Highest Package of IITs: Students from top IITs receive some of the best placement packages. According to the information available, the highest package offered at IIT in 2024 ranged between Rs 1.68 CPA to Rs 34 LPA. The Indian Institute of Technology are known for offering the highest packages among other colleges. However, there was an overall decrease in placements due to global economic slowdown. Several IITs have reported that starting from this session, the highest package details will not be disclosed to the public to reduce unnecessary pressure on the students.   1. IIT Kharagpur: IIT Kharagpur secure a NIRF 2024 ranking of 5. As per IIT Kharagpur placement 2023-24, a total of 118 students were placed. The average salary was Rs 20.83 LPA. By receiving the highest package offer of 2.68 Crore on the first day of placement during 2022-23 IIT Kharagpur became the top IIT to do so. A total of 45 international offers were received by the students. These offers include job offers from Japan(28), Taiwan(9), US (3), Singapore (2) and others(3).
  2. IIT Kanpur: As per phase 1 IIT Kanpur placement report 2023-24, 74 international offers have been made which is approximately 57% more as compared to last year. So far, the highest domestic package received is INR 1.9 Cr. In all, 33 offers above INR 1 Cr have been received from various international and national organisations.IIT Kanpur top recruiters. After a gap of two years, IIT Kanpur conducted placements in hybrid mode. Approximately 250+ companies, including 35+ startups, participated in phase 1 campus hiring and offered 1200 jobs. More than 60 companies extended 208 PPOs which is 33% more as compared to last year's PPOs.

The highest domestic package received is INR 1.9 Cr. In all, 33 offers above INR 1 Cr have been received from various international and national organisations. Last year, the highest packages at the end of Phase 1 of placement season 2021-22, were USD 287,550 for international and Rs. 1.2 Cr for domestic.

4. IIT Delhi: The institute has released the placement record for the year 2023-24 on the official website. The placement record mentioned the number of students who bagged the placement and the packages offered to them.

Around 89.41% BTech students have been placed during IIT Delhi placement 2023-24. Out of 1059 offers, 50+ placement offers were from international organisations. Some of the top recruiters include Air India, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj Auto, and Ola Electric.

Around 650 full-time job offers and around 550 unique job selections were bagged by students by the end of Day 1. An increase of 20% in the number of job offers received has been witnessed over the last year. Top recruiters include American Express, Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, Enphase Solar Energy, Intel, Praxis Global Alliance, and Strategy&. Over 50 students bagged domestic offers with CTC of more than Rs. 1 Cr per annum. Around 20 students have received international job offers from Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Jee main registration is live but I don't know if I have an option of choosing exam centre. Because I live in kota for prep but my hometown is in Bihar. And admit card is released just before the exams, it will be tough for me to catch.

Hello,

Yes, during JEE Main registration, you can choose up to four preferred exam cities in order of priority. Since you are staying in Kota but belong to Bihar, you can select both locations. For example, Kota as your first choice and your hometown city in Bihar as another option.
When the admit card is released (usually a week before the exam), the final center will be allotted from your chosen options.

I am reappearing in 12th cbse exams 2026 as I had a compartment in over-all result. I have to fill for jee mains and advanced in 2026, but now NTA requires 11th registration number, so will it hamper my enrollment in mains? Will NTA consider me a 12th grader or a dropper? Please explain in detail.

You can fill your JEE main and advance forms 2026 normally . No, your 11th registration number will not cause any problem.

You will be treated as 12th appearing student in 2026, not as a dropper . You just need to make sure that your CBSE 12th result comes out in 2026 before counselling.

I have done my 10th and 12th in punjab but my both parents are from himachal. Next year is jee, can I still apply for himachal state quota? or am I only eligible for punjab domicile?

To be eligible for Himachal Pradesh state quota you must have passed atleast two examinations from Himachal pradesh including the 10th and 12th grades. The other criteria are for government employee wards, if the parents have worked there for atleast two years and completed their 10th and 12th from HP.
