AEEE 2016 is a national level exam conducted by Amrita University for admission to 4 year B.Tech. Degree programmes offered in its three campuses at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of B.Tech. programmes (2016-20) through counselling, based on their ranks in AEEE 2016. Candidates can know the relevant details about B.Tech. programmes, fee structure, modes of examination, exam centres, syllabus, application forms, counselling etc. below. The exam will be conducted in two modes – Computer Based Text (CBT) and Pen & Paper Based Test (PPT). The computer based test for AEEE 2016 was held on 17th, 18th and 19th April 2016, while the Pen & Paper based test will take place on 23rd April 2016. The last date of submitting the filled in Application Form (OMR & Online) is March 30, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for AEEE 2016:
Candidates are required to be born on or after 1st July 1995.
Applicants should have passed in 10+2 (class XII) or its equivalent with an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. They should also secure 55% marks in each of these three subjects.
Candidates with a three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education are also eligible.
Note: Students, who appear for AEEE 2016 examinations in March/April 2016 and expect to secure minimum marks as above, may also apply.
AEEE 2016 Exam pattern:
The AEEE 2016 was conducted in two separate modes - (1) Computer Based Test (CBT) and (2) Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P).
Candidates can choose either CBT or P&P as per their choice. But not both. If a candidate chooses both modes, his/her application may be rejected.
Duration of Exam: 2 Â½ hours
CBT based exam will be conducted on the following dates, with multiple slots:
April 17, 2016, Sunday
April 18, 2016, Monday
April 19, 2016, Tuesday
Candidates shall mark their first, second and third preference of dates in the application, whereas the number of operating slots will depend on the number of candidates registered in each centre.
The allotment of slots/dates will be on first come first served basis. If a candidate does not exercise his/her option, he/she shall be assigned a slot/date as per the availability of the same.
Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P)
P&P is conducted in one slot only as below:

AEEE 2016 will have 100 questions worth 300 marks in totality for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Mathematics - 40 questions (120 marks)
Physics - 30 questions (90 marks)Chemistry - 30 questions (90 marks)
Each correct answer will carry 3 marks, whereas for each wrong answer, 1 mark (negative marking) will be deducted.
AEEE 2016 Online Application Procedure:
The Online Application Form for AEEE 2016 were available till March 30, 2016.
Candidates were required to first register with their name and email.
After registration, a password was sent by the amrita university so that candidates can log in and apply.
Applicants were required to pay AEEE 2016 Application Fees of Rs 1,000 through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
To submit AEEE 2016 Application Form, the candidates had to upload the soft copies of a recently taken passport size colour photograph (in digital form), signature of the candidate (in digital form).
Applicants must had the Printout of the computer generated AEEE 2016 Application Form for future reference.
In person: AEEE 2016 OMR Application Form can be obtained from November 2, 2015 onwards:
The Printed OMR Application Form of AEEE 2016 could be obtained from its sales outlet - Post Offices and Banks, on the payment of Rs. 1,000.
Candidates could also obtain the Application Form of AEEE 2016 directly from University Counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore by submitting a demand draft for Rs. 1000 drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore.
Candidates could also obtain AEEE 2016 Printed OMR Application Form by post, from the Admission Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore (Address given below), on a written request indicating their full communication address together with a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000 drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore.
While preparing a demand draft, the candidate is required to write on the back of the Demand Draft, “B.Tech Application”, his/her Name and mobile number.
Applicants must also keep a photocopy of the filled in application and Demand Draft with them for future reference.

AEEE 2016 Hall Ticket or Identity Card:
Candidates can download the Hall Ticket by using Application Number and Date of Birth. Hall Ticket will not be sent by post.
Candidates are required to produce any of the following documents to prove their identity:
(1) Voter ID Card
(2) Aadhaar Card
(3) ID Card issued by the school last attended
(4) Any other authentic document which proves identity.
Any candidate was not allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination without a valid hall ticket.
The Hall Ticket carries particulars like Name and Registration Number of the candidate, Date of Exam, Address of the Exam Centre allotted to the candidate, etc.
Candidates are required to retain their hall tickets used in the examination hall having the signature of the invigilator and produce the same at the time of counselling.
AEEE 2016 Exam Centres:

Candidates should have passed in Class 12 or equivalent exam. Candidates those who will appear for the qualifying exam in March/April 2020 will also be eligible to apply for AEEE 2020 and also scored minimum marks.
At least 60% of aggregate marks should have been scored in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics). They need to score a minimum of 55% marks and also individually in these three subjects.
