28 shift 1 exam was hard. Paper-wise mathematics was hard compared to both papers.
Applicants participating in the Jan 24 shift 2 exam commented that the shift was moderate. The Chemistry and Math paper was the toughest and most time-consuming. Similar to the previous shift, the Math paper has lengthy questions which required time for calculation. Most studenst toom atleast 6 to 7 minutes to solve one problem. The Chemistry paper was lengthy and statement-based and took students more than 50 minutes to complete. Physics was easy compared to the morning shift. Most questions from the Physics paper were based form Class 11 book.
Candidates who have attempted the Jan 24 shift 1 paper found it easier in comparison to yesterday's shift. However, despite being easy, it was time-consuming due to the question's length. The paper difficulty level was Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Maths was moderate & lengthy, a few questions in requried careful calculations and time management was a must. The physics paper was moderate and lengthy in comparison to Maths and Chemistry. The Chemistry Paper was easy to moderate compared tothe Jan 21, 22, and 23 shifts. The paper has a balanced mix of concepts from Physical, Organic, and Inorganic.

Candidates found the shift 2 was moderate compared to the Jan 22 morning shift. The overall paper's difficulty level was Mathematics > Chemistry > Physics. Candidates found Math to be difficult compared to the other two papers. It was lengthy as usual and time-consuming. And there were around 4-5 statement-based questions in the Chemistry paper. However, the Physics paper was less tough compared to the Jan 22 morning shift.
The students found the JEE Main Jan 22 Shift 1 to be moderate to hard. The overall paper was difficult compared to last year's shifts. The Jan 22 shift 1 Chemistry paper was easy this time compared to yesterday's (shift 1) paper. The Physics paper was on the upper hand this shift; candidates were finding it difficult to solve most of the questions in Physics. Overall Math paper was moderate; it was less time-consuming than Chemistry but tougher than Physics due to its length. The JEE Main 2026 Jan 21 shift 2 paper was moderate as there were multiple repeated questions from previous years. Candidates found the Physics and Chemistry papers moderate. The JEE Main Jan 29 shift 2 exam was said to be of moderate difficulty. Physics was the easiest followed by chemistry which was moderate in difficulty and maths was the most challenging due to lengthy calculation based problems. JEE Main 2024 January 29- Students Reactions
NTA has conducted the JEE Mains 2024 29 January paper shift 1. The authorities will conclude the JEE Main 29 January shift 2 at 6 PM. Candidates can check the student's reaction for JEE Main January 29 shift 1 here.
Shift 1 - Students found the Physics and Mathematics sections moderately challenging. The chemistry section was easy. The paper covered topics from both classes 11 and 12, however, students found that Physics section had more questions from class 12.
JEE Main 2024 January 27- Students Reactions

JEE Main shift 1 Students Reaction:
As per the students, the overall paper was moderate in difficulty level.
Mathematics: Students found the Mathematics part was moderate. It was assessed as difficult by some students because of the calculations involved in some of the questions. There were 7 to 8 questions from calculus. Questions on relation, function, continuity and differentiability, and application of derivatives were asked in good measure as also questions from integral calculus and differential equations besides area under curves were all asked. There were not less than 7 questions from algebra, about 3 questions from coordinate geometry and about 4 questions from vectors and 3-dimensional geometry, there were about 2 questions from trigonometry as well.
Physics: For many students, the Physics paper was of easy to moderate difficulty level. Questions were asked from almost all chapters -not less than 8 questions from Mechanics, about 4 questions from Heat and Thermodynamics,3 or 4questions from electricity and magnetics, and 2 or 3 questions asked from modern physics. There were questions on Semiconductors and communications in the numerical section of the paper. There were questions about waves and oscillations, units and measurements and experimental physics.
Chemistry: This paper was easy to Moderate and NCERT based. An almost equal number of questions were asked from the Physical, Inorganic and Organic branches of Chemistry. The majority of questions in the numerical value section were from Physical Chemistry. The whole of the paper was NCERT based. Covering NCERT and its Examples would be the key to scoring good marks. Chapters like Biomolecules, Environmental chemistry, qualitative analysis and chemistry in everyday life besides regular topics found due represented in the paper. Questions on electrochemistry, redox reactions, volumetric analysis, equilibrium and thermochemistry were asked in good measure. Questions from s block,p block, and coordination compounds were also set. All the main chapters from organic chemistry were duly covered.
JEE Main 2022 shift 2 Students Reaction:
As per the students reaction, the difficulty level of JEE Main July 29 shift 2 paper was moderate. The Mathematics section was quite tough while Chemistry section was easy and the Physics section was moderate in terms of difficulty.
Mathematics – Moderately Tough. Questions covered almost all chapters with weightage to Calculus & Algebra. There were mixed concepts questions from Circle & Ellipse, Permutation & Combination, Probability-2 questions, Matrices-3 questions, Quadratic Equations & Complex numbers in Algebra. In Calculus- Differential Equations had 2 to 3 questions. 3D Geometry & Vectors had 3 questions. Numerical Based question had lengthy calculations as per students.
Physics – Easy level. The physics section was overall balanced. Some scoring questions were asked from Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Fluids, SHM, Work, Power & Energy, Rotational Motion, Heat & Thermodynamics, Kinematics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetism, AC Circuits & Communication Systems. Optics & Current Electricity had more than 2 questions each. This was a scoring section as per students.
Chemistry – Easy to Moderate level. Physical & Inorganic Chemistry had more weightage while organic Chemistry had some mixed concept, lengthy & tricky from Phenols & Alcohols(in chain reaction form), GOC, Biomolecules. In Physical Chemistry, questions were asked from Mole Concept, Ionic Equilibrium, Chemical Equilibrium, Electrochemistry- 2 questions, Thermodynamics. Numerical Based questions from Physical Chemistry were lengthy but easy. Inorganic Chemistry had questions from Co-ordination Compounds, p Block, Ores & Metallurgy, Environmental Chemistry and Chemistry in Everyday Life.
