NTA JEE Mains 2026 Notice- National Testing Agency publishes the NTA JEE Main notice 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The latest NTA JEE Main notice details are provided here. The JEE Main 2026 intimation slip will be released in the first week of January 2026. The NTA JEE exam is scheduled between January 21 to 30 (session 1) and April 2 to 9 (session 2). Moreover, the authority has increased the number of test cities to 323. Also, NTA has introduced an on-screen virtual calculator along with the option to provide a UDID card (for those applicable). Candidates are advised to update the Adhaar, category certificate and UDID before the registration. Further, the authority held the JEE Mains form correction 2026 between December 1 and 2, 2025.

  • December 2, 2025 - The JEE Main 2026 form correction window was closed.

  • December 1, 2025 - The JEE Main 2026 form correction commences.

  • November 20, 2025- JEE Main 2026 form correction dates and editable fields released. The process will start on December 1, 2025. Newly, candidates will be able to edit the State code of Eligibility and identity details (only if not chosen Aadhaar).

  • October 31, 2025- JEE Main 2026 registration commenced. The last date to apply for the session 1 JEE Main exam was November 27, 2025. JEE Main information bulletin, syllabus, exam pattern, eligibility and test city details released. NTA has introduced an on screen virtual calculator this year.

  • October 19, 2025- This year, NTA will introduce an Aadhaar-based data update facility apart from increasing the exam centres. The JEE Main 2026 exam will be held between January 21 to 30 (session 1) and April 1 to 10 (session 2).

  • September 29, 2025- JEE Main advisory to update the UDID, Aadhaar and category certificates. JEE Main 2026 registration date will be in October. The Session 1 and 2 JEE Main 2026 exams will be held in January and April, respectively.

NTA JEE Mains Notice 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

NTA has released the JEE Main notice for eligibility criteria along with the information brochure. The notice includes the details on who will be able to apply for the exam. NTA JEE Main 2026 Notice on Exam Pattern

The JEE Main 2026 exam pattern has been released along with the brochure. The authority has informed about the pattern through the NTA JEE Mains notice. Last year, changes were made in Section B of each subject. All 5 questions were made compulsory. JEE Main

  • JEE Main can be given for 3 consecutive years after 12th.

  • Each year has 2 sessions .

  • You are eligible in 2025, 2026 and 2027 .

  • Since you did not appear in 2025, you still have:

    • 2026 – 2 attempts

    • 2027 – 2 attempts

JEE Main attempts left: 4

JEE Advanced

  • JEE Advanced can be given for 2 consecutive years after 12th.

  • You were eligible in 2025 and 2026 .

  • Since you missed 2025, you can appear only in 2026 .

JEE Advanced attempts left: 1

For JEE (for IT / engineering) :

10th percentage

  • There is no fixed minimum percentage needed in Class 10 to prepare for JEE.

  • You just need to pass Class 10 .

Important part is Class 12

  • You must study Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 11 and 12 .

  • You must pass Class 12 from a recognized board .

Minimum marks in Class 12

  • For JEE Advanced : at least 75% marks in Class 12
    (65% for SC/ST).

  • For JEE Main : you must pass Class 12.
    Many colleges also ask 75% .

If you study in a foreign country

  • Your Class 11 and 12 certificate must be equivalent to CBSE/ISC .

  • You need an equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities) .

  • You must have Physics, Chemistry, Maths .
