The authority has issued the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit cards for the April 2 and April 4 exams on March 29, 2026. The JEE Main 2026 admit card for session 2 link has been updated on the official portal, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will need their JEE Main 2026 application number and password to download the admit card. The NTA JEE exam for session 2 is from April 2 and 8, 2026.

December 1, 2025 - The JEE Main 2026 form correction commences.
November 20, 2025- JEE Main 2026 form correction dates and editable fields released. The process will start on December 1, 2025. Newly, candidates will be able to edit the State code of Eligibility and identity details (only if not chosen Aadhaar).
October 31, 2025- JEE Main 2026 registration commenced. The last date to apply for the session 1 JEE Main exam was November 27, 2025. JEE Main information bulletin, syllabus, exam pattern, eligibility and test city details released. NTA has introduced an on screen virtual calculator this year.
October 19, 2025- This year, NTA will introduce an Aadhaar-based data update facility apart from increasing the exam centres. The JEE Main 2026 exam will be held between January 21 to 30 (session 1) and April 1 to 10 (session 2).
September 29, 2025- JEE Main advisory to update the UDID, Aadhaar and category certificates. JEE Main 2026 registration date will be in October. The Session 1 and 2 JEE Main 2026 exams will be held in January and April, respectively.

NTA has released the JEE Main notice for eligibility criteria along with the information brochure. The notice includes the details on who will be able to apply for the exam. As per JEE Mains eligibility criteria, candidates must have cleared the class 12th / equivalent in 2024/ 2025 or must be taking the QE in 2026. There is no age limit for taking the test. Aspirants must have cleared the 10+2 exam or its equivalent from a recognised Central/State Board.

The JEE Main 2026 exam pattern has been released along with the brochure. The authority has informed about the pattern through the NTA JEE Mains notice. Last year, changes were made in Section B of each subject. All 5 questions were made compulsory.
