About CIEAT 2020

Crescent Institute Engineering Admission Test, commonly called as CIEAT is conducted by B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology for admission to B.Tech programmes offered by the institute. The application form for CIEAT 2020 was released by the institute in online mode. Candidates could fill the application form for appearing in the entrance exam till March 20. CIEAT 2020 will be conducted from July 15 to 19.  The admit card of CIEAT 2020 will only be released for successfully registered candidates.  However, to be able to download the admit card and also appear in the exam, candidates will have to book their slots. Following the result of CIEAT 2020, a merit list will be prepared and candidates will be invited for counselling on its basis. Seats will be allotted to candidates in offline mode on the basis of their result and availability of seats.

Candidates with valid JEE Main scores are exempt from appearing for CIEAT and can apply on the basis of their JEE Main ranks for which a separate merit list will be prepared and announced by the University.

CIEAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

A set of parameters prescribed by the authorities of B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology for admissions constitute the eligibility criteria of CIEAT 2020. Candidates applying will have to adhere to eligibility criteria to avoid rejection of their application forms. 

CIEAT eligibility criteria 2020 has the following parameters:

Age Limit: To be eligible for CIEAT, candidates’ should be born on or after July 1, 1998.

Regular Study: Candidates should have acquired Regular, full time and formal education to be considered eligible for CIEAT.

Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam conducted by State Board / CBSE / ICSE with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. However, for Biotechnology and Cancer Biotechnology programmes, minimum 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry are required.

Candidates appearing for 10+2 exam in March /April 2020 will also be eligible to apply.

Entrance Exam: Candidates will have to appear in CIEAT entrance exam or JEE Main to be eligible to apply.

CIEAT 2020 Application Process

The application form of CIEAT 2020 was available both in online and offline mode. Candidates could fill the application form in both online and offline mode with correct information in all the required fields and submit CIEAT 2020 application form on or before the last date.

CIEAT application form 2020 included following steps:

Step 1- Filling of Personal Details: Candidates had to fill their personal details like full name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile number, email Id etc with three preferences of B.Tech programmes.

Step 2 – Providing Qualification Details & Uploading Photograph: Candidates had to provide their qualification exam details like year and month of passing, registration number, marks obtained etc. They also had to upload their recent passport size color photograph in the dimensions specified officially.

Step 3 – Payment of Fees: After uploading the photograph, candidates had to pay the application fees of Rs 1000.

The fees could be paid in either mode – online or offline. 

For online mode - Candidates could pay the fees in online mode.

For offline mode – To pay the fees in offline mode, candidates had to pay through DD. Candidates could also choose to pay through cash at the fee counter of the university. Candidates paying through DD had to send the DD to the University to avoid rejection of the application form.

Step 4 – Submission: Candidates had to agree to the declaration given and check the preview of the form filled. Once satisfied, candidates had to to submit it.

CIEAT 2020 Admit Card

Only those candidates who will book their slots on time will be able to download their CIEAT admit card 2020. Candidates must note that the admit card will be an important document to be carried to the examination hall as entry without it will be restricted under any circumstances. The admit card of CIEAT 2020 will contain information like candidates’ name, photograph, roll number, exam name, name and complete address of exam centre allotted.

  • Take two printouts and keep it safe for future use

CIEAT 2020 Slot Booking

As CIEAT is an exam that is in online mode, candidates have to book their slots to be able to appear in the exam.

During CIEAT slot booking 2020, candidates will have to choose date and timings according to their convenience and submit their choices. Depending on the availability, the institute will then allot slots to candidates.

CIEAT 2020 Result

The institute will announce the result of CIEAT 2020 entrance exam in online mode. Candidates will be able to check their CIEAT 2020 result by using their application number and date of birth to login. CIEAT result 2020 will mention the candidates’ ranks and scores obtained. On the basis of ranks secured, the authorities will prepare a merit list which will be used further for admission process.

There will be two separate merit lists – for CIEAT’s applicants and another for candidates who have applied on the basis of their JEE Main result.

CIEAT 2020 Counselling

Mode of Counselling: Offline

CIEAT counselling 2020 will be conducted by the institute on the basis of entrance exams result and merit list. The qualified candidates will be invited for CIEAT 2020 counselling according to their ranks in the merit list. Candidates will have to be present physically at the time of CIEAT counselling 2020 along with their original documents and fees to be paid in case of seat allotment.

Is it necessary to write admission test if we have already written jee Main

In some universities that are deemed when you apply there to ask you for an entrance exam so is the case with many private colleges that require an interview and an examination as well so there may be a different selection criteria of a different selection process in every university or the college you appear for so writings is not very necessary but yes it is a method where many colleges are you know recruiting their future engineers from.
